Property Ratings at Villas I & II
I've lived here for over 6 months now and I can't wait until my lease is up! Where do I begin? The airplanes fly so low to the property that you can literally see the name of the airline on the plane! The planes don't fly over everyday, but there are times where planes will fly over the apartment complex within 3-5 minutes of each other. Just back to back to back. There's also the street noise of the very busy FM 1960. There's always a firetruck siren, police car siren, or ambulance siren wailing no matter the time of day. It also seems to attract cars that like to race at night. Even the gates are noisy! You always know when a car is leaving because of the rail that you have to drive over. It makes this really loud "clack" sound. There are two gas stations next to these apartments and you can hear the bass booming from people's cars as they just hang out there. Also, as nice as the landscaping is, it has to be trimmed and cut weekly during the spring and going into fall. Grass cutting, weed eating, then they go through with loud blowers at the end. They also have to trim the hedges that outline the property which is a loud and long process! And the icing on the cake is that there are trees being cut down across from us which has added to the noise. I don't know what they plan on building over there, but all I know is that that means construction won't be far behind. The apartments themselves aren't extremely noisy, but just pray for quiet neighbors. The walls are somewhat thin and I can even hear when people are peeing in the apartment above me. I don't like how the maintenance men come into our apartments without us being notified. They stopped by everyone's apartment to wipe down our front door and change the air filter, and if you weren't home, they still come in. They also make random, unannounced inspections. One of the things lacking with this property is storage space. You have a laundry room and your small closet. No linen closet or storage closet on the patio. The patio's at these places are huge, so I don't know why they don't have storage closets. Basically, if you're looking for peace and quiet, keep looking because it's not here! I could see this being a nice place for someone who isn't home a lot or a family or person just needing a decent place to lay their head.
I have been at this apartment complex for almost a year. It is a quiet community. The office manager keeps an eye on who is coming on to the property. The office manager also takes the time to get to know you by name. My maintenance concerns have been handled promptly.
It's a beautiful apartment located near all of the amenities you want! The mall is down the street and there are a variety of grocery stores near. The staff is very nice and they always make themselves available to answer any questions you may need to ask. I would highly recommend these to someone looking for a nice quiet place to live.
