Snug between Uptown and Lower Greenville, Knox/Henderson borrows a little from both -- the restaurant scene and walkability of Uptown with the live music and endless entertainment of Lower Greenville -- to deliver the perfect neighborhood. It's no wonder it's a Dallas favorite, from its restaurants like Café Madrid, Chelsea Corner, and the Porch to the Katy Trail, a 3.5-mile paved walking and bicycling path that runs through Dallas.
Knox/Henderson is located around the merging of Knox Street with Henderson Avenue along Highway 75. The heart of the neighborhood, Greenville Avenue, features funky sidewalk cafes and art galleries along brick-paved sidewalks. The abundance of bike racks and period lighting help solidify this area's cool factor. The residential side of Knox/Henderson offers a unique blend of charming bungalows, townhomes, and modern apartment buildings -- often side-by-side for a unique look with ample character.

Property Ratings at Vintage
Although the reviews on Apartments.com are not that good, I still wanted to move in I applied online and was excited to get a call back the next day. However the "Agent" who called immediately asked me to send in money via cash app for application fee. First since when do residential properties allow payment via cash app? secondly, I was never asked what unit I was interested in or any questions for that matter. My concern is the company seems to be all about money.
Management is wonderful! I love the amenities & how the rent is setup. If I didn’t need to move into a house I would be renewing my lease. Well if I don’t find one then I guess I will be!
If you are you are seeking an affordable, nice sized apartment that is fully upgraded and very well kept up, Concrete Jungle has 4 separate Dallas properties in one complex. Great and helpful staff. I cannot rave enough about The Huffman Group (Concrete Jungle). Matthew G.
Great location, quite , friendly ! Highly recommend! 10/10
I really like the San Jose building with Concrete Jungle properties and my experience thus far has been good. Anytime I have an issue or questions, the leasing office staff is very prompt and attentive. It's the perfect location and I am in close proximity to everything literally.
HIGHLY recommend these apartments! Recently moved out but decided to come back for another year because you cannot beat the value you get here. Management and maintenance are always striving to make your stay here the best. 5 out of 5 stars !
Very quiet neighborhood and love the office they help a lot !
They own several building here and are POOR OWNERS. They do not keep up with grounds, pools suck, ladies in office are no where close to professional and all they do is get you in and leave you to the roaches. That’s right ROACHES ARE EVERYWHERE. KOA IS FEASTED. VINTAGE HAS HORRIBLE PLUMBING. If you want to wake up to water leaking in your home or convicts working on work orders then live here. Haha it’s a joke though. They will take your money. You have been warned.
This place looks nice, and was updated in 2017. Don’t be fooled by it; it’s poorly maintained, and poorly managed. Be warned, manager only reports to herself.
Never have I ever had my guests tell me it’s like the White House to come visit me. Tbh I love that. There is a code for every door to get inside my building. Great views of down town. And who doesn’t like that!? Rachel is very considerate and professional. Enjoy
You can hear everything in the halls, you can hear everything in your neighbors’ apartments, and they can all hear you. You can also hear your upstairs neighbor talking and even snoring at night. I was told maintenance would come and fix things that weren’t done properly within the first week I moved in, (I’m in the new San Jose building) nothing had been fixed. There’s literally a hole in my wall. It’s very small for what rent costs. Won’t stay once my lease ends.
I have been living at Koa for over 2 years now. I enjoy my apartment and it feels like home. This proerty is close to uptown so I see that side of town and it also has close stores like Kroger. Target. And half price books. My favorite. The pools are great and deep enough. Parking is free and have no issue with getting into the gateway. We have a new manager (Rachel) and she has been great! Yes the trees need trimming and the leaves need to be blown but inside my apartment it is everything I need. GREAT PRICES TOO FOR DOWN TOWN HOMES. I See the changes being made with the new manager and I plan to stay for another 2 years or more. Thank you!
