Property Ratings at Villas at Wylie
Residents are forced to park at the movie theater or park because they are at least 40 spots short. Yet they sent an email telling residents not to park in front of the office or they would get towed. Gates aren’t in use here. Tow happy all considering. If you prefer quiet, this won’t happen here. Thin floors, thin walls, loud cars, loud music, loud stadium and police/ambulance sirens driving through too often. Random smell of smoke (a certain kind that will get my review removed for mentioning directly), dog urine and trash in the hallways. Bathtubs are painted with slippery paint. Currently in the process of getting ours repaired because the paint is peeling. Ashley said units were fully renovated. Not true. She told us we’d get new kitchen cabinets a week after we moved in. It has been 9 months. Our microwave should’ve been replaced but they said no. It’s badly scratched up, covered in food/dirt/oil when we moved in and doesn’t sound right. I spent several hours cleaning our kitchen to make it tolerable. Unpleasant/unprofessional conversation with Allie because of calling her out on not following through with what she said about solving issues with our loud neighbors above us. I’ve given up and just counting down to when we move out of here to somewhere better.

This is definitely not the experience that we strive to create for our residents. We apologize for the difficulty you've had with parking, unfortunately, our space is limited and its important that we enforce our parking policy consistently. Cabinet replacement was not a part of our renovation process and our team was unaware of any concerns you were experiencing with your microwave. Please give us a call directly at (972) 442-6665 to speak further or stop by the office if you’d prefer to speak to us in person to ensure any pending request are addressed.
Stay away from this place if possible. We are a vendor of this place and they booked our food truck there. They changed management and decided to cancel our agreement without letting us know whatsoever. We got to know it when we move our truck onsite and they just didn’t have a proper explanation for the cancellation. We wasted our labor and all the food prep. Imaging it will happen to your business (or leasing agreement) one day. We called to complain and the receptionist refused to transfer us to the manager and she is very rude to us. Take your business somewhere else and save yourself from the unprofessionalism.
This complex is dying to rent. In the last 3 months, they have rented to not so becoming tenants. Beware!!
When moving in there were multiple items that did not work (lights, freezer, front door would not lock, etc.). It had also not been cleaned thoroughly. I understood this and did not think much of it knowing that I would end up cleaning everything over again anyways. I did however place a work order for the broken items. They came a week later to fix the door, after I had to ask two additional times... and still didn’t fix the other items on the work order.
Went to visit my elderly grandmother, she relies on me to take her to the store for groceries and other necessities. My cousin and I went by there to take her to the store and afterwards stayed for dinner and visited. We were only upstairs for no more than an hour and a half. Came back to my cousin's car gone. The apartment complex had it towed because it didn't have a parking sticker. I had visited by myself on multiple occasions and had never seen any sign that says you need a parking sticker in order to not be towed. We parked in visitor parking, like I had done many times before, not in a reserved parking space, not under the carport or in front of someone's garage, but VISITOR parking. What a way to end a night, paying $300 to get our car from the tow company that's located in McKinney. There are residents that have to have visitors in order to get their groceries and mail. She can hardly walk as is and was told by the front office that we can park across the street at the theaters and then walk all the way to the back of the complex where she lives. The front office is rude and will not return phone calls to anyone and actually hung up on us when we called. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and I'm so sorry my grandmother has to deal with such horrible management. Moral of the story: DO NOT RENT HERE IF YOU PLAN ON HAVING VISITORS. Unless your visitors have $300 to get their car back from the tow company.
I went to help my elderly grandmother with groceries. She lives on the second floor so it takes some time coming up and going down. I go there about once a week. There is one sign on one of the gates that not lit up and covered by trees that says "All vehicles that are parked without owner's consent will be towed off property". Nothing about a sticker being there right? So I took my grandma to her apartment and parked in a non covered spot, and close to the stairs so she won't have to walk far. I take her up there and get her settled in, probably took about an hour or so. I come back down and my car is gone. No warning or anything. I had to pay $300 to get it out of the tow yard not to mention had to drive all the way to McKinney to get it. So the next morning I call the apartment complex to get some type of reimbursement and the SUPERVISOR hung up on me. She said that is a sign that says no parking behind the gates. There is NO SIGN THAT SAYS THAT. There are about 10 parking spaces up front but are typically always taken. There are also no signs on the parking spaces in the complex that say no parking, residents only. I will never rent here and I'm sad to say that my grandmother is staying in such a poorly run place. If I could give a negative star, I would.
They have fewer spots then they have tennants by far. I have a two month old and a 2 year old that I have to walk across woodbridge pkwy all the way to the movie theater across the street every morning because of insufficient parking. When I voiced my concern they said it is not their fault because they didn’t build the place. guest parking is also completely full everyday.
Complex is very quiet and well kept. Office staff are professional and a courtesy officer lives on property. We have a beautiful pool and were close to multiple entertainment venues.
The apartment are nice,clean and very quiet. Maintenance crew are very helpful when you need them to be. I actually love my apartment??
Looking for a community with everything you are looking for? Broadstone Woodbridge is the perfect community. A few qualities I look for is proximity to shopping and eateries, school quality, ease of access to the highway, and lastly, limited noise. This complex is walking distance to Kroger, (2) two Starbucks, movie theaters, and various other shops. Also, less than one mile to Walmart, clothing stores and other eateries. You never have to leave your circle unless you really want to. For those with children, Founder's Park has direct gated access from the community, no driving necessary. For those with school age children: there is an elementary, intermediate, junior high and high school within a mile radius. Traffic is not a problem in the morning - however, please watch out for the new high school drivers. Love high school football? Wylie High's stadium is directly behind the high school - talk about never missing a home game. The complex features a gorgeous pool and remodeled fitness room. The pool is available from 10 am - 10 pm with 24 hour access to the fitness room which is connected to the leasing office. The hours for the pool is due to the apartments which are in ear-shot of the pool. With gated access, there is no better safe feeling. Modern apartments with black appliances and granite countertops. Some apartments have direct access to garages, while others are rented out. Parking in this complex is not the best, which the leasing office will advise upon calling. Parking is not reserved. If carports or garages are available - please invest in renting one. If you work late hours or have visitors, you will have to park outside of the gate in front of the leasing office - or across the street at the movie theater or in Founder's Park until 12am. Towing is effect at all times if no decal is located on the rear view mirror. Maintenance is timely and live on the premises. Maintenance men truly don't get the love they deserve - from Mr. Melvin giving me his plunger when my daughter decided to throw paper towel in the toilet - to walking the complex, losing my keys and after an hour walking around searching frantically an older couple who has lived in the complex for 7 years took me to Mr. Joe at 10pm and he walked me back home and unlocked my door for me. This speaks highly of the men who work on the premises. Broadstone Woodbridge is truly a place for any one wanting to feel at home. Why would you look anywhere else?
