Property Ratings at Village of Canton
The service is horrible. It took more than 7 days to just fix water leakage in the disposal, still not fix the molds. There is significant water damage to the base of the kitchen cabinet underneath the sink. We found there was still water trapped and serious molds underneath the base of the kitchen cabinet. I even don’t feel safe breathing the air.
This has honestly been the worst place I have ever lived in. The look of the community is fine, but the maintenance and managers here are horrific and do not care about your safety or comfortability. I have been trying to get our front door fixed for 9 months because it is very loose and unsafe. I have been ignored over and over again by both maintenance and the managers. They have even lied by saying the job was completed when no one ever showed up. I have sent emails and even talked in person about this issue but have not had any sort of good experience or much of a response. The only time they actually put any sort of effort into fixing this problem was when I sent a legal letter stating I wasn't going to pay rent until it was done. They "fixed" it by only adding things to the door frame that honestly made it much worse and were not even properly installed. Any other maintenance requests I have made living here were poorly done as well. The people came to look and all they did was say "oh this is fine it works" when it could potentially be a safety hazard. Living here has been awful and a very stressful experience, and I will absolutely not be renewing my lease. I think a complete change in management and maintenance team would be the only way to make living here a decent experience. I have felt unsafe and ignored for 9 months by grown adults who do not care about the safety or quality of life of their residents. I have had not a single positive interaction and had to take legal action in order for things to be even looked at or done. However, the quality is horrific and nothing is done properly. I attempted for so long to be polite and patient, but not a single person has been helpful or truly done their job correctly. I work every single day of the week with multiple jobs, and I don't have the energy to fight for the simple rights we have as residents who pay rent. My maintenance requests and emails to management are always ignored for weeks or months. There are many other issues I have had within the apartment which have been ignored as well. I am truly excited for my lease to be up so that I can move and never come back.
The property looks good online, however when calling them to get an appointment to view or just to get a couple of questions answered they have hung up on me (Today), or simply don't answer at all. I've been calling for weeks.
Village green of Canton isn’t a bad place to live. It’s affordable and comfortable to live in. The office workers are respectful and helpful as well.
Village Green Canton has been a very good experience. The staff is supper helpful and accommodating. They also put on events allowing you the opportunity to meet your neighbors etc. They also have options in the club house that allows you to apply club house fees to your next rent. If I had to pick one downer it would be the fact that the buildings are getting a little rough outside and need improvements. Also the time frame to fix issues such as apartment issues and pool issues run a little slow, but get done. I chose 4 stars because there is always room for improvement.
