Situated about five miles northeast of Poughkeepsie, Pleasant Valley is notable for its distinct small-town atmosphere, historic charm, and lush natural beauty. Pleasant Valley is home to a tight-knit community drawn together for a variety of recreational programs, clubs, and special events such as the Annual Egg Hunt, Festival of Lights, and Pleasant Valley Weekend.
Established in 1821, Pleasant Valley touts a rich past and plenty of historical landmarks open for exploration. Pleasant Valley’s walkable Main Street boasts a bevy of shops, restaurants, and convenience stores in charming buildings as well.
Abundant green space, town parks, and Wappinger Creek provide plenty of recreational opportunities in Pleasant Valley. James Baird State Park, Walkway Over the Hudson, and the Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site are also just a short drive away from Pleasant Valley.

Property Ratings at Village Park Apartments
Rents are way too high. They think they can compete with new apartments, and their units are old. Even if they "update" them, this is an old complex and they are barely caught up or even comparable to newer units. They demand way too much income to "qualify" and the town looks dumpy. Roads are extremely bumpy and village takes forever to get through due to congestion and traffic. The rental agent at this complex is a rude foreigner and Dawn Homes has unprofessional, grouchy women answering calls. "Pet rent" is also a joke. No one else around charges "pet rent". The quarry is up the street and you can hear the booms and the ground shakes. Just another overpriced complex in Pleasant Valley, a town which has become an utter embarrassment.
