Clean and quiet complex Just moved in a few weeks ago and so far so good! I have already recommended this place to a few others .

I just renewed my one-year lease. The leasing office staff is very professional and the maintenance crew is on top of my requests. It's a very peaceful and beautiful resort-style apartment and grounds. Unfortunately, there are some residents that do not take care of the grounds and ruin it for those of us who love living here.

The maintenance guys like Alex and some other guys are very professional, informative, and do a great job.

We're thrilled to hear your positive comments about our maintenance team, especially Alex. It's crucial for us to have professionals like them in our team who are not only skilled but also great at communication. Thank you very much for taking the time to acknowledge their efforts; we'll make sure they get the recognition they deserve!
We just signed another lease with this complex because we have had nothing but great experiences living here. Randy and Alex, the Maintenance team, came next day after I submitted my Maintenance Request. They were friendly and hard working. The property is incredibly clean, and we love the updated appliances and flooring. Also, the Gym and 2 pools with cabana's cannot be beat!
We just started leasing a 2 bedroom apartment. We have a 3 and a half year old, as well a child on the way. Suddenly, without notice, this facility hired a company to install electric vehicle charger stations in every single reserved vehicle parking spot. This company started trenching right outside of our place. Our child almost fell into one of trenches which were left completely uncovered. Open trenches should be covered with plywood or metal grates per city requirements. This same company has blocked numerous reserved parking spots between April 21-26, one of which was ours, so my pregnant wife had to find an empty spot on the other side of the complex and walk almost 2 blocks with our child when she came home. We are worried that this may be a continued issue regarding communication and exclusion. We both struggle to pay the considerably high rent here, and it hurts to be involved with paying money to a company that clearly only cares about taking it. We were shown a very different version of this community upon a pre-lease walk through. We always see cars parked overnight in the no parking zones by the trash but they never get towed, shouldn't my wife have had the option to park there while this company tears apart the surrounding grounds? We never got an email or a paper notice regarding the construction for the electric hookups. We never got an email or notice regarding the roof up keep which have been here 1 week or longer. We have taken our child outside to roam in the grass near our place and almost everytime someone comes in with dog poo on their feet. I guess that's normal for this area but where we lived before that never happened. I have to say that since we've been here, the designated trash zone does not appear to be ours to use. It is crammed with random old mattresses, chairs, shelving. We stood there one day watching a person pull into the property in an unmarked vehicle and dump a truckload of old insulation and dry wall, then leave. We are concerned that the trash we pay for wrapped into the rent is being abused by people that do not live here, therefore why the cost if anyone can dump trash for free? We hope this may help the management be better at including a more comfortable area to exist.
Management is useless unless you are a new lease VICTIM. No responses to voicemails or email unless you are a new lease VICTIM. You will need to have your own handyman as any repairs, emergency or not, will BE IGNORED. THIS IS NOT LUXURY. Non reserved parking looks like a junk yard with inoperable vehicles which the "security" company WILL NOT TOW AWAY: flat tires, non residents, etc... As well they are the SMALLEST parking spaces you will ever see so get used to squeezing tightly out of the driver side door just to exit your vehicle. Out of 7 days, 3 of them the hot tub was non operational. If you do have dog(s) prepare to step in piles VERY often, most of the people here care nothing about picking up after their own pets, and combined with lack of security cameras throughout the property, this is not enforced. Avenue 5 refuses to hire enough staff at this Sofi location, so make sure you like waiting for something that will never happen. Its sad that they arent transparent when signing people into year long commitments that will cost between $26,000-$30000. ALSO BEWARE, this company may try to charge you top dollar for a unit that has NOT BEEN RENOVATED: old shabby cabinets, REALLY REALLY bad shower/tubs, old carpet, old paint, old ceiling fans. They will NOT clean dryer ducts EVER costing more electricity out of the renters pocket. The blinds on the sliding doors and windows are easily over a decade old which makes them frail and poor at blocking light. The windows are VERY OLD, single pane, NOT energy efficient. The trash situation here is a complete joke. There are constantly random non residents showing up leaving beds, grills, tables, desks, everything and anything, so the waste disposal is always full and disgusting. It is an unfair business practice to market a renting habitat as Luxury due to the surrounding area, when it lacks basic high end community standards. Considering renting at this property? Good luck. Find out what they say when you ask about these dilemmas. They will lie straight to your face. Then you start a process; wait, worry, frustrate, ask... Repeat. NOT LUXURY
As a pet owner, it does make me nervous when I see pitbulls and other "non-eligble" dogs in the complex.
I have recommended SOFI to my friends that are looking for a place to live. They have all agreed that the area and the apartments are very nice but that the rent is just unaffordable to them. I agree, I don't know how much longer I will be able to afford living here.