Pros: - Clean, cozy, and cute. Everything felt brand new when we moved in, and they care a lot about the ~aesthetic~. They even let us move in early. This was a big help, since we had just arrived in Dallas a few days before. - We really like the property manager and her team. They are very kind and professional. It is easy to contact them, and they are generally very attentive. - You can have your water, sewage, garbage, cable, and (fast, reliable) internet included in your rent if you like. Very convenient and very affordable for the location! -Great location! We work downtown, and our commute is only ten minutes. Close to grocery stores, Deep Ellum, Knox-Henderson, Lower Greenville, all the hip spots. -Multiple security codes to enter the building (We live in the French Quarter). We feel secure. Cons: -Thin walls. -Parking lot gate does not close. -If you live on the southern side of the French Quarter building, the driveway lights are very bright at night. -The shower is not fully enclosed, and water easily escapes. Never enough to cause problems, though. -There are no common washers or dryers in the French Quarter. You have to go to the Vintage or Koa to use those. There is space in our apartment to install our own machines if we had them, however. -Our apartment feels just a tad too small for what it costs. Overall, this is a really sweet place to live if you want to be close to downtown for work but away from the hustle and bustle. We love it and are very content with our first apartment.
I moved to Dallas back in October for work, and wanted a place close to my downtown job, and not going to break my bank. I stumbled upon Vintage Apartments. Completely renovated and updated featuring new appliances, flooring, outlets, furnishings and marble countertops. To top, they have on site laundry, and area a gated apartment complex. Overall, this place is great for the price, as they were 200 less than every other apartment around the area. I will keep this review short and simple, as it's tough to find good reviews. Pro's: - The cost! This place was the best price for the area and the amenities/perks you get. Honestly no-complaints about the price. - Updated, impressively clean apartments, featuring all brand new appliances, marble countertops and flooring. - They have a gated parking lot, and the entire property is gated separately to get in. This, and they have security camera's make me never wonder about my safety or my stuffs safety. - Plenty of space for a one bedroom. I have 3 closets in my one bedroom, 2 are a bit smaller but one is massive. My bedroom fits everything I have, and the front room holds my entertainment system, with a sectional, and the kitchen has a side area for a 4 seater large table I have. - The management is friendly and responds very fast, when I first moved in, my shower head started to sputter a bit and they replaced it within one day of me asking. Now, for the con's as I feel reviews without these, are not being truthful. Cons: - Bathrooms are a little on the smaller side. I can fit all cosmetics on the bathroom sink and I have a small rack for supplies, with a scale on the floor. So I can fit everything I need/want, but it's a bit tight. So if you are the kind of person who has 1,000 things in your bathroom it might be an issue. - Parking can be a little tight. Honestly have a gated parking lot is the best, and it's not a con, but I'm putting this hear because if you have a very large truck or car, you will have to be a bit more careful when parking as the lot is made to perfectly fit cars. So there isn't a ton of wiggle room to be hanging over lines. Those have been my only real "problems" so far, but to me they are nothing. I'm extremely happy with everything and I would whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone who is looking for apartments in the area. You cannot get a place as nice, secure, and friendly for the price anywhere else.
I am one of the very first tenants at the Vintage apartments (moved in September 2017) and I have been happy since day one! I am a young tenant, who has moved across the country for work, and the management at Vintage has truly made this feel like home. My first tour and application process was a breeze. Kelly, the property mananger, has truly been so helpful and accomendating! Since the day that she went out of her way to meet with me on super short notice to show me the property, she has made sure that my transition into the new property was seamless and comfortable. I have had very few issues with my unit, and whenever I contact management, the issue is resolved, at the very latest, by the following day. I am always notified prior to maintenance coming into my unit to fix any problem. I live in a one bedroom, one bath, and the only downside I will say is that the square footage is a bit small. However, it honestly does work for just one person (I have two closets in my bedroom and a huge storage closet in my hallway, and plenty of living space) and I never feel cramp whenever I have friends over! I am absolutely obsessed with how modern the space is, from the hardwood floors, exposed brick walls in my kitchen and bedroom, rain shower head in my bathroom, and granite kitchen countertops! The grounds are cleaned regularly. Even with a new complex being built right next door, the apartment is always so quiet. I am still astounded that as small as the complex is, I rarely hear any noise at all from my neighbors. Private gated parking, and you are sure to always have a spot because management ensures that only tenants receive a parking sticker. The complex is in the heart of Dallas, and is super close to various grocery stores, banks, parks, bars/restaurants, etc. Prior to moving in, I compared the price of this place to others in the area and it does not compare! It honestly is a steal! I have never written a review on anything, but I felt the need to share truly how great my experience at Vintage has been!
