Property Ratings at Vistas at Plum Creek
i rented from vistas at plum creek for 2 years and i can reassure you they are the worst. The units are falling apart, if you have a maintenance request they take their sweet ol' time or dont show up. if you try to get in contact with the office they never answer or never there. they will charge you for things such as "a dent in the door" that was there before you moved in or falsely accuse you of things such as a dog that was not suppose to be there yet you turned in your paper work for the dog to be there months ago. if you tell them the dog no longer lives with you they will continue to charge you for the dog and act like they never was told and still not fix it. On another note, there was a fire on the 3rd floor and we were all evacuated. My unit smelled like smoke and was hard to breath in it even after the fire was put out. i called the front office (several times before i got ahold of someone) and asked if they were going to do anything to help us out for instance get a hotel room or compensate us and they just told us its not their responsibility and just to open the windows and let it air out. they have no remorse they just want money. i had a couple pets die due to that fire and they charged me (after moving out) for damages to the property yet there was non, so they kept my security deposit and charged me extra. they are the worst to rent from, anything and everything will be your fault and you will have to pay big bucks to even leave their facility. save your time and effort and go somewhere else, like the Bluffs.
Property Manager at Vistas at Plum Creek, Responded To This Review
We are sad to see you hold such a low perception of our community at this time, Julianna. Our goal is always to provide maintenance services in a timely manner. All resident requests are addressed in the order in which they are received, with priority given to more urgent repairs. We're sorry this was not your experience. Additionally, we strive to be transparent with residents regarding potential fees. Ultimately, charges are dependent upon the condition of the items in your home after move-out. If you feel the charges are incorrect or if you have questions about your time with us, we would be happy to speak with you directly.
These apartments are falling apart and haven’t been fixed since the 70s by admission of the staff. When something goes wrong, it’s is like pulling teeth to get it fixed. It took over two months to get someone to replace a shower handle and I am currently being told a climate control problem will take UNTIL NEXT YEAR to complete. Absolutely abysmal living conditions I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy; save yourself and live somewhere else.
Absolutely disgusting! I found a ton of mold in my dishwasher they obviously have never cleaned it out. My son and I kept getting sick and come to find out our dishes have been washed in this mold over and over. I haven’t even lived here long and it’s problem after problem. The outlets don’t even work in the bathrooms and i have asked them to fix it 3 times now and they still haven’t. My son cut his foot open on a nail that is sticking out on the patio. We had to put a bunch of rugs down because nails are sticking up everywhere. The staff never answers the phone it’s so hard to get ahold of them I recently moved in and had troubles getting ahold of someone so I could pick up my keys. Very disappointed. I do NOT recommend this place.
Barking Dogs, thin walls and parking lot is an ice field.
I lived in a top floor apartment of Vistas at Plum Creek for one year, don't let the slick filtered photos fool you; this building is old, walls are paper thin and dogs bark constantly. Even if they say there is a policy against barking dogs, they do nothing about it. I'm a disabled combat veteran and told them about my issues with loud noises and barking dogs for months, they would email me back stating; you shouldn't have to deal with this or we're sorry about that. They would do nothing about it. I gave them months to fix it and moved out per my doctors orders. Good luck in the parking lot/sidewalks, they never clear it correctly in the winter and its and ice field. Circle around until you find an unmark parking spot and enjoy the views/smells of the trash that constantly builds up outside dumpster. If you like all of that above then; the pool is the nicest in this price range out of 10 apartments I checked out in the area, views can be good if you get the right apartment.
From day one to now 2 years in and I just signed up for my third year. Absoutley great staff, thank you Brett, Christine and everyone who helps keep our community going. Nothing but a nice group of people. As far as the location, I love the valley that is right across from us to see in the morning and sunset. We have amazing views of the mountains and the community is great neighbor to neighbor. Make sure to put this on the list if you are planning a move to Castle Rock. - Robert Duval
If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not rent from here! Staff is very unfriendly and unprofessional. Since we moved in in December we have had one issue after another. There are nicer places to live in Castle Rock for the same price!!
I recently moved in at Rolling Hills. Moving from Colorado Springs to Castle Rock, my rent increased while my square footage shrank, but that's the nature of Douglas County right now. Aside from the size, the apartment isn't bad. The kitchen has plentiful storage space, though closet storage elsewhere is a bit tight. The fireplace is a great touch, and the place is fully equipped with all the needed appliances, including full size washer/dryer and dishwasher. My personal interactions with staff have been pleasant, but the water heater in my building broke about a week after I moved in, and it wasn't fixed for four days. Office and maintenance staff are impossible to reach on weekends, even with building emergencies. That's definitely my biggest complaint. Overall, it's a quiet neighborhood with nice people who generally keep to themselves. Some neighbors let their dogs walk around off-leash, which I don't like because then my dog freaks out, but I'm living with it. The pool is nice, but no hot tub. The fitness center is also pretty well updated. Great location in Castle Rock with an easy drive to anywhere you want to go but far enough from busy areas that it feels like the middle of nowhere. I recommend it for someone who needs to live in Douglas County for under $1000/month. If you can stretch your budget to $1200 or so, however, I recommend shopping around.
Rolling hills is an affordable complex in castle rock. In a city that is booming and prices are soaring, you can't beat the location. Good staff that takes care of my problems as fast as possible.
Just another overprice outdated lack Luster apartment in castle Rock. Nothing gets fixed right and eveything is kinda scummy
Very nice apartments. I like the peacefull community,
