Property Ratings at Villages of Wildwood
where do i start. roads are full of potholes, hallways are dirty, units are overpriced and falling apart, management is rude, slow to respond and unhelpful, neighbors blast music 24/7 and so on. maintenance is slow and didn't properly fix our ac despite multiple visits which led to giant energy costs for us. washer dryer units didn't work reliably for the TWO YEARS we were here. when we finally moved out they hit us with unreasonable and massive bills for "excessive cleaning" and dry wall repair when just one look at the walls will tell you they've never once fixed the walls and just paint over them. they rip you off every chance they get and expect immediate responses when they drag their feet with everything. it took a week and multiple phone calls, emails, and in person visit to just get a document for adding to another person to the lease. on top of all of that there was severe water damage that led to fungal growth in our bedroom! mushrooms were growing and they seemed utterly uninterested. i see other reviews that mentioned finding mold so don't just take my word for it. move back in with your parents, crash on your friends couch, sleep in your car do anything but move here

I've been looking for a new place to move with my puppy so he could have a yard and other nice amenities. Ever since I walked into the office, Zoe has done everything in her power to convince me that Wildwood is for me and I agree! I'm so excited to move in, my new place is spacious and beautiful and if it wasn't for Zoe having such an amazing personality and great communication skills I would still be looking for my next apartment. If you are interested in moving please look at Wildwood and go in the office and talk to Zoe. She really makes this place 5 stars.

Hi , thanks so much for the high star rating! We appreciate that you've chosen to call Villages of Wildwood home!
Whenever I submit a maintenance request for my apartment, it has been taken care of promptly. However, the communal washing machines have not worked in a year and the streetlights have been flashing for 7 months. The area is lovely and safe and it's relatively quiet. Overall, a positive experience, but the washing machines and street lights have been rather annoying and I'm having to accept that it will never be fixed.

I lived in this place for 16 months, before moving I read several bad reviews and only now did I understand them; Basically the place is good to live if and only if you do not need to go to the administration to ask for help with something, there you see the bad service and mediocrity. 1ro the air was broken and they made three visits to the office a week later They arranged it for me; 2nd Infestation of bedbugs "" disgusting they only went to fumigate once, I particularly never in my life had seen those bugs the following month until I managed to move I fumigated daily I lived a hell because the origin of the plague was not my house so they came and they came, in addition to the toxicity of the poison that was everywhere ... it was traumatic (not to mention that I had to throw away all my furniture, with the expense that that implies) 3rd the deposit as I delivered the apartment in perfect condition after moving Even today 8/11/21 they do not give it to me and I moved from 8/24/21. This is my experience, the place to live, but in any situation do not expect anything from the administration

My boyfriend are currently living here with our children. We have been here since March and have had nothing but problems. Noisy, messy, discourteous neighbors; Broken AC that takes multiple complaints and weeks to get fixed in 90 degree weather; malfunctioning payment portal that shows that we paid on time yet charges us a late fee. If you put in a work order or send an email, you have to jump through hoops to “prove” there is really a problem. We have had to spend money on fans and an extremely high electric bills due to the broke. AC constantly running but never outputting cold air. When bringing this to their attention we were asked to provide months worth of bills but never heard anything back. If you move in here, be prepared to have your neighbors throw trash off of their balcony in front of your living room windows. That is apparently acceptable behavior here. However, being quiet, neat and clean with be an extra fee to your expense.

I would not recommend. Not worth the price. The apartment I live in itself is fine but the costumer service is awful. Very disappointed in the staff at the office and the maintenance team. First I was without water for 8 days and the office only offer to provide a water bottle to me. Imagine no water at all in your unit and you have to complain everyday for them to even bother fixing. A maintenance request takes more than 4 months to get completed and the office staff is never able to help. Usually saids “maintenance is a different team”. The office never answers their phones and the maintenance after hours line is not set up. I had my smart lock keys not working once and was unable to contact anyone. They staff and the maintenance team needs to spend more effort ensuring that they are professional. The leasing agents are rude with no customer service. The community manager was no help and the entire team does not value renters. Save your money. I asked the community manager to clean up the hall ways of the units to remove the dead bugs and spider webs for this “luxury” apartment, she responded with “My team is not house keeping and that’s not part of their job”. The units are dirty.

