Although surrounded by inhospitable desert, Phoenix is one of the largest cities in the United States, and the nation’s single largest state capital city. The area contains numerous galleries and museums, putting the people in contact with everything from the European masters to Native American craftsmanship to modern originals from Phoenix’s diverse artistic community. The Downtown cultural scene has developed into a top-notch feast of visual and performing arts, with symphony performances, live theater, and the popular First Friday exhibitions. Phoenix is also an excellent city for sports fans, being one of the few cities in America with local franchises in the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL. Several thousand students attend the two Arizona State University campuses in the city, as well as the over-50,000 who attend the main campus in neighboring Tempe.

Property Ratings at Villages at Metro Center
I was a resident at this place for almost 2 years. In general it was a good place, but unfortunately the way I was “helped” to leave the complex was the worst. I was a resident that never missed a rent monthly payment, as well as I think I never caused any problems to others. In my situation I had to leave 2 months before the lease term ended, I moved out on a Saturday and went to the office find a way to sign a written notice, there was no manager at the time so I guess it was okay to return the keys and call back next week so they help me on a payment. I did that and when I called they told me they will call me back. They never called me back even thought there was 3 days before the month ended. No communication and I even called on the last day of the month. Couple days pass and I get an email of an outstanding balance amount that I owe that is doubled of what my rent was. So I had to call Bridge Central Billing to find a way so I can get some help from this Unfair Bill. The reason why Unfair because I never missed a monthly rent payment and I also had to deal with the Cockroaches and I mean a lot of them, I know there record shows the many times I told them to spray bomb that Unit. Bridge Central somewhat helped me I guess on what they could, but the Villages Office could of well helped me much more if they felt like it and they know it. Living there was never a bad place but on how the decided to bill me now I never would want never would like to live there again. Also there was a dining room fan that I told them along time ago it was not working properly and the maintenance guy said it was ordered but they never came to replace it. Yea im not going to miss that place. I would of been fine paying what I owed of the leasing term but they doubled it because they did not care of my situation so they felt like it was okay to mess it up for me, there was still a couple days for the deadline to figure something out from the start but it was just bad service from the office. So now that I have to deal with what I am billed, I am very glad I left Villages at Metro.Ya
Moved in 4 months ago. Roach invested and out dated! Pictures on the website must be from a different apartment building.Rent is not the amount shown on your lease it's always much higher due to junk fees. Takes Maintenance forever to service what's broken. They constantly walk around to see what else they can charge you for, wait till 6pm,stick a note on your door and run like cowards so you have to wait till the next day to address If you move here it's because you have ABSOLUTELY no where else to go!!!!! Pictures where taken day of move in. Could not see the apartment until the day before we picked up the keys and had already signed the lease via their website. Needless to say we were stuck!

Thank you for your feedback. We're upset to hear that you're having issues with pests. Would you have some time to discuss this directly? We'd like to come up with a solution that will revert your experience back to the comfortable living quality you deserve. Please contact our office at Emiley.Jones@bridgepm.com at your convenience.
We have lived here a year and we have had very few problems. The ones we did have were fixed quickly. When we had a problem with our dishwasher and our oven, they replaced them with brand new appliances. It is an extremely quiet complex and they are insulated really well. If someone has music playing that you can hear outside, as soon as you close your door, the sound is gone. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We are getting ready to renew our lease for another year.

Thank you for brightening our day with your five-star review of Villages at Metro Center! If there is anything that we can do for you, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
Lives here just moved out and this is the WORST PLACE EVER!! Sewer roaches everywhere! They were coming out from behind my shower handle and out of my air vent. I hated living here. DO NOT MOVE HERE!

We're truly sorry you feel that way, though we'd be lying if we said we recognized the community described in your review. In fact, we're proud of the five-star service we provide to each and every resident, and we remain committed to improving their experiences wherever possible. In any case, we wish you nothing but the best moving forward.
No security! Gates don’t work, so anyone can enter the complex any time they want. The office building was set fire to, we’ve had nearby gunshots, dumpster divers, domestic violence, drug dealers, and cars broken into. Security officers are through a hired company and almost never onsite. It’s a cheap place, but there is no security here.

As you're aware, these are incredibly sensitive allegations, and we urge you to contact our leasing office directly at your earliest convenience. Our members' comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities, and we'd love nothing more than to clear up any misunderstandings you may have regarding our staff and/or community. Thank you.
This place is an absolute dump! It was ridiculously filthy upon move in (they didn't clean it after the last tenant moved out) and you could smell the musty water damage. My kids lived here for less than 3 months and had to move because their apartment had mold. There were constant water leaks and when they opened the ceiling to attempt to repair one, there was black mold inside. They never pulled it out or treated it, just patched the drywall and went on their way. Both of them were very sick with sore throats, headaches, etc for the last 4-6 weeks and ended up staying with me for a week before their new apartment was ready to move into. The apartment also had a ridiculous amount of bugs and cockroaches. Their water bill was outrageous because of all the unresolved water leaks. The common areas outside of the immediate leasing office area is awful. No grass, lots of trash, water leaks along sidewalks with bee hives, the pool was disgusting.....DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS COMPLEX!
The complex has water problems all the time and constantly turns it off at least 1-2 times a month, had no heated water this past December because of boiler shut off. The parking area floods everywhere, if you don’t pick up after your dog there is a $100 fine for not picking up, and maintenance work orders take a long time to be resolved. No utilities are included into the rent.

