Like the name implies, this district is home to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Although this neighborhood is a clear choice for students, faculty, and staff, the University District offers allure far beyond the campus. The neighborhood is filled with restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping options. Boulevard Mall offers over 100 stores selling everything from candles to shoes to candy. There is also an abundance of entertainment available within or near the community.
University District is home to several quirky museums including the Pinball Hall of Fame. SeaQuest Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Convention Center are also housed in the district. On top of stellar amenities and fun-filled activities, University District is in a prime location. The McCarran International Airport is four minutes from campus and the world-famous Las Vegas Strip is only seven minutes away.

Property Ratings at Villas at Desert Pointe
Been here nearly 2 yrs. My headline explains it. Daily mailbox theft, open gates, trash throughout hallways, no laundry room on the 1st floor, street people roaming around etc etc... Live here at your own risk...
Been a resident for 18 mos and the mailboxes are broken into constantly. This issue has been going on for several years before I moved here. They have security cameras in the mailbox area but "Never" check the footage.
Where should I start? This place is DISGUSTING. Urine in the elevators, trash everywhere, blood outside the doors. The apartments themselves are just OK nothing special things breakdown often. Birds poop everywhere in the balcony, when maintenance takes "care" of it, they just paint over it. One elevator per building and it breaks down often. One particular lady in the office is super rude. They tour you through a "nice apartment" but that's not what you get at all. Hot water is constantly on and off, including the water itself with no warning. I can't wait till my lease is up.
Absolutely abhorrent management. The dryers cost 10$ to use Pedestrians have to enter through the cars entrance Hot water goes in and out constantly The buildings are filthy Theres a roach outbreak every few months The elevators break down semi often 50% of the washing machines have been broken for months and full of old mouldy water Maintenance is useless, it’s easier to try and fix things yourself And the employees in the office are liars and do not know most of what’s going on
I used to live here in 2015-2016 because I went to UNLV! I had a 2 bedroom unit which wasn’t too bad, but it didn’t exactly look like the model. They didn’t let us see the unit we were moving into. The kitchen cabinets were not anything like the pictures and the outlets weren’t working. Also the fridge they had for us smelled rotten, so we got our own fridge and had management take theirs back. Our gas for the oven wasn’t turned on when we moved in, so when we requested it to be turned on, they came and opened it too much that we had a gas leak (we weren’t home when they did this). They had to come again to make it right. The repair guys always came within a week. People were always out and about at this complex, the gates were always broken, I got stuck in the elevator twice, and the mailboxes got broken into twice! One day my roommate and I were going to school and the maintenance guy asked if we heard anything at night. We lived on the 3rd floor and he took us down to the 2nd floor. He opened up the hallway door and there was blood all over the walls and floor! He said he thought someone was stabbed there! Another time, a man waited by my unit for me to go to school. I went home immediately after my class to make sure my unit wasn’t going to get broken into. Then I had to go to work and I got off at midnight. The man was drinking a beer and standing at the top of the staircase at my floor! The hallway door was broken off and was placed diagonal, so I quickly ducked under the door and went to my unit. After I was done showering, my roommate told me she opened the door thinking it was my friend, but it was the man! He wanted to talk to me and he even dropped off a fresh bouquet of yellow flowers! We stayed quiet in our unit, but he waited in the hallway for an hour. He poked his finger in our peep hole and it got pushed into our apartment since it wasn’t glued in place. Building 4 is heard to be the worst! Even one of the repair guys told me about it being constantly broken into. We had a couple roaches, but not many to complain about. When it was time to move out, the management team couldn’t find the fridge that they took back from us, so they almost charged us for it! Make sure to keep every paperwork from them!
No security gates remains open most of the time always broken, homeless always coming in using elevators as urinals very disgusting, customer service really bad, if you complain they don’t take you seriously there’s other places better than this I’m just waiting for my contract to expire
I've been living here 2 years and the staff in the office is terrible. They are rude and lazy. They don't care about you at all. The place it self is a disaster. Dog poop everywhere, bugs everywhere, unpleasant neighbors everywhere, and nothing works. Save your money and stress. Live somewhere else.
After signing the first agreement we were only shown the 2 bedroom and studio which looked nothing like the 1 bedroom we wanted. Our first look at the place, the key got stuck ( already a bad sign) then the place obviously is not 900 sf. My current apt is much larger and is only 800 sf not including the patio. The patio door frame was cracked like someone has tried braking in and the toilet looked like a kindergarten toilet. My husband is 6 ft and it was almost like he literally had to bust a squat to use the toilet! I'm glad I took a long break to take a look at the real apt we were about to live in!!!
