Property Ratings at Walker Springs Apartments
When we first moved in the rent was reasonable and over time it’s almost doubled with more amenities being broken each year and hardly any rules followed by tenants. There’s always loud cars in the parking lot and people blasting the bass so loud it shakes your apartment. Also the floors and walls are thin. You can feel when someone slams their door in the apartment behind you and feel them walking and hear everything. The walls being thin is the lesser of the two. Also, a lead paint clause has to be signed when you move in. We enjoyed the time we had here but the cost was not worth it for the lack of upkeep. Also cockroaches will happen but pest control is a plus. Maintenance and staff are super nice.
I'm not really sure who wrote this page. There isn't a picnic area and there's a no grill rule. So grilling isn't an option. There's no carwash area. There is areas to play with your dog, however it isn't fenced. There is no fire walls, so if one catches fire it spreads very quickly. Get renters insurance and have an emergency plan! Lock your vehicle's. Do not leave any valuables in them, they will get broken into. The sundeck pool has been closed for probably over a year now. There is a small pool attached to the office, however it's usually overcrowded and a lot of people swim in regular clothes, socks Included.
This was my first apartment living alone from any friends or family. I started out in a 1BD, and it was really great. Our 1 year lease came up and we decided to lease a 2BD. Long story short, we should have just stayed in the 1BD and dealt with everything. What attracted us to this place was the great management; right before we signed out 1st lease, new management took over and everything went down hill. We should have just moved somewhere else after our lease was up. We thought the 2BD was so great during the walk-through that we decided to sign another lease. Ever since we moved in to our new place, nothing but problems (and we've only been there 3 months). We had plumbing issues that arose within the first 2 weeks. When maintenance came to fix it, we received a call from the property manager that there was a bigger problem. A bit problem as in we had to stay in a hotel for 4 nights while they were ripping up our floors. When we came back, everything went back to normal... for about a week and a half. Then more plumbing issues. Then they "resolve it" and it's good for a few days and them more issues. That has continued for the entirety of our 3 months already. And every time we call management to com fix it, they are always inconvenience by us and our call. Management keeps saying "I told you all to not put cat litter down your toilet."...but we haven't, we never have. that's just stupid. And then management says they have photo evidence of cat litter in our toilet. Now let me say, management hardly ever comes to the apartments, it's always just the maintains people. So essentially management it trying to get us to pay for the plumbing issues they're refusing to fix. But besides management, still a very bad place. There are constant spiders in our 2BD, don't know how they get in. And we're still seeing them even after pest control has came and only sprayed around the front of our apartment. Never would reccomend this apartment to anyone!
This was my first apartment and for the first few months it was tolerable but as soon as the management changed everything went down the drain. We contacted maintenance multiple times to get our heat to work in the winter we were threatened to be evicted when we missed our first payment and then they posted to our door saying we hadn’t paid rent even though we walked down to them days before a cashier check to them. Very unprofessional and the worst place to live. The only appeal is that we were able to bring our dog. I’d give no stars if I could to represent how bad the management and apartment is.
I lived here for a month until it burned down. (Due to an electrical fire) Not only did I lose everything I had, the staff acted like I was an inconvenience to them because I had questions. They continue to talk about the million dollars of damage the fire caused. Not that they cared that I just lost everything I had, MY FIRST APARTMENT. I had the clothes on my back that’s it. This place is ran by VERY rude inconsiderate people. One month on a one year lease, and I had to THREATEN TO GET A LAWYER just to get my $600 dollar pet fee. One month and will always regret living there.