Charles, although we appreciate any and all feedback, we're disappointed to see your overall experience has resulted in this rating. We understand your frustration regarding utility disruptions, and we sincerely apologize for these inconveniences. Some complex repairs require such disruptions, and we greatly appreciate our residents' patience and understanding during those times. All of our rates and potential fees have been outlined within our lease agreement, and we only wish to provide all of our residents with a beautiful and sanitary place to live. We do hope you allow us the opportunity to make your time with us all the more positive, and pay us a visit here at the office so we may further discuss your concerns and resolve any issues you may have. Thank you.
This place is horrible and whoever's looking to move here DONT! I repeat DONT MOVE HERE! the main complaint I have is the water I live in a 900sqft 2 bedroom one bath apartment 5 occupants with 3 of them being small children and last month I paid 194 bucks for my water bill witch is ridiculous, the water is constantly shut off without notice for leaks that they have been fixing since I moved in and this is my second year! The water is always off but my bill is going up and when you ask them why that is they give you the run around that's the biggest complaint among many others DO NOT MOVE HERE! I have talked to people that live here and nobody pays under 100 bucks for water they are screwing people over in here once again DO NOT MOVE HERE!!
Property Manager at Villages at Metro Center, Responded To This Review
We're deeply discouraged by this characterization of our community and regret that you've had a negative experience here. You'll find it is not uncommon in the multifamily housing industry for some additional charges - such as utilities - to slightly increase the overall monthly cost of renting a home. These charges, along with how they are calculated, are clearly outlined within the lease agreement. We encourage you to call the office if you have any questions about utility billing or any other lease terms. We would be more than happy to clarify things for you. Please know, water is only shut off when necessary repairs or maintenance is being performed. We do our best to provide notice of scheduled maintenance to our residents so that they may plan accordingly. However, occasionally unforeseen circumstances may arise that require immediate attention. These emergency maintenance situations leave us unable to provide notice and we apologize for the inconvenience. You are always welcome to call the office if you have any questions about maintenance timelines. Thank you for your feedback.
I am happy with most of the operation of the complex however I am not happy with the maintence here. I have a problem with bathroom sink for 2 months. The running of kids late night through out complex. the office staff is friendly and polite.
I've been here going on 3 yrs. i haven't had any trouble yet. i've enjoyed being part of this community. thank you for your services.
love my lil apartment!! newly remodeled(brand new washer/dryer)... staff friendly & helpful!!
Tried calling all day and no answer(around 8 to 10 times). To be truthful, they did answer twice, which followed with an immediate hang-up (i knew the differences because automated services don't pickup and hang up in one fluid motion). I tried leaving messages and tried communication through email and got the same results, no answer.
Property Manager at Villages at Metro Center, Responded To This Review
Oh no, Ray! We are very sorry to have dropped the ball when it comes to getting back to you. Depending on our schedule for the day, we can occasionally miss communications but we are dedicated to speaking with you. In the event that you can't reach us by phone, you can always stop by our office! We look forward to chatting with you!
Don't move there. The place is infested with roaches , the apartment is falling apart on the inside and the office staff is rude and gives you attitude when you ask them to do repairs. That is if you can ever even get them on the phone. And if you don't believe me then try calling them, all you ever get is a voicemail and they take forever to respond to that. And to make it worse when I finally moved out and tried to get my deposits back I was told that there was a $200 non refundable cleaning fee even though the apartment was cleaned thoroughly before I moved out and after that was deducted I was told that I have to wait 30-90 days to receive the rest of my deposite. It was all around a terrible renting experience living there.
Property Manager at Villages at Metro Center, Responded To This Review
It's tough for us to read this review, as we aim to provide nothing but a warm and welcoming living experience. Our maintenance team works diligently to address all of our resident's work orders, though we do apologize if our efforts took longer than you felt was necessary. Regarding your deposit, while we understand your frustration, that cleaning fee is outlined in the lease agreement and is charged to each and every home after a resident moves out, no matter the specific condition of the apartment. We'd be happy to explain our reasoning behind these charges to you in further detail, please reach out to our office. Thank you.
PLEASE HEED MY WARNING. RUN FAR, FAR AWAY. This place is a DUMP and a breeding grounds for bed bugs! I have no personal interest vested in posting another review other than to potentially steer honest people away from this place. I have lived here not even 2 months and my brand new bed and brand new headboard are covered in bed bugs. I have had a terrible feeling since Day 1 of moving in here. I moved in May 19th from the state of Virginia. Starting wakong up THE NEXT DAY with what I -thought- were mosquito bites. It continued. I had the apartment sprayed for pests. Started waking up in the middle of the night with stinging bites on my hands, arms, FACE, NECK, feet, legs. You name it. Peeled back my down mattress topper and sure enough, bugs. Literally every.single.piece of furniture I moved in with was NEW in boxes but the office staff want to tell me I must have carried them in from somewhere. BRITTANY the 4 year tenured leasing expert (insert eye roll) told me that it is not possible for bed bugs to enter through outlets or wall openings but 3 highly reputable, licensed, local bed bug experts disagree. I have seen my neighbors with rashes and bites all over their arms but didn't question it as they are sketchy anyhow. Brittany insists that there has never been a bed bug issue in my unit (Which is IMMACULATELY CLEAN with all new furniture) but says she does not have record of the pre-move inspection because they "switched pest control companies". So now I have to spend upwards of $400 to get rid of bugs that I have never seen a day in my life until I moved here. Bugs aside, the place is a dump. The landscaping is garbage. Kids run around unsupervised all hours of the night completely TRASHING the complex. I have found baggies and straws with residue on them in the parking lot. Mattresses are in the dumpster DAILY. I moved in to an apartment with peeling counters, water damaged and buckling baseboards, a moldy shower, a broken sliding glass door, broken drawers, you name it. They have yet to fix a THING. GARBAGE place, PLEASE FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR FAMILY. I am a hardworking, married mother of 3. I came from Virginia and they knew that and took advantage of it by providing me with a BUSTED apartment after a 4 day drive. I will now have to either take the risk of dealing with another bed bug infestation because they won't admit they can travel from other apartments, or buy out my lease and move.

