Tucked in the northwest corner of Cook County, suburbs such as Hoffman Estates, Palatine, South Barrington and Schaumburg vary widely in personality and composition. Schaumburg, the largest in population, is home to Ikea and Woodfield Mall, the largest mall in the Chicago area. Palatine, developed on a wooded marshland, comes in at a close second in size. Hoffman Estates, while smaller, is the most densely populated of the four suburbs and is home to AT&T's Midwest headquarters and Sears Holding Corporation. South Barrington, tiny in comparison, and arguably the most affluent in the area, is home to the famous mega church, Willow Creek Community Church.
Heavy traffic can double or triple commute times, so area locals know to check the highway reports before leaving home. Normal drive time into the city from this area is about 30 minutes via the Interstate 90 tollway. An easy 20 minute drive will take residents to O'Hare International Airport.

Property Ratings at Village Park Apartments, LLC
The management is poor with wrong pricing and the place is not well kept. I had a bed bug issue and not good experience living there. I won't recommend it to anyone.
I have been living here for 20 months and so far I have not had problems with the staff or with neighbors. It is a very nice community, it is located near many shops and restaurants as well as the Woodfield mall and the hospital. Excellent nearby schools with high score. The maintenance of the areas is done daily. I highly recommend it.
Overall this place is a great place to live. Great area in Hoffman, nice neighbors. I’ve lived here since earlier in 2019, and there were only a few bumps along the way, but the new management tried everything they could to fix what went wrong.
I've had nothing but issues since moving in. Pests, leaking toilets, a broken fridge, missing paneling under my sink, and pipes that are cracking and chips of which show up in my bath water. I can never reach anyone on weekends to fix things, so I've employed family to help me out. It's not what I wanted, but I wasn't offered a 6 month lease as shown but given a 12 month lease. These guys will also call you during the day asking for money as opposed to putting something detailed in your mailbox.
This is a great place to live. I moved in my unit in August 2016 and have had no issues. When I have had service requests, they were dealt with timely. The units and property are kept very clean and landscaping is always taken care of. Office staff is always nice and friendly. The units could use some updating in the kitchen, but for my purposes they work perfectly.

I only looked at one unit because I was pretty set on what I wanted, and luckily they had one available that fits what I need. "A" and "A2" style apartments are more of a condo, "A1" style apartments are more traditional. The manager was very friendly, and very patient with the person infront of me who was very indecisive about what she was looking for, which made me have a lot of respect for her! The apartments are very close to everything needed like shopping, grocery stores, ect. A little outdated, but perfect for someone just moving to the area like me. Excited to move forward with the process!
