Property Ratings at Vista at Lost Lake
Leasing office staff are truly terrible. Not only is there staff constantly changing but there is a huge lack of communication between them. If you go in to ask one person working they claim to “write it down” or “put it in the system” but nothing will ever get relayed so you end up never getting your issue resolved. Speaking of issues, almost everyone’s washer is broken. I live on the first floor and I can hear when my third floor neighbor down the hall is washing clothes. My washer as well as my neighbor next to me washer jumps and thrashes around when I’m the spin cycle. My security alarm has never worked since the day I moved in. Today is October 21 2024 and I moved in December 1 2023. I have constantly asked for my alarm to be fixed and they will visit and say “I’ll be back with a part” but never return. I have three lights that don’t work and a fan that doesn’t turn on. Every time I ask for it to be fixed they say they make a work order and I’m never answered. I’ve sent email after email to the front office and nothing is returned. I constantly call the front office due to a new infestation that has occurred. The front office NEVER answers, so as a last result I walk over to the leasing office and have to wait HOURS to be addressed. With my 4 month old son as you can imagine it is very hard to do that. Oh also the power constantly goes out, they’re constantly turning off the water for hours at a time for “testing” The front gates are almost never closed or locked. And when you use the back gate be careful. I got into an accident right at the back gate due to half of it being closed and the other car not seeing me while going through the wrong side. RUN FROM THESE APARTMENTS. At least until there is proper staff and maintenance because it’s miserable living here.
Recently stayed in the Corporate Suite for training purposes. Lush Landscape with beautiful views. The staff was very accommodating and greeted us with a smile!
I love my new apartment. Thank you so much Mel. She was very patient. Answered all of my questions and was flexible with my schedule. I had a few personal unexpected events happen prior to move in, Mel was empathetic, kind, professional and made adjustments to help facilitate my complicated out of state move. The management team was wonderful and went above and beyond. I found an apartment that instantly feels like home, thanks to Mel and the stellar management team at Vista at Lost Lakes.
My dog has always been on flea medicine and has never had fleas until I moved to this apartment. What’s the point of having a dog park if the grass is not treated… I’ve asked many owners with pets if they use the dog park and the majority say no just for that reason. The stairwells have wasp and bee hives and still nothing has been done to remove them; even though some people are allergic. There’s people who smoke week 24/7 and have medical proof they need it but don’t tell you there’s smokers near you before you move in. So you can not leave the patio door open or go outside on the patio without smelling marijuana. Stairwells are super dirty, windows that are high above and can’t reach were really dirty before we moved in, mold on vents and cockroaches. Trash person some days decide to skip your trash for no reason therefore causing bugs to lurk around your door. Some outlets still don’t work. Paint comes off on floors and showers. People throw trash all over the street. The only good thing is the pool and an option to have a loft. To pay so much money to have all these problems is unbelievable. Wouldn’t recommend!!!

When I first got the apartment i was so excited moving from jersey my move in was Nov.. i signed the lease Oct.. a week before my apartment was so dirty dusty windows were disgusting inside and out they spray painted the inside of the toilet as time went by it started to peel into this looking rust around the toilet was yellow very disgusting i didn't move till last week of November they literally had so much time to clean the rugs were not vacuumed they apartment is supposed to be ready to move in they had nothing but excuses my biggest problem is the front office is very difficult to talk to they lie so much for example the grills they put papers up that they do not work that's a lie a man was at the pool with his kids there were no papers he was curious left came back with meat and grilled few weeks later the papers were up seems they don't want you to use them or use the clubhouses for private events such as birthday partys but if it was a safety requirement due to covid-19 then what about all tenets using the pool with the kids it's just a excuse for us not to use half of the amenities given with all the amount of money we pay for rent here it's quite stupid and very upsetting also let's talk about how first few months your paying for the amount of the lease you choose then months later you get hit with the water bill being put together with rent this is the first time I've ever seen and heard of this i thought I'd get a separate water bill like my light bill because if this is confusing how much your water bill is suppose to be and your rent you was first paying so when u look at the rent for next month you see all these fees that make no sense doesn't really explain why is your water bill coming out higher every month on top of that your statements show other months way before like it's just so confusing now pest control very annoying you go to the portal in the options you put in your request that's wrong with the problem you have for them to only due half the job why put pest control inside and outside especially if it's near the windows the problem is coming from outside never did the man due the pest control outside my windows sadly i'll be renewing my lease 1 more year and im out of here it's to expensive not worth it due to all the amenities you can't enjoy here pools are always filthy the cabanas never look like there are wiped down and clean now for the people speeding around here like if there on a highways my kid almost got hit twice.

Had fire ants that bit us several times while sleeping in our apt. Was without power for 9 days during Hurricane Irma. Neighbors next to us have been warned about noise at 2:30 a.m. and again at 4 a.m. on two different occasions. For an apartment that is horrendously expensive this is not a good place to rent! Had our fridge stop working and it took two days to trade out so we lost all our food!
