Northeast outer Elkhorn comprises mostly subdivisions that provide residents with the type of tranquility that you expect living in a remote rural town in western Nebraska.
Yet, a quick drive east on U.S. Highway 6 brings you to the doorstep of some of the best restaurants and nightlife found in the entire area. Elkhorn receives statewide recognition for running one of the highest-rated school districts in the state. By taking a 10-mile drive, you can reach downtown Omaha to the east and Two Rivers State Recreational Area to the west.

I’ve been pretty happy overall with my time at Vue 156. The maintenance is always responsive and the office has little gatherings monthly with the tenants.

If you are considering moving into this apartment complex, I advise you to proceed with caution based on my experience. While the previous manager, Emily, was a pleasant person to work with, the management has since gone downhill. Once you sign your lease, the level of service and care you will receive is far from satisfactory. Furthermore, the current office staff is extremely rude, and their disrespectful behavior towards tenants is unacceptable. Living here has been a mistake, which is why I am writing this review to help other prospective tenants avoid the same experience that I had. The rent for this complex is quite expensive, and I do not believe the price justifies the quality of the complex nor the service provided. I do not recommend it to anyone, as the living conditions do not meet basic expectations. I submitted my move-out notice thirty days in advance but received no response from the management. Additionally, no move-out inspection was conducted in my unit. Despite numerous attempts to contact the office staff and address my concerns, I received no replies and was left without communication. In summary, my stay at this complex has been terrible. Take my advice, and do not make the same mistake. You deserve a better living situation and experience.

Lived here for a 15 month lease and it was the worst apartments I have stayed at. It may look nice from first glance but in reality everything is so cheap and falls apart. First of all, our garbage disposal clogged up and maintenance came without their own tools and asked to use our toilet plunger to unclog it, how unprofessional. Second the drywall in a couple different spots started to crack due to lack of settling when building the complex. They came and painted over the spots and forgot to paint one of the cracks. Second, our shower handle decided to completely fall off as if it was never glued in the first place. Third, the walls are so thin and no privacy whatsoever, you can hear every word people are saying from the hallways so noise complaints aren’t uncommon. Even regular talking is loud from the halls. If you have roommates be prepared to feel like you have no space to yourself because there is at least an inch of space between the floor and the bottom of the door. We also had issues of water pouring in from the windows and door during heavy rain. Our windows would freeze over when it got cold out due to major drafts in every room. It would never stay the temperature you want because of those drafts. Neighbors are rude and do not make you feel welcome there. You pay for a “luxury apartment” but get no benefits from that. There are 0 amenities for residents, such as lack of a pool, the gym is as small as your living room, a community area for residents to use. Not to mention the lack of parking spots when it was full. I would have to park clear at the end of the second building when I lived in the first building. You can get way better space for your money at any other apartment complex. Do not waste your time looking here.
