Walker Ranch Park is a small corner neighborhood in northern San Antonio. Walker Ranch Park is filled with bright, colorful apartments with upgraded features and modern townhomes. The area is best known for being home to the Ranch Historic Landmark Park, which runs through the middle of the neighborhood. This area was once a hub for prehistoric peoples and historians believe the park was used as a tool refitting station, a butchering station, a plant processing station, a hunting camp, a social gathering spot, and more. This area was also once occupied by Spanish soldiers and settlers. Today, Walker Ranch Park is now a popular natural area great for walking and biking. There is also a playground, a small pavilion, and an amphitheater for special events.
Residents of Walker Ranch Park go to nearby Parliament Square in the southern tip of town and nearby Valley View Shopping Center for shopping and dining.

Property Ratings at Vista Crossing
I'll start with the good. The location is the best part. My commute to work while I lived here was 8 minutes, the best HEB in town is around the corner, and its immediate access to wurzbach is so lovely. Both the old and new maintenence teams were quick and competent, the new office staff is friendly and helpful, pest control is wonderful (I haven't seen a single roach!), the complex is pretty quiet even including the air traffic, and the area is relatively safe. Now for the bad. The apartments are incredibly over priced for quality - everything breaks! The landscaping is depressing, every time another patch of grass dies they just add more rocks. My apartment has water damage everywhere, stains on the ceiling and ancient super warped plywood cabinets. The cabinets are so warped from water damaged they're disgusting on the inside. The dishwasher keeps breaking and there seems to always be water issues for everyone. The AC looks like it's older than me and they won't replace it, they just keep adding coolant when it breaks again. Which makes our electric bill insane. I paid less when I lived in a 3k sq ft house! The ancient stovetop oven cannot hold a consistent temperature so I hope you don't like baking, you'll somehow burn and undercook even pre made cookie dough. And finally, I've had more than one neighbor report parts being stolen off of cars inside the complex, and even the new management won't put up cameras. So with all of that, I am truly dumbfounded why they think it's time to raise rent $300 - especially since it doesn't appear that any improvements are underway. But there are some good things. so. it's fine. I guess.

I have been living here for just over a year. I thought I had found the perfect place for me. The pictures drew me in and the model they showed me was homey. I WAS A FOOL! These apartments are not as they seem. Staff is friendly but in the long run doesn’t make up for the many leaks you’ll experience if you live here. I have had serval water leaks within the last year, and it turns out I am not the only building experiencing these issues. The sidewalks constantly flood and fill with mud which of course tracks everywhere. The gym is small and awkward to work out in during business hours because they leave the window into the office open. The pool is almost always dirty with leaves. People leave their broken/old furniture by trash which sits there for weeks. They started remodeling which definitely costs money but they won’t fix these decaying pipes in the building. Makes no sense to me. Best of luck if you move here!

The apartment was left in very good condition other than the usual wear tear resulting from staying over 3 years. Being an old apartment the entire place was already falling apart but then my entire security deposit was withheld stating that the apartment needed an overhaul from vinyl in the bathroom to redoing the counter tops. In another instance, my laptop also got stolen from the patio.
Terrible customer service! I went by to look at these apartments and I was excited to see the model of the one bedroom. When I got there, the lady only gave me the brochure and said I had to come back to see the model. I said is there a problem that we can't see it now. She responded that since they were technically close and having their Cinco de Mayo celebration she couldn't pull away to show me. My fiancé and I are were excited and considering these apartments, but now we cross it off our list, since we did not feel the welcome from the beginning! Management please work on customer service with your employees!
I've been living at this complex for 3 years and have no complaints. Great friendly office staff & maintenance responds in a quick and timely manner to work orders. Location is conveniently located to Walmart, CVS,HEB, gas stations & places to eat. Major highways (1604, 281 & 410) are all w/in 5 min away and now with Wurzbach Pkwy opening up getting to I-35 will be a short drive as well. Two parks and walking trails are right down the road perfect for these sunny TX days. I would highly recommend Vista Crossing to anyone.
I have a view of deer feeding just across the street. I also get to watch the new babies play and run around with the other deer. I am walking distance to Wal Mart and CVS. All is fairly close to my location. Along with a lot of walking trails that are available nearby. The managers and maintenance are very good at their jobs. I get a very quick response to any maintenance orders, sometimes done on the same day. The grounds are kept clean. There are restaurants close by also as well as movie theaters.
Careful, car got stolen from the front of my unit one time. Lucky we got it back, but security isn't all that great.
