Wellshire is known as one of the city’s best neighborhoods to live in. Wellshire is home to several parks and the Wellshire Golf Course. Wellshire also has bike lanes and trails like the High Line Canal Trail for residents to enjoy. Residents appreciate living just eight miles away from Downtown Denver, but the area feels like a suburban neighborhood. Along with having great schools, Wellshire is adjacent to the University of Denver, so it’s common to see children riding bikes or students and faculty walking to campus. There is a plethora of grocers, casual eateries, bars, and coffee shops located along South University Boulevard and South Colorado Boulevard, so residents have easy access to plenty of shopping and dining options. This sought-after neighborhood has a variety of housing options available including student apartments, modern condos, townhomes, and single-family homes.

Property Ratings at VISTA
Aside from the friendly staff, there are not many positive things to say about this place. Within the six months I lived there, the water was shut off at least 4 times. They overcharge you for parking and for the space you are getting. Our living room/kitchen was smaller than my bedroom; how is that enough space for 3 people? Sink is small, dish washer is small, oven and stove are all small. They advertise blackout curtains but the curtains are not. We ran into multiple maintenance issues (AC multiple times, dish washer, sinks, toilets, etc.). Emails would constantly go unanswered, even when asking about important things like rent. Dog friendly building which I don’t mind but constant dog pee in the elevators or in the lobby. Laundry situation is a nightmare. I bought a drying rack because the dryers DO NOT WORK unless you dry your clothes for like 20 hours. The staff does their best to keep it a friendly place but the building itself is not worth it. Would not recommend.

Convenient location for DU students, walking distance to class, good price for what is included. Really cool patios and you can see downtown Denver and the mountains. Overall, would recommend! Pros: - Private bathrooms for each person -AC! -The staff is friendly and helpful and they give away free food at events Cons: -The kitchen has a dishwasher but it is a little bit small -All of the furniture is included (bed, desk etc.) but you need to get lamps

There’s nothing better than hearing our customers’ positive feedback! Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
I have lived here for going on 2 years and love it!!! The apartments are so affordable for this area of Denver and so spacious. The Vista staff has been especially helpful with any problem that may come up. Would definitely recommend!

We’re happy that you’re happy! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a positive review. We’re so thankful for Vista Denver residents like you.
I just renewed here for a third year in a row & I've really enjoyed it, ESPECIALLY since the new managing company took over. Before they came in, we did experience a irritatingly high number of water shut offs & the furniture was... not great. But literally everything changed for the better SO MUCH once they came in! First thing they did that was AWESOME was renovating all of the apartments & replacing all the old furniture. The couch I moved in to was honestly trash and was constantly flaking every time I sat down on it. The new one they brought in in August is sooooo much nicer, this large leather couch that is so much more comfortable to the point where I actually fall asleep on it fairly often. The stove is so much easier to clean cuz it's flat & electronic, the fridges are wayyy bigger & all the other new furniture is a lot sleeker and makes the place feel a lot fancier & nice. I especially LOVE the entertainment stand under the TV, it looks so nice & has tons of drawers to put stuff like my roommates' switch and it's perfect for having video game systems (which is great cuz I'm strongly considering getting a PS5)! In general, the entire living situation has improved since the new company took over too! I never went to resident events before they did cuz they were pretty infrequent & the ones the old management company hosted honestly just didn't sound very fun. But now, I've been to a ton of them & I've honestly had a blast at every single one. The Halloween party & opening week grocery bingo were highlights for sure, & the Brunch event last week was also so fun (who doesn't want to drink a free mimosa at 10AM lol)! The team at the front desk are super helpful & seem to really care about the residents' well-being. The maintenance guys are also awesome & the few times I've needed a repair in the apartment, they fixed whatever needed fixing within 48 hours of me submitting the work order. Overall, I'm kind of surprised to see how many negative reviews I've seen for Vista cuz it's gotten soooo much better since I started living here in 2022. Highly recommend living here!

Thank you for your positive feedback! Our goal is to continue to provide a great experience. We appreciate you and enjoy having you as a part of our community.
I absolutely love living at Vista. As someone who moved from a different state, I can say that the support from the team is truly admirable. They have been extremely helpful and have gone above and beyond for me. One other thing that I love is how they did renovations over the summer! The brand new furniture, appliances, and countertops are SO nice, and I genuinely think I couldn't have found a better apartment.

Do not move here unless you want to be sick. This property has a serious toxic mold problem, which management is well aware of but has failed to take proper action to remediate. My roommate was delayed 3 days from moving in September, 2016 because wet carpeting needed to be replaced. Towards the end of our lease (June) she noticed mold growing back on her carpet, causing her to live with her boufriend, while I separately submitted 3 service requests for a leaking vent in the living room, right next to the wall of her bedroom where the mold was growing. Management told her that it was a larger plumbing issue that would be too expensive to repair for one unit, and waited until she moved out to replace the carpet and cover the underlying health risks for the new tenants. Meanwhile maintenance was saying that my service requests were being completed even though absolutely nothing was being done. The last couple of months living in the unit I started experiencing respiratory and cognitive issues that subsided within a week of moving out. I would have given the complex a wonderful review if this wilful indifference to tenants health did not come to light, but people (primarily students) need to know what they're signing up for when they move in.
The apartments are spacious enough where the common shared room provides enough space for the residents, but best of all, the rooms are large enough so that you can make it all your own. No shared bathrooms and unclogging a stranger's clump of hair, instead you can just unclog your own hair! Really, the rooms provide enough wall space to hang up as many tapestries as you can wish, you might as well open up a rug shop in them. Close enough to the city but not too much that you get that busy city life, it's the perfect placement in the beautiful city of Denver with Vista's of the mountains right outside the rooftop; you can experience the mountains without having to trail through them.