I have lived through 2 management teams, and this one is by far the worst. The stairwells and barristers are filthy. The umbrellas at the pool are all broken. The pool is filthy as well. Stuff is stolen right out of your car, and it's the same people who work here that are stealing things. The community still has some decent people, but it is changing over rapidly to a lower class of tenants that do not respect your property and leave their kids running around without any supervision. The community definitely reflects the management which is rude, inexperienced, and too busy gossipping about the tenants to do even a fair job at managing, and maintaining the grounds. Noone I know is renewing their lease. There are better choices in Clermont.
When I first moved in the Apartment complex was clean, and quiet...That was in the past, now it is full of a bunch of people who make noise all hours of the day and night. The quality of the tenants has gone down. The vehicle gates are broken more often then they are working. The apartment complex has a group of kids weekly from a local golf school, that run up and down the stairs all hours of the day and make noise. When you call with a noise complaint, like they tell you to do, you never hear from anyone about it, and your case gets market closed, even though they did nothing. The only good thing I can say is they stay on top of maintenance in the apartments. They do not do a good job of cleaning up the grounds though. Due to the low quality people they are letting in, these people throw their trash all over the place and no one cleans it up. For what they charge I expect more. Beauty is only skin deep with this place. The insulation for both sound and efficiency is terrible. Besides the noise issues, the A/C seems to run all day. My advice look for anywhere else to live in Clermont. As soon as I can get out of this lease, I am gone and not too soon.
When we moved in two years ago we were caught up by the beauty of these apartments. But slowly our apartment started falling apart. The microwave started to spaz out and beep uncontrollably. The AC freezes over once a week in the summer. The small wooden pieces that are in between the balusters in the loft have all fallen off. The plastic piece that covers the top of the blinds in the living room fell off the second day. Then the dryer stopped working. That's when we had the pleasure of meeting the laziest "handymen" I've ever seen. We were without a dryer for a week. He would show up for a little in the morning , then leave and not come back the whole day. Then show up the next day at 4 and say "I only have an hour to work on this". He left the cover off the back with wires hanging out of it over the weekend. Really not safe when you have a small child, as I do. The renovations were a disaster. I couldn't use my kitchen sink for 3 days because it was leaking. They left the second refrigerator in my apartment for 2 WHOLE WEEKS! I called Karen, the project manager, 3 or 4 times and she would say "They haven't gotten that yet? I'm so sorry!" and then no one would come. One of the technicians was carrying supplies in and out of the apartment with a cigarette in his mouth. Literally, smoking in my apartment. The club houses are not allowed to be reserved for private functions. Like birthday parties or family gatherings, which is understandable so I requested to pay to rent it out and was also told no. However, the golf academy uses the smaller one for big catered parties and take up every table in it and the ovens and fridge. I was using the grill and went in to wash my utensils and the woman from the academy told me I wasn't allowed in there. So, I called the front office and asked why they were allowed to reserve it for private functions but I couldn't have my daughters birthday there. I was told the golf academy refers a lot of their students to the apartments so they have special privileges"then told to mind my own business. That's a whole other thing. The parking is terrible and the golf academy has a whole fleet of vans they park in the premium spots. It's absurd. The office people are stuck up and rude especially the office manager Lisa. I am convinced all of the 5 stars this place has been given on here are from the office workers!
We have lived here for a few years now and have seen lots of changes and not all for the good. Lets start with Management if I could give a lower score I would. the latest manager is untrained and and not a people person. She yells at her staff and berates the renters at every chance. Many long term renters are moving out DUE TO HER!!! Even though there are newer units and they are in the middle of redoing the older ones they just are not worth the rent they are asking for. Vehicles are broken into on a regular bases. Gates are down more than they are working. The site is trashed due to kids not picking up behind them self's Management will not add trashcan where needed They force you to pay for trash and a service to pick up your trash Trash left behind garages (some items have been there for more then 2 years. Many units being used as a hotel for a golf school There are better choices in the area for a lot less money!!
I moved from Puerto Rico with my boyfriend at the age of 18 to start building my own life and to start working hard. I moved into these apartments with a head held high because no matter the fact that it was at least 1k a month I wanted to live there, and I did! I fell in love with the apartment, The staff, neighbors etc. it was like home to me. The apartment was beautiful itself, no problems from the whole year I lived there. Front office especially lauren, are great! They helped me so much to get my dream home! The only reason I moved is because I could no longer afford it due to having to start college. Its a tough world, but look no longer. You will fall in love with these apartments as much as I did!
From the moment I pulled up to this property I loved how clean and fresh it looked. It was spotless, not a scrap of paper or landscape over growth anywhere. I went into the office and Lauren had a huge smile and made me want to move in before I even saw the apartment. She was so accommodating as I had many units I wanted to see and lots of questions. She took me all around and ended with the apartment that she thought was going to be "THE ONE", it was! The layout is exactly what I wanted which was an open floor plan, wood floors and just beautiful from the moment I walked in. The extras that I was looking for like granite counter tops, crown molding, stainless steel appliances, it had it all! The color scheme wasn't your typical white walls and that finished selling me on it. I was comfortable and felt like it was mine and I knew it was where I was going to live. The club houses and pool areas are absolutely beautiful. They have two dog parks, one very large one and one of them small for my tiny pup and right by my apartment! My move in was so easy and everyone that I have met in the office has had a big smile and just make you feel very welcome. I love where I live!!!
