Property Ratings at Vista Oeste
A coworker of my ex-husband and a post office clerk I knew had lived at Vista Oeste and said they loved it here! I spoke with Sylvia, the manager (who's been managing these apartments for 18 yrs) and she was so very personable, helpful and yet still very professional with the paperwork and getting moved in -and that didn't stop after moving in -the manager is always receptive and open to conversation. I finally found an apartment I can truly call home! The maintenance man, Raul, has been here longer than the mgr and keeps everything up in tiptop shape. The few problems I have had have been taken care of immediately or within a day, depending on the urgency. I love the floorplan and the covered patio with a small back yard. The neighbors are friendly and the couple of complaints I've had have been taken care of through the manager. I can't imagine anyone who prefers to live in an apartment not liking it here. I don't have any children living near me, only 2 other single women and 1 single man in my building. I can hear footsteps sometimes upstairs, but nothing else upstairs or on either side. I just wish I could've found this place sooner!
The apartments at Vista Oeste are located in the west side of El Paso and feel like you are living in the mountains, with all the evergreen trees. The apartments and the complex is clean and managed very well.
Have been a resident at Vista Oeste for 4 years now. I have had good experiences with the maintenance staff, as they are polite and fix issues in a timely manner when needed during the week. However, they do not attend to anything over weekends, including emergencies like a broken toilet. The office manager is a bit curt, but professional. The walls and ceiling are pretty thin, so if you are not accostomed to hearing noises of your neighbor's daily lives it may be annoying, but if you have lived in apts before your white noice machine will cover most normal noise. If you end up in a 1st floor apt under a family with several children this could be a problem though. The residents there are generally friendly if you are. It also seems quite safe in general. Only 2 incidents since I have lived there, once a person broke into some cars to steal items & radios, and he was caught due to residents as witnesses. the other was a few teenagers who walked thru the parking lot and spraypainted some vehicles. Not sure if they were caught or not. There have not been any break ins or injuries due to any crimes. Overall, a decent place. Grounds are clean an maintained well.
