Property Ratings at Village on the Green
Please don't be fooled by Ms. Janet's fake hospitality during your tour of this property! She will swoon you in on a tour and once the papers are signed completely do an about face. Make sure you do a walk through of your apartment prior to the day of move in they will show you one model and rent you another. Also if your looking at that beautiful pool in the front you can cancel Christmas on swimming in it because its the middle of summer and they are still "waiting on a city inspection" there were over 50 cars broken into and no notice went out to residents about what happened however they send out emails about what you can and can't have on your patio. Maintenance men are wonderful however they have horrible people in the management office like Ms. Janet who make keeping them on board rather difficult. If you want luxury this aint it look elsewhere!
The 1 bedroom is a nice size the corner space is just perfect for my home office. The balcony is beautiful overlooking the green space. The apartment was clean with new carpet. The entire staff was nice and very professional. A special thanks to Ms Janet she loves her job and it shows.
This apartment and the property management staff have communication issues. On (12.17) I called to confirm a tor there was booked for (12.18) at 12:00pm. I was confirmed by a young lady in which I don't know her name till this day and I had driven 40 minutes from Alpharetta All because they had a 2 Bedroom with a garage attached. I took time out of my very busy day and move things around in my calendar just so I can make sure I could be there on time. My brother was also coming from Decatur Georgia to come look at this apartment as well. When we got there we realized there was a note on the door that said that "the office will be closed today (12.18) due to a staff and management event". Is this a Christmas Party? What made me mad about the entire situation was, I asked the property manager on the phone " What would be the earliest time that you had open to view a 2 bedroom apartment for tomorrow (12.18)" she replied "I have 12pm open tomorrow (12.18) for you". I confirmed that time with them as I looked at my schedule. She took down my information and confirmed me for tomorrow (12.18). I'm very sure there was a calendar in front of her at the time of booking that were left her know that they will be out of the office the entire day of (12.18). They never called me back to say Hey we will not be in tomorrow can we schedule for another day or anything. I cant trust an apartment complex that doesn't know how to communicate with people even when it comes down to the littlest thing. What happens if i have a major maintenance issue in my apartment that need to be fixed within 24hrs and the property management staff forgets to put the work order in or forgets to tell the maintenance crew? I was wondering why they had so many open apartment available. As of now i can definitely see. I WILL NOT BE RECOMMENDING THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!
BEWARE they have a serious bug problem. While the apartments are a nice size...but the bugs!
I recently moved to Atlanta cold from another city and had only 1 week to get into town and find a rental. I looked at numerous apartment complexes and Village on the Green stood out for location, quality of amenities, safety and good price. Having been here nearly 1 month, I'm very happy with my decision. Everyone in the leasing office is quick to address concerns and very helpful; my experience has been excellent.
I LOVE THE LAYOUT, THE AMENITIES, AND THE AMBIANCE NO MATTER WHAT THE SEASON. A PLEASURE TO COME HOME TO.
Let me start off by saying I love my apartment. The good: Tons of windows, great layout-lots of space for a 1 bedroom, and all for a reasonable price. I'm close to the highway (which is the main reason I moved here) and close to the airport. If you're only wanting to know about the apartment, stop reading now. I'm moving on to the bad. In the past 4 years I've moved to 5 different apartments. I would've moved after the 1st month of living here if I could find a way out of my lease. The leasing staff is awful and unorganized, I live on the 3rd floor and have seen more roaches here than any other home I've ever been in. I specifically requested a 3rd floor apt to avoid bugs and breakins. Luckily, I have no breakins to report. My A/C has quit on me twice - in the summer - the 2nd time took a whole week to get fixed. Roof had three separate leaks in the kitchen which were "repaired" by painting the ceiling. I called incessantly until it was totally resolved, took months. For me, the layout, the windows, the space - just not worth the headache. Good Luck.
