The Lake Wales neighborhood, located about 15 miles from downtown Winter Haven, considers itself out of the ordinary, but in a good way. No place defines that more than Spook Hill, where objects actually roll uphill instead of down.
When you have an apartment in Lake Wales, you feel like you live right in the middle of history. The neighborhood has several historic landmarks, including Bok Tower Gardens, a great place to go to relax, and the Depot Museum, which is perfect for railroad enthusiasts.
Of course, when your neighborhood has a lake, that's naturally the main hangout. Lake Wales doesn't disappoint, whether you want to go boating for the day or just cast a line off the fishing pier. If you don't catch anything, you can always have dinner at Crazy Fish Bar & Grill, an eclectic, casual restaurant that fits right in with the rest of the neighborhood.

Property Ratings at Vista Lake Ned
Things I like: — The maintenance for your apartment is fast — Lake Ned is good for fishing — It's close to stores, hospitals, restaurants, and some theme parks Things I don't like: — The main Gate has some problems. It doesn't work half of the time — In warm weather, there are wasp and hornets everywhere — Every year gets more and more expensive. My daughter pay (in Sanford) for a townhouse with 4 bedrooms 3 baths, about the same you pay here for 2 bedrooms, 1 bath. — The pool is small — The water bill is not what you use. It one bill for the whole complex, divided per each individual tenant — Areas like the gym, and dumpster, are so solitary, that you don't feel safe all the time — Lately, they are not taking care of the green areas, leaves, and trash, as they used too — People drive around too fast. They don't respect the 10mph signs Maybe this will sound weird, but even when there are several more bad things that they haven't been able to improve in years, I like living here. The thing is that you will be overpaying for the conditions. Amenities, sport courts, dogs park, and the car wash area, are just an illusion. We are already anxious, because we don't know if we will be able to afford the rent, when the time comes to sign the next contract, because the rent goes up a lot every single year.

It use to be quiet but new neighbors play music loud and parking should be assigned
Apartments with plenty of space and plenty of natural light. Complex with great recreation area, and lovely area for dogs. Very efficient maintenance service.

I love it. The office personnel is friendly, kind, knowledgeable, efficient and yet has the unique finesse to be the best part of “family”.??????
The community is clean and well kept making a great first impression when you drive in. I drove through much of the community on my way to the leasing office giving me a chance to see that many of the buildings and amenities are clean and well kept. The leasing professional made me feel welcome without feeling intrusive and was able to answer all of my questions and understand my concerns.
I would definitely recommend to everyone to live here. Very comfortable & quiet. The office personnel are smart & knowledgeable as are the maintenance guys.
Very quiet, great location, nice amenities, pet friendly, no crime and feel safe, staff made me feel like I was coming home not just renting.
I am glad you are fixing the roof, pressure washing and improving the lawn. The down-spouts still need repair on my porch. I notice better property maintenance overall. I love it here.
Everyone on staff here is absolutely great. Keeps the apt. Complex running smoothly. I would happily recommend anyone to live here.
Thought that the lease rate was just a little too high.
The staff is great..when the staff is on top of everything things get done in a timely fashion..thank you
I would recommend this property for all the above reasons. I understand not everything can be perfect in these communities but the staff is always on top of it and the community is quiet.
I would recommend this apartment community. The staff and personal are professional and will help you in a timely manner.
It was nice and quiet but them some people moved into the building that were loud and always smoking outside. I was already moving out at that point though. The price was the biggest factor.
This was a great place to live. It was always quiet and the office staff was always nice and courteous. The maintenance staff was always quick and efficient and I really enjoyed living there.
Bryan and Johnathan did an excellent job. They were in and out during that day, and had they not left a note, we wouldn't have even known they were there.
From my experience, Cathy was a great help. She did a awesome job very attentive. She is the reason why I would recommend this apartment complex. But on the other note. The carpet that’s by my laundry room is tearing up. I did put in a request when I first moved in. But I think they forgot. I just do not want to get charge for it. Also the bottom of the oven drawer is broke. But overall I am enjoying my apartment. Thanks again Cathy.
Seems very safe, has really cute apartments, awesome people, and great amenities!
I love everything about Madison Lake Ned but the monthly rent has only continued to go up since I began leasing here. I understand the rent fluctuates based on market prices but some sort of incentive should be given to those residents who stay longer than their original lease!
I would recommend Madison at Lake Ned because the quality of professionalism that the ladies in the office generate; while answering or replying to any requests I may have as a tenant. It is apparent that they are quick to react to all necessary actions required. They always do it with a smile, and the guys are totally professional when doing any job I’ve requested since living here.
Great staff. Very competent. I would gladly recommend anyone to live here. The whole staff is very knowledgeable & personable.
I give my candid critique because I love it here and want to contribute to a positive improvement. I like all the personnel both in the office and outside and would recommend living here to all.
We are moving here because it seems quiet and peaceful, exactly what w're looking for
The environment is so postitive. The community is quiet. Ther's a lot of things to do here and most of all the staff. If it wasn't for them being so welcoming and friendly I don't know if I would be here this long. This place is home!
Over all I feel safe and comfortable in the this community. I feel that they need security cameras in the fitness room. It seems to be a major area of vandalism. I would not feel safe in going in there at night.
One of the best based on the 3 others in the area I toured, but certainly not extraordinary.
Rent is high and there is not enough storage space in apartment.
Beautiful Spacious Apts, w/d and laundry room, kitchen, dining area, lr, 2 bath, 3 nice br, spacious closets, beautiful.landscape, 24 hr gym, pool with cabanas, 24 hr maintenance, fishing dock, play froind, tennis & basket ball court, volley ball. Car wash area, storage, garages for rent, and beautiful area. Very close to everything but having the privacy and quiet area. We love it here and highly recommend.
The size is great. Big walk in closets, open spaced kitchen and living room. I have never heard a neighbor next to me or above me. Great pool, gym and community center!
Great area. Close to necessary stores. Big and open apartment. Community center is great.