I have lived in the Koa building since it opened in Oct. 2017 and I have not have any issues! The area is thriving and in the midst of a rejuvenation and being in the heart of Dallas is great. I have no complaints about anything --the management is quick to respond and are very helpful with any issues that might arise. The grounds remain clean and my neighbors have been great as well. I'd definitely recommend these apartments to anyone looking to move closer to the bustling sections of Uptown, Deep Ellum, and Greenville. Also, there are several grocery stores, banks, and eateries nearby so that everything is very conveniently minutes away.
Been living here since last August, love that cable and internet is including in rent. I can hop right on 75/35 within 5mins. Sometimes the pool area can get a little nosiey since it is in the middle of the building, your favorite tv show will be ruined lol. One thing i would change is the way we communicate with management. I'm so use to doing things over the computer so it can be more efficient. Management can be a little "lost" because communication isn't proper its through text. The washer isn't free anymore (dry is) because they all broke down, so had to be replace by industrial ones. still cheaper than laundry mat. If your looking for somewhere cheap (near downtown/deep ellum location) and last minute this is the place.
I live in the community for about 3 months and I have to say it’s been the best. The apartment is Beautiful the finishes they paid attention to each detail. Its like a community with all three apartments next to each other. Everyone is very friendly and quite, have 2 pools you can use and a workout room and the vintage has a rooftop and it’s peaceful, Kelly the property manager is very friendly and always on top of things. They have a cleaning lady that come in and cleans the apartment hallway. The washer and dryers are in two out of three complex and it’s very convenient. I would give the place 5 stars for everything. It’s safe, quite and clean. If you are looking for a new place come here first. You won’t regret it.
I’ve lived in other apartment complex in the remote area and Vintage is by far the best so far. Neighbors are quiet don’t bother you. Washer/Dryer facility works great. Most of all the private parking garage ensures your safety no matter what time of day it is. Besides the outside features the apartments are beautiful and the management makes sure EVERYTHING is working all outlets , faucets, cable connections etc.,

We are so glad you are happy that you are comfortable with your new apartment. We certainly hope your continued residency here with us gets even better. Our residents are AMAZING and the quiet calm atmosphere is all about how amazing they are.
Moved out this last weekend due to job change but already miss it. It was quiet, extremely comfortable and neighbors were amazing. A few bumps in the road with the new construction issues but management is on top of issues quickly and worked with me on my move out constraints and when I was locked out of the apartment one evening. Best deal for the best interiors I found and would rent here if I move back.
The Vintage condo can look like a great deal at the first look but soon it will turn into a nightmare. The administration team are lazy, incompetent, disorganized, rude and untrustworthy. They will barely answer to the messages you may have to send them, they will send you wrong and weird documents and notifications (such as assuming you had an unauthorized party so now you have 3 days to move) and they will never tell you when they are coming to your house, so remember locking the second lock in the door or be ready to have a couple of guys or a rude lady getting inside your house with the extra key after knocking only once and basically for nothing. Although the condo was build just a couple months ago, there are lots of issues with electricity, floodings, plumping, infiltration, cockroaches, ants and of course they won’t really make any effort to solve anything, since it’s normal for them to schedule coming to your house but don’t show up. The crime and safety are a huge concern as well, the neighborhood is not the best but, the garage gate is always open (allowing strange people even to jump in the pool), and it took them at least 8 months, a breakin and somebody shooting the condo and breaking the apt 208 glass (yes!), for they to instal a few cameras that of course, doesn’t really solve anything! Noise is another issue. If now you move to the apts close to the number 110, be ready to hear everything, including uneducated people fighting or making other loud sounds at 3 a.m. These people often leave their trash on the walking way for days and take people’s clothes out of the washer and dryer machine, clearly they are not used to live in a civilized place. People often don’t clean after their dogs which makes difficult even to open the bedroom window. Right now they are building other communities around the street so be ready for the construction sounds at 7 a.m. and for listening to latin music the whole day. Not to mention how inconvenient it is to walk around, specially if you are a woman. Due to all these things almost everybody who moved to the Vintage in the middle of 2017 already had their contract broken and are gone.

Thank you for posting to apartments.com and I am sorry that your experience was not a good one. As a new property we are trying to learn from comments made by all our previous and current residents alike. The area is growing an changing daily and we hope that in the near future any negatives will quickly turn into positive. We believe great residents make a property so loosing good residents we hate to see for when something that is our of our control occurs. We are continuously trying to improve so again for this I thank you and wish you the best in your next life adventures.
