The city of Midland forms the western cornerstone of central Michigan’s Tri-Cities region, a rough triangle that connects the community to Bay City and Saginaw. Consistently appearing highly on lists of best American cities for families, Midland adopts a mostly suburban atmosphere filled with quiet neighborhoods and boasting exceptional public schools.
The community is rich with public parks and golf courses, providing numerous opportunities to get outdoors. The charming Downtown district along Main Street features a popular collective of specialty shops, eclectic restaurants and bars, historic architecture, and a farmers’ market overlooking the Tittabawassee River. Drop into Café Zinc for your morning caffeine fix or swing by WhichCraft Taproom for a bite and a pint in the evening. One of the city’s most unique landmarks is the Tridge, a three-directional bridge that spans the river to connect Downtown to Towsley Dike Park and Chippewassee Park.

Property Ratings at Village Townhomes
The apartments are clean and the neighborhood is very quiet. The other residents are very considerate. Genivieve and the office and maintenance staff are very helpful. I once turned in a minor maintenance request and they had it fixed in two hours. I really love living here. I also love having the basement.
I will start out with the bad and finish with good. The down side of this place is the fact that things need some serious renovation. Cabnits are extremely old. And given the fact that everything is painted over (and i mean everything; all walls, basement floor)everytime an old tenant leaves, things are looking sloppy. For instance, the clean up company that comes in and does the cleaning after an old tenant leaves, is horrible. And because they do such a bad job of the clean up, the painting company comes in and paints over everything, which has resulted in a mess of things like tape or even dog hair, human hair, dirt, and even bugs, painted permanently into the walls. Also, the walls seem to be very thin, even in the basement which make it hard to even watch movies because you dont want to be very loud. Lastly, and this could be the ultimate downfall in my eyes, is the fact that the air conditioning is horrible in the upstairs. Unfortunately when i called to have this checked out, i was simply told that it is because "the insulation in these places arent very good". It was something we were sad to find out only after we had already moved in. Nonetheless, even though the bad stuff seems prettt bad, i can tell you from expirence that most of these things can be delt with once you know the good side of this place. For starters, the staff at this place are wonderful, and i truly mean that; two of the kindest ladies you will ever meet. They always have things for the kids to do in the main office and candy, and they also keep dog treats for the dogs. And if you have a maintenance issue, those girls get the maintenance guys on it right away. Secondly, and i think lastly, is the space!! It is a townhome, so you have plenty of space. There is a full basement with a storage closet and washer/dryer hook up..awesome!! And on the main level you have a living room, dinning room, kitchen, and storage closet. And on the top floor you have two bedrooms, a big hallway, a storage closet and a bathroom! Just being able to have seperate spaces and levels of your apartment, completely set this place away from your average "square box" type apartment. I guess i would have to say i am indifferent about the price, but only because on one hand there is a good amount of space compared to a regualr apartment (which gives it a more home like feel), and the other hand, everything in the home could use some serious updating...so, all and all the price is good and bad at the same time
This is a nice 2 bedroom townhome. There is an upstairs with two decent sized bedrooms and small bathroom. The closet space in the bedrooms are a little small, but we were able to fit a big dresser in the bedroom, which helped with the lack of closet space. The main level consists of a good size living room, we were able to fit a sectional couch; a small dining space; and a small kitchen. It definitely is a small kitchen and not made for serious cooks. There is very limited counter space. There is also an unfinished basement, which we used for a workout space/storage. The management is very helpful and very nice to work with. Maintenance is quick, but not always helpful. The location of the apartments is really close to Dow Chemical (< 1 mile) and within walking distance to a really nice park (Stratford Woods). Overall, it was a good first townhome for my wife and me.
