Historically one of the economic and cultural powerhouses of the Midwest, Detroit is full of people who are working towards redevelopment and revitalization. Known as the origin of the automobile industry, the Motor City is moving towards a future of economic opportunity with roots far beyond the world of cars. The cost of living is low while rental rates for apartments, condos, and houses are highly attractive for any budget.
Monuments paying tribute to Detroit’s rich history are everywhere while astonishing architecture and public artwork is scattered throughout the city. As the birthplace of Motown, Detroit has a long tradition of producing legendary musicians like Diana Ross and Stevie Wonder. This tradition continues today and it’s easy to find live performances from every genre.
The city is a great destination for sports lovers as one of the few American cities with major leagues in football, baseball, basketball, and hockey.

Property Ratings at Village Square Apartments
This place is a disaster do not move here it’s mice running around your apartment they don’t fix anything the windows are olds wind is coming though the windows and once again mices running around the apartment they were supposed to call the exterminator and they didnt in the heat don’t work when they do work they don’t wanna turn it on it be freezing in the apartment and I have small kids they catch colds I haven’t had heat for two months
Hallways are nasty and smelly my fridge needed fixing my toilet tub and sink would always backup called and reported multiple times never fixed and property manager and are always changing rates and charges are always going up neighbors are rowdy always loud arguing
I only moved here because the place I was supposed to messed up. Let's start with the apartment hallways are disgusting and smells like pee and alcohol, they always want to raise the price on something but take forever to fix what is broken. My oven been broken since August (the same month I moved in) and they dont even have the decency to tell me when they are going to fix it. They put a new one in and it didnt even work. Soon as my year is up I am running out of this place! SOMETHING IS ALWAYS BROKEN!
The apartments in the front look good, but the ones you'll actually move into are not. The common areas have peeling paint, smells like urine. They took up the carpet but never replaced it so the hallways look AWFUL. There are no doorknobs so you have to stick your finger in the rusted holes to open the door. I wish I could send pictures. My 10 year old nephew calls it a haunted-house hallway. AND THE POWER ALWAYS GOES OUT. If you can afford to live elsewhere, please do. Don't say I didnt warn you.
Well this is my first apartment that I share with my daughter I'm excited and blessed but the only thing I don't like about it the bathroom has this old fashion look and the kitchen counters are pealing when wipe but other than that I'm blessed!!!??
