I moved in a year ago. It was already overpriced but options were thin. When my lease renewal came up after a year there, they increased my rent $600 which was nearly 25%. I'm not sure what company would think that's okay. So I decided to leave. These apartments are significantly over priced compared to nearby properties with equal or better offerings. Plus pet rent, parking, and amenity fees are through the roof. The apartment was labeled at newly renovated but was done poorly and still very outdated.

Please allow us an opportunity to review your concerns in hopes of reaching an optimal outcome for you and Vista. I am not aware that our company has ever issued a renewal at a 25% increase and invite you to reach out to our office.
Shuttle service to train station cut, pool hours cut from 10a-8p on weekdays to 4p-8p, even cut phone service to door buzzers so all 34 buildings have no buzzers or anyway to let people or deliveries in. As a result we alone have lost over $500 in packages. Front office will lie to you saying they are working on it but it’s been over a year. Community is currently gathering signatures and values of lost goods for a class action suite. Tv service in gym has been cut. Grills are over a decade old, never cleaned and most don’t work. This place has only gotten worse and worse since Harbor Group has taken over and continues on that trajectory.

My wife and I and our two year old daughter have lived at Vista at Town Green (Formerly Avalon Green) here in Elmsford, NY for the past four years. Harbor Group Management Company came in and took over back in July 2022 and rebranded as 'Vista at Town Green' Our lease was ending this past week, and we never even received a renewal offer until I called to ask about it a few weeks earlier. Once they responded, they came back with an egregious 20% RENT INCREASE. Our previous rent increases hovered around 3-5% for the past four years we've lived here. We pleaded with them to work with us and offer something reasonable, but the regional manager here in New York wanted nothing to do with it. It was take it or leave it. Just nasty. They are full of greed and don't care about loyal, respectful tenants who help make the community a better place to live. I highly recommend avoiding signing any leases owned by this greedy, immoral company. Beware and stay away.
We had the sweetest nicest apartment until last week when the building put in a high intensity light outside our bedrooms. I asked them to turn it off and they refused. I sent photos and explained it's hard to sleep well. My baby is waking up at 3am as if it's 6am because the light comes through the blinds even with curtain over the blinds. It's like a permanent daylight. I'm not sure why this was put in, we have been there for many months. This was the nicest space to live until they did this. We had to report this to the Greenburgh Building Inspector.
Very expensive and the rent goes up tremendously without any added benefit to this. It really is attractive but it does not justify the rent hikes. It is unreasonably.
Stay clear of this " community" located on 500 Town Green Drive in Elmsford N.Y. . Very poor customer service. Onsite Management's responses range from being apathetic to defensive when any concern is brought to them. They are especially ineffectual in addressing matters related to safety. Electronically locked doors to buildings are continuously propped open, apartments have been burglarized, and cars are broken into on a frequent and routine bases ( as well as being raised up on cinder blocks and having their tires stolen!). It has been suggested by onsite management that I leave and move to a "safer complex " when concern over these issues where brought to their attention !! Moving as soon as lease is up.
the community is a fantastic place to live. There are plenty of amenities that make the experience convenient. The staff is very attentive and solve problems quickly. And the community is clearly well cared for. There will be occasional noise while they continue to build the place up, but it is not too bad and temporary. overall a great place to live.
In the center of everything. Right near main highways to make commutes easy It's on top of a hill so the views are great and green/woods scenery is amazing.
Do not rent from here! After one year (and never missing a payment and being extremely good renters), Avalon tried to take up our rent over 20%. If we decided to go month to month, they wanted an additional 1,000 dollars/month. They got us to initially rent by offering "2 months of rent free." Also, when we decided to leave Avalon after one year, they charged us over $700 dollars for damages which would be considered normal "wear and tear". Although we lived there for only a year (no-one had lived there before us, we have no pets and are non-smokers), they charged us to replace all of our carpets and re-paint the entire apartment.. We had to get a lawyer involved. Anyways, it looks great at first, but this place is NOT worth it! Unless, you want unreasonable rent increases, or you want to pay for damages that simply don't exist.
