So this place is pretty bad. You think it'll be nice but constant construction, gun shot, fireworks, explosions, barking dogs, ability to hear your neighbors life, you can hear when they watch TV, talk or shut a door. The pet policy is a joke. And leaf blowers are your morning alarm clock at 5-6. Don't recommend. Just find a town house to rent

Bottom-line: nice location, but you can do so much better for the prices they are charging. Never underestimate how bad management can affect you even post-moveout; you are taking a big risk trusting your money and housing to these hacks. So if you are interested in paying top dollar for a ratty, poorly-maintained apartment in a rough part of town AND you would like to pay to upgrade your sub-par lodgings for the next resident who gets suckered in here, I would highly recommend it! For everyone else? Stay far away.

Horrible place! Do not move here. You will never get deposit back. They charged for everything : for not existing damages , carpet , microwave , drip pants. They use your deposit to buy a new appliances ! I cleaned apartment for 6 hours thinking they will give me deposit back but I was so wrong. Take a pictures before you move out just because they dumping people and making them to pay for not existing problems. The maintenance rude and very unfriendly. Very bad experience.

Had someone living here for years come up and tell me the staff here are wonderful. We shall see but everything has been great so far!

I'd give this place more than five stars if possible. The grounds are well-kept, the condition of the buildings is age-appropriate, maintenance is super-responsive and the management staff is personable, responsive and professional. The few times I needed any type of help or had questions, either for management or maintenance, I received prompt and helpful responses. If I weren't moving to a different city, I would certainly continue to live here!

The apartment looks unappealing on the outside. The interior looks a little dated. Nevertheless, perfection is not the standard at this price range. The management is great. Maintenance always responds in well under 24 hours. The complex is very quiet. Even my autistic son has not made a complaint about the noise. We did have a few bugs when we came in. Bugs are an inevitable part of life. Still, management was very responsive to my concerns. They quickly brought in the exterminator. We have nearly zero bugs of any type after my family embraced a vegan lifestyle. Management was very kind when we flooded the apartment. We did about $800 worth of damage. The management even suggested that we pay the balance in monthly installments. Fortunately, we had the cash on hand to cover this expense. I also experienced a problem with the electronic payment system. Fortunately, management forgave the late payment fee of about $150. Thus, I now pay my rent way in advance. Unfortunately, my family will need to move to Chandler at the end of August. I doubt we will have the same good luck at the next apartment complex.

Honestly when I moved in it was great for 4 months than it’s been a rollercoaster of issues including unprofessional office staff. I’m at the point I’m notifying corporate about the office staff because they don’t seem to be held accountable for their rude behavior towards tenants. Belittling, arguing and blaming tenants for issues the office staff causes is ridiculous.

I lived here for two years, then came back after leaving briefly! While going to ASU this was the best deal for sure. When I had an issue with another resident (which was not at all normal and I made friends with many of my neighbors) they backed me up right away and were on my side. They made sure that I felt safe in the whole situation and accommodated my needs. Being listened to was really nice, and having someone be proactive about the situation was even better.

Awful awful awful service, it's way too expensive for the service to be so terrible. There's no communication and falsely advertised amneties. For the price you're paying you should at least get a heads up when they send people to your apartment for inspections, you should at least be able to use your assigned parking space, you should at least be able to pick up a package not between the hours of 11-1 on weekdays. Ridiculous, waste your money somewhere else please

The apartment manager is very good on ensuring everyone feels like their apartment is truly a home. Pam was quick to respond and truly cared when I had an issue with my apartment. The apartments feel very safe.