These people have no worries. People have needs to move in . I can't do anything because I been waiting for them to fax my job some paper work to complete my application and they just don't care I had to be the one to call back and forth giving numbers because they have no worries . I can't believe how slow this process is!
Im young, im 21 I go to school at UNLV and work on the strip... So I though it would be smart to move somewhere close to both because of the great location. The first day I moved in I had a man come to my door 3 times and ask for my number then my phone. After a month of living there my car got hit and sratched paint off the side. Then following that (within the first month) my appartment got broken in to. I called the office they changed my locks). Second month my apartment got broken into 2 more times. I did not feel save in this apartment. Not only that they forgot to tell me previously this was second chance living. So before this management took over it was second living for people who couldnt get accepted into an apartment due to their background. This place is not safe, do not move here because it is cheap. It is not worth it at all. Biggest mistake I have ever made.
Other places take 2-3 days to process an application and have an answer. This place, it's been a week and still not application completed, they do not follow through with calls or emails. It's very frustrating when one has the need to move and have the process moving this slow. Some of the information given by them was wrong. I called many times checking on my application, and every time the person still had not seen or done this. Things that would take minutes, it takes hours with them.

“Thank you for reaching out. We are so sorry that you had an unpleasant experience. So that we may address and find a solution for you, please call us at 310 639 7130 or email apartmentscustomerservice@westlandreg.com . Thank you!
I moved into this apartment based on a friend's recommendation. My friend has lived here for five years and has zero complaints. Everything in his apartment is great! My apartment is in building 4 (considered the "roughest" building, whatever that means). Aside from a loose cabinet door, there's nothing particularly flawed about it. The place was a bit of a mess when I moved in, but all of my requests (including re-cleaning parts of the apartment) were fulfilled with haste. Other than the location, which is more a poor section of town than a bad section of town anyway, there's nothing for me to complain about. The new management has been around for a full month at the time of this review and I haven't required their services specifically yet. But, maintenance hasn't suffered any performance issues since the change, and that's what matters most to me anyway.
being living in this apts for over 2 years, and things when from good to worse, rent was 433$ a month for and studio now 525$ i did not renew my lease and decided to start looking for anpther place.
We moved in under false pretences...the model apt they show future renters does not look like the actual apts you get on move in day. Not only that the grounds if your in the back property are not kept up. People who have pets don't clean up after their animals. Doors use to be entered by a key to keep the riff raff out they haven't fixed. So you get the unpleasant riff raff in doing illegal sales or just doing it out side the apts. Also bugs alot of bugs. You can be put on the list to have your apt sprayed but when that happens you get more. The office staff are not all on the same page so you have to constantly call to have maintenance finish up any issues you have submitted or they forget all about it. Don't come to these so called luxury apts. They are dirty and your constantly having to deal with filthy people around you who doesn't mind living with bugs.. (roaches)it's really unfortunate we found out about the filth and unprofessional personnel managing these apts after signing the lease. To make matters worse we HAD a puppy only 1yr and not quite 3 months old die because he ingested on the property while we took to go bathroom an amphetamine and we had to rush to the vet where we had to unfortunately put him down because it KILLED HIM... we told the property manager the day it happened and nothing was or has been done to protect not only the tenants or our pet babies.we have security if you can ever see him. SO don't come here if you want a care free living environment. But if you like living in slum conditions well disregard this review...
I have chosen Quail Ridge Apartments in Las Vegas, NV, 89119 as my future home with a target date of April 2014. I chose this site because of the staff I worked with purchasing a future lease with this property. I had 3 other properties in mind, but chose Quail Ridge for the value I am receiving.
I honestly love living here. It is clean, across from a park, in a great location, the staff is wonderful, and the place is beautiful. I rented out a 2 bedroom apt. with my girlfriend while attending UNLV. I love the location! All I had to do was drive 10 minutes and I was at UNLV or on the strip. Both rooms are equal in size, they both have beautiful vanitys, bathrooms and patios, and the amenities are wonderful. There are some things that could use an upgrade but since they are doing a lot of renovations I know everything will work out. You are on in Central Las Vegas close to the Strip and are located by restaurants and malls. The rent is extremely affordable and the staff is great. I would recommend this place to anyone.
I like it here. It used to be pretty bad, but a new company took over the management and they have turned this place around completely. They have done more renovations that I would have thought the complex was worth before. They painted everything, installed new hardware where necessary, cleaned it up, got rid of all the bugs, replaced what was broken, and hired a whole new team of office staff. Everybody who works here is nice. There are two pools, and even a gate. I moved in here because at the time it was the cheapest place I could find; I remain here today because it's the best deal in Vegas and I get a nice apartment complex at a reasonable price. I highly recommend it, and I've lived here for a year and a half.
