Staff is very unorganized and nobody knows what they are doing.
Coming into the property I notice how clean it was, which is a plus for me. I walked into the office and was greeted immediately. I received all information I needed and was given a tour of a one bedroom which looked great. Thank you for the great customer service Ilsa. I believe she was a manager.

Did not enjoy living here for 2 years. Having a middle apartment, you will hear your neighbors from all sides- both adjacent, top, and bottom. Management does not adequately communicate with residents; sends emails updating residents of situations after they have occurred. People test your door at night to see if it's unlocked.

How much do you like the smell of rotting sun baked garbage wafting through the entire complex? Some how calling the front office made it worse.After talking to the lady in the office i would have rather gone swimming in the dumpster. Disingenuous is one word you could use. Completely incompetent and it shows with her every word. If you wanted an adult in charge this is not the place to come.

Inside the apartments are old with painted over previous person paint job. 1970s style fridge and stove, dishwasher is old as well. Love the maintenance guy don't like the complex. Neighbors loud music till 4am on a work day. No parking available ever. Complex next door jumping fence to get in this one. Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I Love it here!?? I've been here for 7 years. It's quiet, clean and well maintain. Whenever I have an issue with the Villa, maintenance comes ASAP. The grounds are kept and the lawn is maintained weekly. My only hope is that one day, they'll decide to allow us to use the exercise room for free.?? On Valentines Day, I won a bag of goodies for my pet, dog, Lex Luther. He loved them. Now, what complex do you know that will buy treats for your dog? None!!! But they did here at the "Vue on Medlock." Yes, I recommend living here!

PROBLEMS FROM DAY ONE Do not move here!!!!! I would not recommend this place to anyone after all the issues I’ve had, only living here for 5 months so far!!!! Before I even moved in, I was promised something different from what I was shown. I asked for my application money back and that’s when they said “we’ll renovate it for you for an extra $100 a month”. I really needed a place so I accepted. Come move in day, it wasn’t even fully ready and even though they renovated it, they did not change the counter tops which I was told would also be apart of the renovations but I didn’t say anything else since I was just so ready to move in with my baby. They also didn’t install the drawers in the kitchen correctly because one day my daughter pulls open one of the drawers and the front part comes off, thankfully didn’t land on her, but had to be fixed! The majority of my electrical outlets throughout the apartment were also very loose and had to be fixed. My AC unit stopped working in hot July and they also had to come fix that. My BIGGEST and current issue with them... I have had the exterminator come at least FOUR times and I am about to call again for a FIFTH VISIT. I am paying for pest control with my monthly rent so when I noticed many cockroaches, ants, and spiders of course I called them so the exterminator they have can come. I am a VERY CLEAN person and on top of that, barely spend time at home to even make a mess, so I am not causing these bugs to be in my home. After every exterminator visit, I have called the office to let them know whatever the exterminator is using IT IS NOT WORKING. Each time they respond saying “I will let him know” or “I am noting that down” YET nothing has changed!!!!! My last straw and what motivated me to finally write this review, is that my bed had ants all over it when I just washed my sheets earlier this morning and haven’t even been in my bed again to “dirty” it. This is RIDICULOUS!!!! I have a 1 year old daughter who could easily touch one of these bugs out of curiosity. This is unacceptable. Save yourself the headache and find another apartment in the area. UPDATE: I called to express my issues and concerns and they did not show any care at all and said I have to wait another week for the exterminator. Once again saying the same thing “I will note it down.” Yet no real actions being taken. Highly disappointed.
I have lived here for 3 years and have been very happy with the Lis and the rest of the easing office, Manny's SUPER quick maintenance team, and my low rental rate. If I have a special concern, it may take some time, but they always go above and beyond to get back to me. I do live in a classic unit but it's cozy and quiet. My neighbors are friendly. It's close to 141 and Trader Joe's at the forum. I have everything that I need close by. Happy resident here :)
I've been here about five or six years and I can honestly say, I don't have any complaints about this place. It's very quiet, the grounds are kept well or at least they used to be it's not as neat as it used to be but still pretty good there are some areas that could use some work, but that's not too important. I don't have roaches, I might see one or two every now and then but that's it, that alone is a plus, plus, plus for me! The staff is very nice and helpful. When I went through a rough time and I was late on my rent and they worked with me, I will always be grateful to them for that! Now I have a good job and will be upgrading to a larger apartment. I don't know about the other complaints on here but, I haven't experienced any of that, my experience has been wonderful and I have lived in other apartments where that was not the case. Well, they do charge for the fitness center but I don't use it anyway and maybe that will change soon. My neighbors are all friendly and hard working people like me, and that's who mostly live here, hard-working people! Oh and the maintenance crew they are awesome and so cool!
It was a place to lay my head, but that's about it. If you stay here, simply hope that you're always able to make your payments exactly on time, or else. I've stayed at other apartments and they always were willing to work with you on a late payment, only resorting to legal action as a last resort after significant, two-way communication. Not here. Legal action is threatened early and often. Over-all the apartments are crumby. I couldn't use half the outlets in my apartment. My computer and TV would just stop working for no reason. Breakers were never tripped. Put in several work requests. Always the same response: "reset the breaker." The issue persisted for two years. I had a light and a phone/tablet charger hooked-up in the bedroom and another floor lamp in the table area. No other outlets worked throughout the apartment for the better part of two years. Nothing was done about it. There's no regular pest treatment. Roaches abound after new neighbors moved in. The people above me had dogs that made constant racket throughout the night. Myself and other neighbors complained multiple times and nothing was ever done. I wondered why they made me sign a two year lease when I looked at the apartments originally. It threw up some red flags then-and-there. Now I know why I had uneasy feelings and wish I had listened to them. Do yourself a favor, unless you have nowhere else, stay away.
I have been a resident of Medlock Woods for almost 2 years. I must say I have no complaints. When I first moved in, there was a mishap with my air conditioner but since then, I have honestly had no issues. Friendly staff, Manny the maintenance guy is very helpful, too. I would recommend making this place your home!
When I first moved in everyone was nice. they said there were going to build a gym. When they did they asked that you give them an extra $10 a month to use it! About 5 months later my car was stolen from right in front of my apartment, When I told them, they said. "cars get stolen." And did not even express empathy. about 3 months after that, after new neighbor moved in roaches begin to appear. When I submitted a work order for it. someone came, but the issue still persist. I gave them 2 stars because maintenance comes when you call them., However there is NO regular insect prevention like in most apartments.