I have lived at The Villagio for 2.5 years and it has been a wonderful place to call home for myself, my boyfriend, and 15 month old son. What made me choose this community over others in the area was the fact that it had everything that was important to me for the fairest price. The amenities I value most here is the free wifi and the washer/dryer in my unit; and when I subtract what I would be spending on wifi alone and all the hours spent at a laundry facility I am saving a lot each month. The interior of my unit is very nice; with up to date appliances, wood laminate flooring, and clean carpets. I also enjoy the gym, and the fact they request a small deposit to use it. At first it had frustrated me, but I now see the value, and using the gym is a pleasure with other respectful residents. And might I add they also have a fun what looks like Zumba class on Tuesdays and Thursday that I am still afraid to try. Lastly I appreciate the staff here. Any time I have had to put in a maintenance request, they are VERY prompt on their arrival, they even have an on-call service for emergencies (which have even showed up during non-emergencies). And of course my favorite has been Yolanda, the leasing manager, she has been extremely professional and courteous to me throughout my stay. Due to the fact the office is open during the hours while I am at work, she has been so helpful via email in getting things taken care of for me. Quite honestly if you take care of your home and treat the staff with respect you should have no issues with management. And as I signed for my third lease here, I was even able to negotiate a lesser increase in rates due to my tenure. Thank you Villagio for providing a safe and comfortable environment for my family and I to live in!

management is horrible, place is horrible, thieves, I have bedbugs and cockroaches in my place, nothing was fix. I requested to be move to another apartment, they did not do it, I'm living in a horrible place and no one fix the problem. Be smart, do not rent here....

So, people, I am sad to write this negative review, but the management of this property are very dubious!! They are criminals and would look for every way to steal your money from you!! I advise you most sincerely to look for somewhere else to stay in Tempe. There are so many alternatives that are classier right there on Baseline road.

I just want to say it is an amazing place. The property is nice, the staff is friendly and gets everything done when a request is put in. I have lived here for 3 almost 4 months. The gym is nice and pool/spa is awesome. Spent alot of time at the pool this summer. They also have a dog park. They keep everything up to date and will also be painting the buildings soon. This is a great, clean, friendly place to live.

This apartment complex is no 4 star luxury place to live. It looks old, inside and out. Management is HORRIBLE. All they want to do is take your money. I moved out 3 months early and still paid my rent but lived with my mom. It was cheaper to stay in the lease unfortunately....... This place sucked so bad I had to pay to not be there. Worst experience living here.

This cannot fully describe the horrors of this apartment complex. If there was a zero rating, that's what I would give. I lived in Villagio Apartments for 2 years and a half. After I moved out, I was extremely surprised to receive an email with my move-out statement that stated that I needed to pay for a new carpet replacement and that the amount would be taken out of my original deposit. To say I was confused and shocked is an understatement. Let me explain. 1. I was told by the property manager NOT to have the carpet cleaned myself and let Villagio handle the carpet cleaning, and she assured me I would ONLY be charged the cost of the carpet cleaning. I agreed to this. This was a mistake as I came to realize she only told me this to trick me into leaving the apartment without cleaning the carpet. 2. When I first moved in Villagio apartment complex, the carpet was very thin, definitely NOT new and even had stains on it. I specifically asked to either get a new carpet, or at least have those stains removed the day I moved in. I was told they would not get me a new carpet, and that the stains could not be removed. I wrote on the move-in form about those stains. There is absolutely no reason why I should buy a new carpet for an apartment I moved in that had an old , stained and used carpet in it. 3. After replying to Villagio's email about my move-out statement, and stating I did not agree to me getting charged the cost of replacing the carpet with a new one, I got an email back from the Assistant Community Manager, stating that they would split the cost of replacing the carpet with me. I have been trying really hard to understand the rationale behind this. Either I am responsible, or I am not!! If at least I had gotten a new carpet when I moved in, or if I had damaged the carpet when I lived in Villagio, it would make some sense. They have absolutely no shame whatsoever stealing my deposit money. Oh, and I almost forgot, when I lived there, there were at least 2 shootings. My building was even yellow taped and TV crews dispatched. Police was constantly there. Villagio apartments does not give you a feeling of a safe environment at all!! I am utterly disgusted by this place. It's been 4 months since I left Villagio, and they still have not paid me my deposit money back, not even a cent. I would not recommend Villagio Apartments to anyone. DO NOT rent there, they will con, lie and steal from you. Be careful!!!