I would rather to give them 0 star if i could! The hot water was shut off 13 days from Sep 6th to Sep 19th. When we came to office to ask what happened with our hot water, there is no help but laughing!!! What a nice services!!! The whole room is not clean when we move in. (scheduled it before we moved in) The toilet water STILL keeping running during midnight. (scheduled maintenance at ending of July) Mold(or dirty black spot) inside of kitchen cabinet, but they fixed this one in two weeks we moved in. The bedroom's window still crack. (we moved in at ending of JULY) The firework place was super dirty which took me 30 mins to clean it. (scheduled it before we moved in) The A/C is not work from last Saturday night, we were told that they don't have any available small window A/C. At Sunday, they gave us a small window A/C to use. Monday, they called us said they need replace whole A/C and it should be done by this FRIDAY. But i am afraid that they will tell me " We can't fix it, you need wait until next Friday". The things made me angry about them is no one take care your issues and their attitude towards you!!!!! When i called their main office, always going toward voice box. The customer care center told me that "they might on reasonable travels"!!! For all above complaints, I have photos & emails. DO NOT MOVE IN THIS APARTMENT!!!

I gave this property a 1-star review in the past and they bribed me with $500 off of rent to take it down, but since then not a single thing has changed! The property is older, and any repairs made are band-aids placed on bigger issues. Maintenance is an absolute joke. We have previously waited 3 MONTHS to have a broken smoke detector fixed, and this was after the fire. Now, our hot water has been broken for five days. They were going to order a part and fix it "first thing Monday morning." ...Now it's Thursday afternoon with no changes and no updates from the office. I honestly would not recommend this place to anyone. Update: after my husband spoke to management, they told us that there is an issue with water pipes and they are working every day to dig up the pipes and fix the issues. This means that management and maintenance FLAT OUT LIED to us about: 1. Needing to order a part for the water heater 2. Planning a solution for Monday morning, and 3. "Working every day for a solution." No one is working outside. No one has started digging up pipes. Absolutely unbelievable. This property management is an absolute, twisted joke.

Currently a resident and extremely upset with this place. I reported that my AC was out on Friday. Nobody had be to the apartment by Wednesday so went to the office. the were surprised that no one had been there yet and told me that someone would be out first thing in the morning to fix it. The next day. I come home and it appears that nobody has been here and the AC is still out, so I go to the office again. This time they say that they are gonna replace my whole AC system and give me a window unit in the mean time. I didn't realize that meant putting the rest of my property at risk. the put the 1 foot tall window unit in the 5 foot tall open window and used card board to cover the rest of the opening. I told them that this is ridiculous. They basically said that it is either this or nothing.

We have been living at Villages of Wildwood for about 6 weeks and are very impressed! The office has been very responsive about all of our issues and questions and maintenance has been very quick. Chianne is great - always responds to my emails within an hour! The apartment was clean (the kitchen appliances were spotless!) when we moved in and any issues we had were fixed after our walk-through with staff. We live in a townhouse-style apartment so we love the amount of space, our large patio, and not having any upstairs neighbors! I wish there was more follow up with maintenance. For example, we have a broken outlet. Maintenance came quickly to check it, and I happened to be home to discuss the problem with them. I haven't received any additional information (email, phone call, etc.) regarding the issue so I check the outlet every few days to see if it's working, since I have no other way of knowing. Emails or calls stating that maintenance has come or some kind of maintenance update would be nice rather than having to continuously check to see if anything has been fixed. Other than that, it's a fantastic community! It's obvious that the new owners are trying to freshen everything up and I love what they're doing so far!

Bugs. Everywhere. In the hallways, coming from the drains, in the outlets. It is disgusting and pictures are definitely misleading. It is all old carpet, old cabinets, etc. It is not worth the price. There are also so many hidden fees, we pay about $200 more a month than what we agreed on when we moved in. Maintenance is also horrible and never show up or take weeks to fix a problem. I cannot wait to move out!