Moved in a few weeks ago. Front office staff are very friendly and professional. I had an issue with my a/c and a tech was out within the hour to fix it.
I moved to Clermont, Florida almost a yr ago and loved it ever since then. What makes this place amazing is the ares and where it sits at. The apartment complex grounds is always nice and the staff is friendly as well. In short if I could I would tell everyone to move here cause of the rolling hills and all the lakes. I am currently enrolled in school to get a degree in skin care and my bachelor degree in business management. So the reason I named my short story challenges cause of all the life challenges I have on my shoulder. With school, work and helping my children out from time to time when they need it can be challenging. With everything else going on in graceful for I do have and pray for everyday to be better... As we all know life can be a challenge!!
One of the common complaints I hear when I tell people where I rent is "that is so expensive," Reality is, you get what you pay for. With two pools, a gym, two beautiful club houses, indoor basketball court, free WiFi and coffee in the public spaces, this is the absolute perfect place for someone who is constantly on the go and wants all the amenities at home. With tile, granite, and stainless steel appliances, I feel like I am living in a beautiful custom home. When everything is taken into account, I feel my complex is actually a bargain.
The Vistas at Lost Lake is a great place to live with new units and they are remodeling all the older units. Schools are within 5 miles and A rated. There are 2 club houses and 2 pools with weight room and indoor basketball court. 2 Dog parks and playground for the kids. They have garage units that can be rented. This is a for this area. The staff is great and willing to work with you on any problems you might have.
I have rented at 4 different apartment complexes and I LOVE my apartment(s) at the Vista. I moved into the Vista at Lost Lake last year in October in the new phase. Lisa was AMAZING in helping to make the process easy and smooth in my decision making as I was moving from Orlando to Clermont. The upgrades the development has made are trendy, modern and stylish (being that I am in the design business myself). I originally moved into a one bedroom in which the Kitchen is what had me sold! I have now transferred to a two bedroom where I have even more space and if you are thinking of having a room-mate, you have a bigger room and closet, bathroom, entire apartment for a little over half the price of the one bedroom! I have a pet and I enjoy walking him outside. The lawn is always clean and nicely taken care of. Clermont and Winter Garden are building up FAST and this is the PERFECT location right next to Walmart, and a Publix not too far off, and RIGHT in between 50 and 27 with all the restaurants and things to do. Totally love the staff, maintenance is fast to respond, they are fair, and willing to help. Stephanie and Lisa are awesome girls in the office I can always go to if I need something. It's always good to LOVE your home, & to fell like the staff wants to take care of you. They do a great job! #worthrenting Enjoy!
My fiance and I currently live in the Vista's at Lost Lake but will be moving on September 11th to the Vineyards at Hammock Ridge in Clermont and would love free rent for life!!! We have been at the Vista apartments for a year and really enjoyed our stay. We are moving due to an increase in rent and more amenities at the new place. We would be ecstatic if we won!!! Please choose us! I am trying to get into dental hygiene school and this would help so much!
This is the best kept apt complex I've ever been in. Extremely well maintained, extremely clean, two pools, two club houses, sauna, gym, indoor half basketball court, free coffee and cookies, and the staff is adorable and very helpful. The new addition of the complex is very quiet and just well designed, the rooms are large, the kitchen is gourmet with all new appliances and real granite counters. Great lighting all over the room, and lots and lots of closets. My favorite part is the maintenance staff though, they have always responded my calls and fixed anything needed from leaks, to AC, free AC filters, lightbulbs to pest control so far. No big issues so far because this is a brand new building, but at least they are always very prompt to answering to their tenants. I hope it continues to stay this way for a long time.
Welcoming community with 2 swimming pool, fitness center. Bedrooms are large and comfortable with walk in closet amenities are up to date and even have hard wood floors.solarium gives you extra living space floor plans for everyone.
I've been currently living in my apartment for about 2 years and I love it. I love the high ceilings and I was fortunate enough to get a loft which is spacious. The only reason why I didnt give them 5 stars is because parking is kind of limited at certain times. Also a slight design flaw the only way to get to the only bathroom is through the bedroom.
The Vista At Lost Lake is a GREAT place to live!!! My husband and I have lived here for 6 years and it so nice!!! The complex is located near wonderful restaurants, great entertainment and shopping, GREAT schools, a wonderful hospital, and a GREAT collage campus. Did I mention it has the National Training Center less than 5 minutes away. The apartment complex has beautiful interiors good size rooms and is beautiful landscaped. We have two club houses with amazing pools, a gym, an indoor basketball court a great entertainment area and two dog parks. The staff is caring, friendly, and so nice. Maintenance is prompt and always fixes the problem. Who ever is thinking about moving to the Clermont area should really check out The Vista At Lost Lake. They will find their home here!!!
