Property Ratings at Villages at Parktown Apartment Homes
I had a great experience. Last month, my wife and I were in a crunch, and tried to make a decision quickly on our next move. Bethany, our leasing consultant was phenomenal in making the process seamless. She was so personable and friendly, and we were very pleased just during the tour process. She is also very responsive and keeps her word on getting back to me quickly. I have also sent her several emails with questions & she answered each one at a quick turnaround time! TaiRay has also been helpful when Bethany has been out. We have had some personal hiccups, that delayed our move. However, the staff has been so understanding and such a pleasure to work with! The property has had so much improvement over the years, and the floor plans are very nice. It really feels like a home, the spacious back patios are nice. The kitchens are bigger that we have ever seen in an apartment/townhome complex. The reviews on here don't do justice. Go out and view the property!
This is a wonderful property in a great location. It's nice that you can leave your garbage outside all weekend. The garbage gets steaming hot in the texas sun. Then the pests show up. Do you like rats and roaches? If you do, this is the place for you. Do you like being able to hear your neighbors whisper? You are in luck, the walls are thin as they can be. I love paying new fully loaded apartment prices for "townhomes" built in the 60's with 1980's appliances. The pool is nice but overrun by people that don't live in the complex. Remember, hot garbage, rats and roaches, paper thin walls built 50 years ago for more much money then to rent a house. Why not?
I have been searching for a new Texas home and have finally found it! I stopped in with a friend and was very impressed with the woman who helped us. She was very informative and pleasant, as well thorough with the leasing process and how it works. The community looks wonderful clean, updated with very nice apartments and love that they are one story! I cannot wait to move to Texas!!
Add $5.00/month for pest control, $20/month for valet trash pickup with no heavy trash pickup and no recycling. These are monthly recurring expenses added to the rent, and they are mandatory. The gym, their newest amenity is not even open to the residents yet, even though they had a ribbon cutting ceremony. It only looks nice on the outside. Office staff is rude and maintenance is slow.
Mainenance is not the best they take some time to come when you need something fixed. Actually still waiting on repairs I requested over a month ago Very quite apartments though. The pool is not kept up as it should be sometimes it is clean and sometimes it is really green.
Overall I'm happy with my complex except maintenance issues do not get resolved in a timely manner. They have new ownership and they have taken the time and money to remodel and revamp the complex's appearance and quality!
These units are older and outdated. Plumbing could do with an overhaul. There are two phases to the property and we share one swimming pool. Unfortunately, there is nothing being done about the rest of Deer Park using the pool. The office staff is wonderful and they try to resolve your issues. Maintenance is good. They are friendly and they know the property very well. Door to door trash pick up is something new. Of course you pay extra for this service whether you use it or not. They updated the grounds and units are being upgraded if left vacant long enough. That does not happen often. They are the only complex with 4 bedrooms in Deer Park so here I am. All in all, the units themselves are not worth the price. What you do get for that price is peace of mind. The area is safe and the school district is outstanding. Local shopping, although limited, is adequate but go just a bit further and Pasadena has an amazing shopping area.
I lived in a disgusting apartment complex before moving here and the grounds are always clean plus they just got new landscaping done that really makes the place look and feel more expensive than it is! Great place to live noise level is not bad and you have so many food options right down the street!
