The Southeast neighborhood of Lansing sits west of I-496 and east of South Waverly Road, split by I-96. This area of town consists mainly of commercial buildings and industrial parks that provide residents with ample employment opportunities. Residents enjoy affordable housing and close proximity to large parks and shopping centers on South Cedar Street.
The neighborhood also rests just to the west of Michigan State University, making it perfect for students as well as families. This large, state university provides residents with opportunities to attend concerts, plays, lecture series, and college sports. Southeast Lansing has become a Michigan fixture in its own right, but the small-town charm of Lansing is always just minutes away.

Property Ratings at Village Townhouses Cooperative
My family and I have been living here for almost twenty years and through out that time there really has not been any issues with the Co-op its self. They are pretty strict when it comes to following the rules but that is one thing that makes it so great. I might get upset when i get a fine for breaking such rules, but it is just a reminder that the system works because i try my hardest not to break it again. There are always pros and cons of living in townhouses and apartments. One being able to hear your neighbor in certain situations but that is only when your house is in complete silence for the most part if your t.v is on you cant hear 95% of the noise. Another con would be a small group of workers having keys to every townhouse. So it is definitely a good reason to get to know them. With that said we have never had any unannounced workers just come into our townhouse. If there is an inspection you are always giving a notice in advance. My last con would be during the winter time, having to move your car at a certain time so they can plow. Which follows under both pro and con in this instance it will be a con. Although they do give you a decent time frame to move your car. The pros of village townhouse Cooperative, very nice staff, a great community overall. They give you a rule book when you first move in that i highly suggest you go over. Small things that might not be considered as being a rule in your head, will be in the book. Rent is very cheap because you buy into the co-op, which brings you to the best amenities. Not having to upkeep a lawn , the only outside landscaping that is required is planting flowers in your flower bed. You are provided the flowers and you have an option of different ones you can choose from. Anything that is original to the townhouse is fixed and up kept by the staff. All but one of the utilities are included , electricity is the one that is not. I could keep going about the pros and cons but i wanted to highlight the major ones. My final thought would be townhouses have the best parts of living in a house and the best parts of living in an apartment. I would definitely recommend to all.