so pleased with my new apartment and the leasing office for taking the extra time and attention on my application after finding rental history that was not me. it took about a week to dispute the judgments and Villagio was able to rent to me i am very happy with the leasing office especially management

When looking for a new place to live my boyfriend and I wanted something affordable in Tempe near my work that wouldn't break the bank, but that was also safe and quiet. Since we have lived here it has been very quiet and nice in our area of the complex. There have been a few times the cops have been seen near us arresting people which isn't a nice sight to see, and there was apparently a break in near us, but nothing horrible that would lead us to want to pay to get out of our lease early. That being said, the staff have been absolutely horrible to deal with since we moved in. Rude and uncooperative to say the least. They are there for one thing--to get new residents in the complex and to make money. They could care less for their current residents. At one point we had maintenance barge in to install something on the back porch without a single notice that they would be doing so. I was on a very important phone call at the time and having someone come in unannounced was scary and upsetting. He seemed miffed that I hadn't opened the door the first few times he knocked. I could have been in the shower or bathroom for all he knew! On top of that, I have a dog that could have gotten loose since they are supposed to give notice according to the lease, and animals are supposed to be locked up before they come so they don't escape. Very rude and irritating. Will never ask maintenance for anything in our time left. My boyfriend will take care of anything that goes wrong since they are good for nothing anyway and did half-assed work the day they barged in. My boyfriend ended up having to completely fix everything they did. So needless to say, if you keep to yourself and want a quiet and cheap place in Tempe, it's an okay place to live. Just don't expect to be treated with respect by the staff and maintenance.

Good location. Tiny restrooms that are disproportionate to other rooms. Spacious kitchen and roomy entry way/hall. Downstairs patios could do without 5' walls that block any decent view. Outdoor walls, walkways, landscape can use some updating and grass is only for the roadside apartments for passerbys to see, us in back get stuck with ugly gravel. Three pools is a plus! Maintanence responds very fast. I have renewed once and considering a third time as rent is reasonable for the area.

Apartment complex is beautiful, unit is spacious, and great location. Not too far from Arizona State University, US 60, an Loop 101.

I am in love with my place but I want to make a few changes to my place. With having high ceilings cost for electricity is costly.

This is definitely a starter apartment. The furnished furniture is not of quality so don't expect it. The couch is hard as a rock and so is the bed. I have had to layer foam on both the couch and bed to make it comfortable. When I first moved in over a year ago, the neighborhood was quite, you have the usual prank knocks on the door from kids but that was about it. Now you can tell the neighborhood is changing. There are a lot of random people wondering around, we caught someone two days ago looking into our porch window, trying to check out what we had inside. We are moving because we want a nicer apartment, in a nicer neighborhood. The front office staff is awesome though. They are always on their game.

Great place for a family live. Lots of amenities. A basketball court for the dribbler in your family, 3 swimming pools for the Flipper side of your young ones, a tennis court for the Billy Jean King to come out in you, a gym for mom or dad to workout their exhausting day of work and taking care of the children, and we cannot forget Fido, there is even a dog park so your favorite pooch can enjoy fun, sun, and exercise in one. The staff is very friendly and helpful and when something breaks and needs fixed, maintenance is there within 5 min to get the job done. The neighbors are friendly and the community is quiet. No loud parties that would disturb residents. It is a great place to live. I would recommend to all friends and family.

The management is nice and very helpful. They have furnished and unfurnished options which is idea for someone like me who moved from another state, and great for college students/graduates. However, the amount we pay for rent is obviously not being utilized enough to upkeep the grounds(average) and we have plumbing problems. I would live here again yes, but it is not my first choice.

I currently live in the community. It is a very perfect community. It is safe, quiet, clean. And the rental is very reasonable.