We're sorry to hear that this persistent pest-problem has negatively impacted your opinion of our community. We understand how frustrating this issue must be and want you to know that we are doing everything we can to make your apartment comfortable. If you would like to chat about this pest concern, outstanding maintenance-related issues, or anything else, please stop by our office. Thank you.
When I was moving into the apt complex Shari made it a very smooth transition she was very informative and has very good communication skills and has a great personality.I told her there were things that had to get done at my apt and she took care of that in a timely manner.I reported the things that had to be done at my apt on Friday.Saturday the maintenance man was fixing the things that had to get fixed.I went over to the office to explain to her that I didn't have an acess card or a key code to open the gates at night. She immediately made sure she gave me a gate clicker to accommodate me.
Property Manager at Villages at Metro Center, Responded To This Review
We're beyond thrilled to know your experience at Villages at Metro Center has been so amazing! Our team members are determined to go above and beyond for each resident, so we appreciate the kind words about Shari. We know moving into a new place can be stressful, so we try are best to make it was easy as possible. If there's anything we can do for you in the future, please don't hesitate to stop by our office. Thank you!
My mother lived in these apartments and it was a horrible experience for her. They have been through three management companies during the past two years. They are slow at maintenance and it seems like they care more about the outside landscape appearance than the inside. They told my mother to be careful not to put holes in the walls because they have asbestos in them. They have all the units on one water bill which is unfair if you hardly use water. The office hardly responds to questions or requests and they do not answer their phones. They claim to have good security, but the gates are open almost all day. They make you pay for a gate clicker. Their washers and dryers all use cards to operate. Several times my mother had to go without doing laundry because the machines were not working right. The office had her write to a company out of state just to get her refund when the laundry card failed to work. This place is not worth the cost of living there. They just do not seem to care about their residents.
This place is completely horrible. I sighned my third lease last augest every since they got the new management it's been a nightmare!!! I live in a 2 bedroom 1 bath no washer and dryer and I pay $130 a month for water and trash when I asked why it's gone up since they took over and asked to see who they calculated the usage they told me they had nothing to do with it and to call a third party place they go through that's responsible for the billing so I did and they have me the run around as well needless to say I still haven't gotten any answers. There's always something wrong with the water either it's shut off or no hot water. They don't give notices you have to find out for yourself last night after I took my kids trick or treating I put my 7yr old son in the shower to find out there was no hot water. They had someone ealier that day looking at it so I'm sure they were aware but decided not to notify the tendence.it's ridiculous I had to be at work early the next day and my kids had school and we had to go without showering and hear it is the next day and it's still not working I tried calling the office several times and no answer. The office staff are rude and the mantance drive around on the goulf cart all day the parking lot is dirty all the time trash every where. I won't be signing another lease!!!!!
I never rate anyone poorly unless absolutely needed. This is very much needed. I moved out at the end of my leasing agreement (two weeks before the new management (AMC) purchased these units). The staff initially came off as friendly and nice, but upon moving out they charged me for everything under the sun and plus the cost to replace the carpets which were already at least 6 years old upon my move-in. Also because they are trying to renovate the units they think its okay to try to charge tenants unfit charges. Long story short, be careful.

I am so sorry that you've had this experience. It was never our intention to make your stay with us uncomfortable. From the first time you visit, we offer all information in writing to be as transparent as possible. Please stop by and see us to find out how we can make this right.
Ive got to say ever since the old management and the old owners left, this apartment complex has turned around and is coming back to life. Looking clean and the grounds are being kept up. The new management has gotten rid of the delinquent residents and they are concerned about our well being.
