A beloved community with an abundance of small town charm, Columbiana is a unique suburb. With friendly neighbors, a supportive community, and affordable housing, Columbiana is extremely popular with its residents. This city’s downtown district is quaint and well-kept with local restaurants and shops like Birdfish Brewing and Pewter Peddler. A few additional restaurants reside to the west of Arrowhead Lake like Das Dutch Haus.
Firestone Park is a major perk of living in this city, featuring tennis courts, athletic fields, an outdoor swimming pool, pavilions, paved walking trails, and a community garden. Columbiana features excellent private and public schools, along with the Links at Firestone Farms, a scenic golf course in the community. Columbiana is relatively far from major cities like Cleveland and Pittsburgh, but Columbiana has everything you could need.

Property Ratings at Villas at Charleston
The homes are beautiful and clean. Jody is a sweetheart and great person to work with! Couldn’t recommend them more.
We had a great tour and got to see the property for ourselves. Everything is kept in fantastic condition and very up to date. Jody was also extremely helpful in showing us the apartment.
When looking for an apartment that had one srory living we came across the villas at Charleston in Columbiana. After I found out that I have muscular dystrophy and was not able to move in my 2 story home we found this place Jody was great to work with and made the move in process extremely easy we are very happy and we recommend this place anybody.
We moved in in August of 2021, and so far we are having an amazing time living in this neighborhood. Not only are the apartments beautiful, the neighbors are sweet as well! The noise in our apartment is very low and we never hear our neighbors through the walls. It is convenient that there is a first floor laundry and an attached garage. The back porch you get is so nice and wonderful for fall! 10/10 Recommended!!!
My parents live here and I myself would love to live there. Nice quiet place and very well kept
There are many good things about the apartment complex, but also some negatives that we have noticed since moving in. We love being on a first level with a garage and back patio as well as in unit washer/dryer hook up, but there are many drawbacks that we noticed after becoming residents here. The paint used on the walls is poor quality- if you splatter or spill anything it is not easy to clean up and leaves the wall discolored. The pocket doors are poorly installed and create such a hassle. We haven’t been able to spend any time on our patio or front porch because it is just all mud-however this will be resolved once construction is completed. The middle complex is right up against another complex and many of our neighbors play very loud music at night which is hard if you have little kids. I suppose the outer units would be better, but if it’s your neighbor playing loud music then you’re in trouble. The driveway is extremely narrow and difficult to pull into with large vehicles. The one car garage is not good for big vehicles either and is very narrow and difficult to get in and out of your SUV/truck. Electric bill is outrageous. On top of the pricey rent-utilities will cost you another 200$ a month. The most frustrating issue of all is management. There is no management on site and if you call they do not even pick up. You have to leave a message and then they still don’t call you back they just send an email. After 5 months of living here we finally heard back from management about our muddy yard. It is not easy to get in contact with anyone. When I called about getting our pocket doors fixed (which my husband ended up having to fix AGAIN) they sent a maintenance man at 8:30 AM. No courtesy call or warning that anyone was coming. They rang the doorbell, dog went crazy and they woke my child up. This place has a lot of potential but it is clear they want to make as much money as possible with doing as little as possible. I am very disappointed over all with our experience here. I had high hopes before moving here, but some things you just can’t predict with a new complex.
My family and I recently moved to the Villas at Charleston and are very please with many aspects: single level, garage, comprehensive floor plan, etc. However, there are a few drawbacks that I would like to make appartment shoppers aware of. The heating and air might as well be blowing into the outside: there are areas of our apartment that are cold/hot no matter what. Besides comfort, you can kiss any hopes of energy efficiency good-by. Currently the property is under construction! As I'm sure you've heard, these are brand new apartments and they are still building! Only problem is they don't seem to know when too much is well... too much. Besides having mud for a front lawn, workers are out late at night making noise trying to get footers laid and drains set. So if you're like me and you work in the mornings, you can see where this might be problematic. Overall, there is great potential here and it's a great appartment to live in. But the price in this market might lead you to assume that your time and privacy would be respected. I hope these issues are addressed, but until they are, I hope that this review helps someone make an informed decision.
We really like living here. The units are pretty and finished well. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The neighborhood is also close to the heart of Columbiana but still has a country feel to it. The staff and maintenance are friendly and communicate well. The only drawback at this time, is that behind our house is nothing but mud and the construction crews are here very early in the morning. For a couple this would be perfect, but it’s hard not having somewhere the little kids can play.
We sold our house and are in the process of building- these apartments were the perfect fit for us! They are brand new, lots of storage and a great open layout that gives our family plenty of room. The kitchen is large and has a nice walk in pantry. The property manager helped us in every way possible to get us moved in quickly.
I recently moved to the Villas at Charleston and it was the best decision I’ve made . The unit is Beautiful And the quality is by far exceptional . I have owned Homes and Condos and the construction details here are the best but the best Quality is the Leasing Manager Jody . She has made my move effortless and that’s real important when your looking to make a life decision like moving . Answering all questions big or small also helping with utilities information to detail .
I’ve been living here about 3 months and honestly no complaints. I have super nice neighbors, very up to date places. If I have to put one complaint it’s just all the construction but that’s only temporary so not a big deal
I came to the Columbiana area for work not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Everything is brand new and has everything you need locally and even more within 15 minutes of the Villas. Jody was the realtor that was suggested from a friend that I use and she made the application process very simple and easy. She did not disappoint!