I've been a resident here at villages of wildwood for nearly 2 years and I have zero complaints. No one really compliments management so this is for her. Her name is Chianne. I've not had many requests since living here but those that I brought too her were resolved and then she would follow up to assure the issue was resolved. Very professional and good at her job. I'll be a long-term resident here thanks to her and her staff. Great job ladies!!!!! Adam's circle

They charge a ton of hidden fees in your rent, over 100$ a month extra. Maintenance takes forever to come fix anything. I’ve had a whole in my wall from the electricians coming three times to bring the wiring up to code and they stated it was a fire hazard. Still not fixed. It took them a week of them telling I had no plumbing issue until my kitchen living room and bathroom is flooded with sewage water for them to come fix it. They NEVER answer emails, calls, and the office is closed several days a month for no reason at all. We will not be renting from them ever again and I recommend no one else does either.
This will be my 4th year at wildwood! The property was just recently purchased by GoldOller, their desire was to bring this property back to a high standard luxury apartment community. They are well on their way; upgrades and property cleanup going on everywhere... my apartment teceived new laminate flooring in all of the main living areas and bathrooms and new carpet in the bedrooms. The overall transformation is just stunning. Landscaping plantings and pruning as well as dead tree removal has been happening as well. The office staff, Randi, Tiffany, and Stephanie, have been very helpful throughout my apartment upgrades. I would also like to thank Paul and Larry for all of their hard work!

