National publications constantly place Pittsburgh near the top of the list for most livable cities in America, and it’s easy to see why. The city has a rich history as an industrial and economic hub, which led to the construction of many grand buildings and public sculptures which still stand today. Downtown in particular is rich with beautifully preserved buildings and lush public parks dating back well over a century, giving the entire community a timeless atmosphere.
Pittsburgh is split into three sections by the rivers passing through the city: Downtown (a.k.a. “The Golden Triangle), the North Side, and the South Side. Each has its fair share of attractions and landmarks: the North Side is home to Acrisure Stadium and PNC Park (making it a perfect area for sports fans), the South Side features big, beautiful greenways and refurbished steel mills, and Downtown is where you’ll find the most variety in dining, nightlife, and entertainment.

Property Ratings at Waldorf Park Apartments
Every single time I’ve had a minor issue with my apartment the staff responded quickly and got it taken care of. Even the times I expressed it wasn’t pressing and no need to rush. Just today I put in a request around 10 am because my thermostat was giving me trouble, Tim came in around 1 and got it taken care of super quickly. I’ve been renting from this company for 2 1/2 years and haven’t had a bad experience yet.
I’m really not one to leave reviews but this is the second one I’ve made about this complex because it’s THAT bad. Previously, the issue was repairs and the lack there of. Now, they’re deciding to renovate the pool and “club house” right before summer and failed to let tenants know that they will not have a pool this summer. This is my 3rd year here and honestly every year it gets worse. Not only am I paying an extra $250 a month for a short term lease but I’m still being charged my regular monthly rate. I specifically asked before resigning if the pool and clubhouse would be open and was told yes (I have this in an email) and then I am told it won’t be open. This place constantly has so many issues. I’ll never recommend it to anyone. My friend was also moving out of her unit and was contacted multiple times about them showing up last minute to tour her apartment with less than a 10 minute notice and then never even showed.
This property is convenient to lots of things and the parkway. Our maintenance guy Steve is the best person for this job. He never lets you down and goes above and beyond the normal job description. He is the main reason we have lived here for 5 years and would greatly miss his smiling face if he were to leave. The office staff is very helpful also.
Steve the maintenance professional has been wonderful since I started living here 4 years ago. He is friendly, helpful, and does a lot for the complex. I constantly see him working on something throughout the week making sure everything is up to par. He has fixed things in my apartment as well. He is super nice to everyone including the pups! I appreciate all that he does for us!
Walls are paper thin, you can hear the thoughts of people walking by your apt. Constant power loss issues especially after or during any storm. Rent is systemically increased each year. I bought a house and moved out by the last day of my lease and was told i broke my lease so i have to forfeit my deposit. Then when we deep cleaned the appliances and bathroom they said it was never cleaned and is filthy and will bill me for a recleaning. When told that i will need an itemizedlist of what was cleaned, the reason and what methods used they got agitated and tried to guilt and chastize me for moving out at my lease end "without notice" despite not renewing along with how they have to hire a cleaning crew to reclean the already clean apartment. I was warned this would happen by 3 other tennents as they moved out this past year. I would not recommend this place unless you like cramped living and poor dealings when you leave. P.S. I lived next to where they dump things from renovating. Each apt gets gutted when tennants move out, and i know they throw out the counters and appliances. So technically cleaning is a moot point but i did it anyway.
Great place to live. Maintenance staff(Steve) is awesome. Drawer in fridge was breaking and he temporarily fixed it for us, and said as soon as one was available he would bring it up. Next day I found one left outside the front door. Thanks again Steve!
I don't know about the other Lobos locations but the staff at Waldorf Apartment is wonderful and goes beyond the scope of any requests I have made. Just recently Steve was in to fix the bathroom sink stopper. I wanted a new faucet and actually had purchased (my decision) one. He installed the faucet even though he had a number of other tasks to complete. Thanks Steve!
Very nice affordable place to live. The leasing staff are friendly and helpful and Steve In maintenance always takes care of any issues you may have quickly and effectively!
Warning to anyone looking to move... *Waldorf Apartments* McKnight Circle- Abysmal, pathetic, shameful, disgusting. Unit was not clean prior to our move in. Air unit was full of mold and bugs. Furnace room was exposed to the elements, in pieces, and inoperable through winter months. We had to heat our apartment with two space heaters after countless requests for them to repair our furnace... $250+/ month to keep our unit above 65 degrees. We continued to pay rent after we moved out. We threatened a code inspector due to all of the neglect and the moment we removed our belongings from the unit, they gutted the furnace room. A little too late now that’s effected our health... hundreds of dollars in visits and meds to treat effects of living in the filth this management allows for their residents. Laundry units have either a broken washer or dryer... and if you find one that turns on, pray it actually does it’s job. Emergency services are not responsive. Repairs are half hearted and sloppy. Maintenance is lack luster all around. Leasing office employees are bitter and have no patience. Parking lots are waiting to swallow your car whole and wreck your suspension. No one has abided by covid guidelines- community room occupied most nights through wild hours of the evening, staff lacks masking up, gatherings of coffee hand outs amidst a pandemic... reported to better business borough. Reported to county inspectors. Plastered all over social media. Absolutely deplorable. Do not dare dump your hard earned money into such filth. Lobos and all parties associated should be ashamed of themselves!
The majority of the year it's great, but the company that plows the snow does a terrible job and you can barely park.
Came here because my job transferred me from Anaheim, CA to Pittsburgh. Was looking for something upscale close to the city, but not too far out. A colleague of mine recommended the complex to me. I was able to sign on for a one year lease in a renovated apartment for around $760 a month. They have a gym here too which is great because I had a membership at home, and this will save me a few dollars. Staff was kind to me.
I had a week to find an apartment due to unforeseen circumstances. The staff at Waldorf Park, made my apt. hunting experience so easy and painless. They walked me through every step of the process, and were very courteous and professional along the way. I found the amenities and the beautiful setting everything that I needed in a place to call home.
The staff of this complex are so unprofessional. During the winter, the roads and sidewalks are never salted to the point that people slide and crash on the hill. Repairs never come in time and the office people don't know how to do their jobs. Something was stolen from our storage locker and the staff didn't even pretend to care. It is very over priced for the service and amenities. Run away from this place.
