Property Ratings at Vue
Pros: decent square footage for the price, good response times to maintenance requests, full size washer and dryer, good amount of storage, package lockers, lots of good UberEats options in the area, close to the hwy, short drive to lots of cool places, big kitchen Cons: There is dog poop all over the property including the dog park, despite several waste bag dispensers. Mgmt does nothing about it. There is often trash scattered about the grounds, which I can understand due to frequent high winds, but is there a groundskeeper? Not sure. The kitchen sink is one of those half-size, two compartment types that you’d expect in a cheaper place with a smaller kitchen. The dishwasher is weirdly small especially on the top rack. The bathtub is tiny, and so is the single stall shower in the master bath. Like, barely enough room to turn around in. It’s not really in convenient walking distance of anything fun downtown or in the east village. 15-20 minutes’ walk at least to get anywhere. It’s doable, but not convenient. This may be a con for some, but I’m used to noisy cities: it’s very loud here. Teenagers (I hope) racing their cars down 9th, helicopters and ambulances coming and going from Methodist, your neighbors, etc. It seems as if the walls here are thin, relative to other places I’ve lived. If you don’t have a pet, don’t care what the grounds look like, have a car, work nearby, and don’t mind noise, this would be a decent place for you. If you want a more walkable location, I’d recommend going further into downtown or into the Village.
The parking is awful and good luck having any guests as they have a tow truck waiting for your guests to go inside. There are vehicles that haven’t moved in the parking lot for months. The residents don’t pick up there dog crap. So it’s like a mine field in both dog areas. The only good thing about this place is the view and that’s only if you have an apartment facing downtown which are few. Many other better options. Parking is the biggest problem. Management asked for my review to win a gift card so I probably won’t win that but figured the general public should know what they are getting into before renting.

If one of your guests was unfairly towed, please contact our offices immediately to see if we can help resolve - vue@hubbellrealty.com. We know parking can be tricky which is why we work with residents on garages, etc. reporting to ensure all open spaces are available. Also, contact our office next time you notice dog waste and we can have the DNA tested to issue a violation to the resident who decided to litter. Again, we'd like to improve your experience while you are here.
Checked out dozens of apartments before the Vue, but immediately fell in love with the rooftop patio. Plus it had everything else we were looking for: high-ceilings; in-unit washer and dryer; two bedroom/two bath; gym; and underground parking. We love it! But even better, the staff here is amazing- they make it feel like home.

Super spacious floor plan. I live in a corner unit with 3 bedrooms and the shared living space is giant. Washer, dryer, and fridge are all new and in great condition. The rooms have walk-in closets and button controlled ceiling fans and lights with varying settings for both (like TEN settings on the light brightness and the fan speed). I hope to live here for the next few years. Perfect for new college grads who want something nice, affordable, social, and walking distance to downtown scene.

These apartments are gorgeous, the amenities are nice, and the staff go above and beyond for the residents! Not to mention, the VIEWS! I love hanging on the rooftop with friends, visiting the dog park, and taking in the wraparound views.
Super nice, spacious floor plan; especially compared to other apartments in the downtown area. Convenient location. Friendly residents & great rooftop perfect for grilling and hanging out!
This apartment complex has the greatest views of north Des Moines. If you have a pet the dog park is perfect! Need a little work our time? Don’t worry the gym is 24 hour accessible! Great overall apartment with the best bang for your buck!
I have really enjoyed my experience here at the Vue! The Vue (view) truly is incredible and the location downtown is perfect. The neighborhood is peaceful but just minutes away from the vibrant part of downtown! The building itself is well constructed with very nice appliances!
High ceilings, exposed vents give the additional 2 feet of ceiling space and that "loft" feeling. Variety of layouts, good move in special. They offer the ability to do 6 month as well (with an additional fee). Several free monthly activities for residents, nice rooftop patio, and walkable to downtown without the traffic of downtown. Parking could be better.
Awesome location, within walking distance of court ave and even east village through the Women's Achievement Bridge. The amenities are brand new and work great! Apartments are spacious with lots of natural light. The staff and neighbors are friendly, which is an added bonus. I definitely recommend!
Vue has a great group of staff, and the apartments are great! It's an awesome location, just minutes from downtown, and also near two college campuses which is great for students! The buildings are well maintained and cleaned often, and there is a 24/7 gym with is nice as well!
This location is fantastic for going downtown and having fun! There is great staff who are very helpful. The building is clean, parking is easy, and there are workout facilities on site. I would very much recommend this company if you are looking!

Great location for those who want to live downtown but work in WDM or other surrounding areas - easy access the interstate! The staff has been very friendly. Amenities are fabulous and I love the layout and design of the apartments as well. My only complaint is the parking now that the east side of the street is a no parking zone, but they have a garage available if you want to pay extra.
The apartment is great. The only issue I have had is the parking. They need tags so non-residents don't take all the parking.

Has great floor plans! Very spacious. The office staff are really helpful and friendly. Has great new amenities and haven’t had any problems.
We are so happy with our experience at vue. Jon has been so helpful in our first months as residents! The amenities are great and the accessibility to everything in the area is unmatched. The only inconvenience we have experienced is parking. They have three larger buildings and not nearly enough spaces to accommodate everyone’s cars. However, after all is said and done we are so happy to live here.
The staff at VUE Apartments goes above and beyond to make sure their residents are taken care of! Great workout facility and amazing views not only from the apartments themselves but also the rooftop. The elevators are very large making it easy to move big items such as furniture to your apartment. Free street and lot parking as well!
This apartment has been great so far! Management has been very responsive to any and all questions or concerns. Brand new apartments with all updated appliances. The community room and rooftop hangout are definitely a plus. Also super close distance to downtown restaurants and bars!