Went to see my apartment for the first time the outside was nice until you walk into the hallways I wish they would change the carpets that are in the hallways would make the place look way better inside the hallways
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. We were promised a new dish washer and stove a year ago, and still didn't get it after our lease was up. They do not answer calls and have not fixed a single thing wrong with our apartment after putting in over 10 work orders. We have to clean the windows and vacuum our own apartment complex, stairs and hallways because maintenance will not. My husband and I both managed to get our cars broken into and things stolen when delivered to our place. I mean if you like to be judged and people hit and run from your car, feel free to rent here! It's private property so that doesn't matter. Absolutely horrible residence and service. The pub also has horrible survice and the worst people go there. I do not recommend here at all. Too expensive for nothing.
We've been residents here for about the past 4 years. In the beginning I thought it was going to be a Great place to live. All the units are painted different colors, the lakes, the hills, the trees. It was so different from most of the other complexes. When I found the unit I wanted to rent I liked everything about it except the sliding door to the patio was double pain and it was fogged in between the glass. I told them and they said that they would fix or replace it. It's still that way today inspite of many reports. We've had new owners maybe 10 times (I lost count). Every time they change ownership they change employee's. You never get to know anyone. We've had good and bad folks working up there. For a very short period of time when we had problems they got fixed pretty quick but for the majority of the time we can't get things fixed at all. Street lights are out all the time, hall lights don't work for weeks or months (unsafe). The lights are out right now at the mail boxes so if you stop to get your mail at night it's very unsafe. Our one swimming pool did not open for several weeks at the beginning of the season for some reason. Our kitchen appliances are 25 years old! I looked them up on the internet. I wanted new ones. The oven doesn't have a window to see what you're cooking, the grills on top are not level. Very aggravating. The refused to update them. We have new management now (surprise) so I asked again. They said they did not want to loose a good renter so they would replace them. That was a month ago. I keep asking when I will be getting them and they say they are on order but having trouble getting them in. (surprise) I'm sure it's just smoke and I will never see them. Like I said we've lived here 4 years and I believe we are good renters. We never cause trouble. We've never had a return check and we've always paid on time. However somehow we made a mistake on our last rent check and it bounced. They put a notice in our door telling us so. They informed us that there would be a $100 late fee and a $60 return fee. $160 for a first time returned check (which we corrected immediately) They also attached 3 DAY NOTICE TO VACATE!!!! This always infuriates you, specially when you've done well for so many years. What also kills you is for them to want you to fix your mistakes IMMEDIATELY but they don't fix their mistakes for months if at all. This does it we're moving out as soon as I can find another place. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.
If you are considering living here... DON'T! This is hands down the worst place I have ever lived. It looked great when we first came to see the place. The apartment was cute and we had a view of one of the old greens and a huge deck but soon after moving in things started to fall apart. We moved in at the beginning of July and had no air conditioning the first week there. It was easily 95 degrees inside if not hotter. We continued to have problems with our A/C so much so that we pressed for a new unit because ours had to be recharged once or twice a week. I'm sure you can guess that they never gave us a new unit and the maintenance man told us the unit was original to the building which is forty years old! Aside from that we lost our heat and hot water during the winter and would usually go on average five days without before they would be fixed for a week or so and then we would lose them again. And to top it all off we had mold starting to grow on our carpet. I spent months trying to get them to come pull up the carpet and find out where it was coming from and no one ever came. So, I hired a company to come out and take a look. They assured me it was mold and accompanied me to the leasing office to give them a professional opinion on the type of mold and how to clean it. After that they finally sent someone to look at it and then told us it was a pet stain when we had no pets?! After that I had finally had enough and put my rent into escrow and took them to court. After taking them to court we found out that the building we were staying in had foundation issues and there were huge cracks that were allowing moisture into our apartment that caused the mold to develop. There are so many problems with this place they just can't seem to keep up and in my opinion they don't want to shell out the cash to do so. Not to mention they get a new property manager every two months and only have two maintenance men for the whole property, which is well over 500 units. We were one of five couples that were at court that day to settle our cases with them and were informed by the clerk that there were "many" others scheduled to appear against them. So, save yourself the hassle and stay far away from this place!!
The Villages of Wildwood looked to be a fantastic living environment, but within the first few months it was clear the people in charge don't care about their tenants. We had water leaks under the concrete in our apartment, and it took them 3 tries to fix it, all while tearing up our carpet and never putting new carpet in; our front hallway was awful bare concrete for the last 8 months of our year lease and our privacy fence was torn down. Light fixtures and minor leaks never got fixed, the lights in the parking lot have been out for months. Toward the end of our lease, management claimed we owed an exorbitant amount of money, and after arguing with the lady in charge of the office (who was rude and unpleasant and lacks any kind of people skills) we did their work for them and found out that they made errors in their bookkeeping, and they never once apologized for trying to rob us of thousands of dollars. Avoid dealing with this place at all costs.
We have only been here a little over 3 months after living in a house for over 50 years. Wildwood is quiet, beautiful grounds and the staff is so helpful. I would highly recommend our complex for a relaxing, quiet and socialable place to live.
Mice, partying neighbors, others' pets peeing down on us while we sit on our patio. Looking forward to our lease being over!
I live in a 1 bedroom apartment in Wildwood, and have been since November of 2014. Was promised new appliances, along with new cabinets, carpet, and fixtures just like the model apartment. It took them nearly two weeks to get my apartment ready because like I said, it was "being renovated." On move-in day, I unlock the room to my apartment to find new carpet and one new lighting fixture that's off in a corner and essentially unusable. Cabinets were just stained, and leave stain residue on fingers and skin. Appliances are ancient. There was a huge laundry list of things that needed to be fixed, and as of August 2015 none have been fixed. The apartment was a complete mess when I first moved in as well. There was grime from the *people* that had lived their prior to me, which is completely disgusting. None of the other places I have ever lived had that issue. Even the appliances were a complete disaster, from the oven like I stated to the fridge, which had some brown splooge on the bottom. Additionally, NONE are energy-star certified and use ALOT of electricity. That leads me to my next point. Move into an apartment in WW and expect to use ALOT of electricity. The apartments have very poorly insulated walls (come to find out, the structure is from the 70's), and every single one of my windows is drafty. In the winter, that means a surprising amount of cold air gets in. The lack of a dual-pane design and any lamination whatsoever also means that in the summer, massive amounts of heat gets in...and my apartment faces south. That wouldn't be that big of a problem, except the heater and air conditioner are very energy-inefficient. On a 90 degree day, my apartment can easily reach 82-84 degrees, with the air running the *entire* time. Not great for electricity bills. In my building, there is a laundry room in the basement with three washers and three dryers. They're alright but small. Unfortunately though someone in my building uses a detergent I am severely allergic to and the washers don't adequately rinse their own drums and mechanisms. The dryers don't have a hot cycle, for those who want to prevent bedbugs or other parasites that can travel in laundry. Speaking of the other tenants, most are fine people. Unfortunately though, a couple of the people here smoke pot on the regular and the apartment across the hall has been evicted/vacated and re-rented three times. Credit Check? I guess...not sure what kind of score they let rent.
I've been living at his apartment for a few months now and it's amazing. This place has two pools, roomy apartments with washer/dryer hookups. It doesn't feel like an apartment complex. It feels like a community. Awesome place to live.