Very nice apartments horrible parking situation. If there are more than one person living here with 2 cars good luck on finding a parking spot its as bad as living in the valley.
Leasing office does not communicate effectively the needs for the application process and some staff were annoyed by the calls of my roommates and me just trying to figure out what we needed next.
The new management group was slow to address landscaping and trash cleanup since they took over. Maintenance has been fine
Nice, quiet community. The apartments are comfortable. Some nice amenities to take advantage of, an awesome location.
The grounds of the complex have deteriorated in the last few months and I get no response to my requests to clean up the carports and trash area.
Beautiful pool , great neighbors , my view is great !
The amenities are nice and up to date but the parking situation is so bad, it affects the quality of my life as a nurse. My boyfriend and I get home at strange hours due to our work schedule and with the rent we are paying, I expect more than a parking lot with tiny spaces that fill up before 5:30pm every day.
It is not clean as it is before. The property used to be very clean but since the management change seems like nobody care it. Just check the ash tray, the cigarette buds are all over there.
Having lived here for over 2 years I know that some apartments (mine included) are subject to a lot of excess noise (particularly those apts that face Country Club Dr). Additionally my apartment has noise created by the dog park right in front of my suite. The street noise has affected my sleep patterns.
It's a safe community and most of the tenants are friendly, caring and respectful.
I would recommend this community since it is safe, close but not too close to mayor highways and of course the quality of the apartment would be a reason to recommend this community.
Our community is quiet and highly valued. The landscaping around the buildings is ignored, bushes are overgrown and there are not enough poop bag dispensers/trash cans around the walkways. There is always poop on the grass.
Have lived here for many years... The best combination of value, good neighbors, good management and location in the area.
I am not happy with the lack of lawn maintenance for several months. My apartment number placard was installed upside down and reads"6" instead fo the accurate "9" and has been so for 3 weeks.
The price of rent is overpriced for what you get compared to other apartments in the area
Good location but not particularly high maintenance and appearance standards. As far as apartments in this area go this is a reasonable option.
Rent is very expensive here, its ridiculous. Parking is awful here I would love for resident to have two parking spots.
Loved being here, wonderful neighbors, quiet location, never any trouble at all. Safe environment was the biggest concern for us. Places to go, fun pick your own vegetables minutes from the apartment. Close drive to beaches, lakes, and our favorite places to go were not too far. Only bummer was no use of the gym and little use of the pool from COVID but other than that, if I wasn’t leaving California I would’ve stayed longer.
this is a nice place for me and my cousin its very near to my work to my side jobs, its walking distance to cvs pharmacy and the good things is a dog friendly.
I have lived here for a year and a half the apartment is big and spacious with new upgrades. The surrounding neiborhood is amazing with plenty of places to walk and hike. I really enjoy living at the villas at wood ranch.
The apartment is nice, so is the pool. A little bit pricey and electricity bill is always kind of high for a 2 bedroom apartment but that is okay. Overall a nice and quite complex. It is a smoke free complex which is great but I wish people actually did not smoke. We always see people hidding behind cars or even the mailboxes to smoke. Pet friendly complex too which is nice, not so nice though is the high amount for the pet deposit $750 per pet and the fee to test your dogs saliva $35 per pet.
Thanks to Apartments.com I was able to find an affordable home in a desirable area close to where I work and go to school. The apartment I am living in is a 1bed/1bath unit at the Villas at Wood Ranch in Simi Valley, Ca. I have a beautiful upstairs unit with vaulted ceilings and granite counter tops. It still has that new apartment smell and it's been almost 2 months! I was able to choose paint colors that this apartment complex painted for me before move in, and the light blue walls really make me feel relaxed and at home. It's the little things that make apartments feel complete, such as fresh, soft carpet, nice views, and let's not forget the nearby pools, tennis courts and fitness center! Having lived in other apartments in the area, I really appreciate the parking lots at the Villas at Wood Ranch-- there are always open spaces aside from an assigned covered space. Also, another great feature is that this apartment complex is only a couple minutes away from the freeway, eliminating the need to leave extra early for school, work, or appointments. Living at the Villas at Wood Ranch has been a delight! There are shopping centers just a few minutes away, it is right next to the Ronald Regan Presidential Library which is a fascinating museum that hosts exciting exhibits all year around, and we have great weather in this little area of Simi Valley!
Great place to live, quite and lots of family, and everyone is friendly and Pleasant
This apartment is located in Wood Ranch, the best area of Simi Valley, close to the 23 freeway, and surrounded by greenery. the apartment is simple but has it all. Vaulted ceilings, granite counter tops, wood cabinets, wide granite vanity area separated from shower and toilet. Laundry area and ample bedroom with 3 door closet. The best feature is The balcony with storage and the most beautiful view of mountains and trees. It has the pool, laundry area and gym, right next door. Close by covered parking space.
