Property Ratings at Wallburg Landing
My wife and I first moved here in mid-June of 2016. Even though our rent was going to run roughly $200.00 more per month in comparison to the 30+ year-old apartment complex we were moving from, we were drawn to Wallburg Landing's rural location, which still puts us within 10-20 minutes of several of the surrounding cities--High Point, Thomasville, Kernersville, Winston Salem, & Midway, just to name a few. An unexpected bonus for us came with our very first utility bill. Here we were, enjoying approximately 300 more square feet of living space here for considerably less than we had been paying to heat and cool our former apartment, making our relocation seem much like moving from coach to first-class in the amenities made available to us. We still enjoy the benefit of very reasonable utility costs to this day due to the apartments being so well insulated. We have always found the office staff, as well as the maintenance staff, to be very attentive to any of our needs along with being just as quick to respond to those needs as they arise. In addition to their quick response when called upon, we are constantly witnessing first-hand the re-investment of our rental fees right back into keeping the property well-maintained and beautifully manicured. Not only is the property well taken care of, but my wife and I have found it to be a relatively quiet community as well. One would be hard-pressed to find another property in this area that is as appealing to the senses as this one is.
This is a well-maintained community with excellent staff and a lightning fast maintenance crew. In the nearly 3.5 years I have lived here I have had nothing but great service and consummate professionalism at every turn. Patty runs a tight ship and the results are evident.
We love it here so far. Some of the negative reviews are correct. The walls are very paper thin (you can hear absolutely everything from the apartments directly around you). It can become annoying to hear everything your neighbors are saying and doing. The area is safe and staff is friendly and helpful. Maintenance does an amazing job of keeping the grounds clean. The pool is wonderful. I have no complaints other than the thin walls, but the material used to build most apartments now are not top-notch. A little soundproofing material would make these apartments ideal in my opinion.

I have lived here for almost 5 years. During this time the office staff has been incredibly helpful and kind. The maintenance staff has been prompt and considerate. They keep the complex very clean and neat. I have recommended this complex to other family members that are considering moving to NC.

Hi, thank you for the amazing feedback. We're thrilled you feel this way! Please let us know if you need anything and we hope you have a good day.
We have lived at Wallburg Landing for 6 months and have really enjoyed it here. It is very quiet with great places to walk dogs. We have had to use maintenance once and they were prompt and thorough. The location is close to several good restaurants and also close to WS, Kernersville, and HP.

Thank you for the amazing review and feedback. We're glad you're enjoying it here!
I’ve been living at Wallburg Landing for three years and for those three years I’ve been happy. My only gripe has nothing to do with management or maintenance it has to do with my neighbors who will not pick up their dog poop. Be considerate and pick up after your pet.

Thank you for choosing Wallburg Landing for the last three years! We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience!
The staff is okay but the apartments are old and need way more upkeep than they provide. The demographics of people who live here are mostly young single people therefore it's very noisy at all hours of the day. The staff does nothing about this. I wish I had been warned before moving in.
The apartments are very nice but the customer service level that the ladies have in the office is uncalled for and very unprofessional. No one returns your phones calls or emails. They will walk up to your doors and knock on them and when your dog barks they call you to complain. I will not teach my dog not to bark when someone comes up to my door in the day time. If it was night time, I would be more understanding. They approach situations in a rude manner. They are disrespectful and demeaning. I have never lived anywhere where I have had this bad of an experience.
After being a resident for over four years and dealing with increasing rent prices every year I was denied the special of one month fee rent for extended lease renewal that is pretty much industry standard and told "if you want to give your thirty days that's fine". I would caution anyone who is thinking about moving here to reconsider as the new management is terrible and completely rude.

Hi and thank you for your feedback. We appreciate it! We encourage you to stop by or schedule an appointment with our office to discuss this issue further. Have a great day!
Moved in about a year ago. Everything was ok, I really loved the amenities and the neatness of the place. The office staff were nice and maintenance came to fix anything that was broken in a timely manner. About 5 months I discovered that our clothing, shoes bags and suitcases had all grown mold. I was shocked because I have never had this issue before. We took pictures and informed management about and we were told they will discuss it and get back to us. The property manager whom we were dealing with at the time left and a new one took over. They later came to put a vent on top of the closet door but that did not solve the issue. Some of the bags, clothing and shoes re-grew mold. We threw a lot of the mold infested belongings away because we could not clean them. I am in the process of moving and just found out that my dresser, chest and night stand have grown molds at the back. Now we are afraid we will transfer the mold to our new place. I don'tthink this is the first time management is hearing about the mold issue in this particular apartment even though they pretend it is. I was told by one of the tenants that there was flooding in this particular apartment some time back and I suspect it is the reason for this mold issue but management failed to let us know or admit they knew about it. Up until now I have held this apartment in high esteem but I don't anymore because of the inconvenience they have caused me. I am not happy with this issue. Beware future tenants if you plan on coming to stay here!!!

We strive to provide our residents with a great community they can call home and we apologize if that was not the case for you. It is unfortunate that you have had to deal with this situation. You are correct, we have had a change in management. If you would like to, please call us to schedule an appointment so that we can discuss your concerns in person.
Do not move here! The management team as of 2016 is inconsiderate and let unkind people rule the community. Having discussed this with multiple tenants in multiple buildings who can't wait to move out. We had not had any issues with prior rental places until we lived there!!
I lived at Wallburg Landing for almost three years; only reason leaving was buying my own home. I literally cried the first night in my townhouse reasons being migraine, fatigued, and mostly Homesick. Yeah, homesick. I became a resident under another manager my first year; however, I don't think anyone could be better to work with than Ashley and Joanne. They are not only our mgmt team, they become family. Sure as in all houses, in all apartments, and in all human dwellings, there will be an occasional technical matter that needs taking care of from maintenance. Just because I might not get put on a priority list to have it done that day does not mean they were not on the job nor did it mean they were ignoring me. I have been in the office at the end of the day before and personally witnessed maintenance checking word orders before leaving. They have a big job with lots of apartments. And to address the difficulty in getting a call answered in the office, that's because those ladies stay busy; really busy; and it is, also, the reason for a VM and email if necessary. Maybe just stop in once in awhile and say hello...let them associate faces with names; show them you like being there and that you are friendly. I promise that you will receive the same or better in return. My move was bittersweet. I wanted to stay, but I wanted my own home too. I plan on going back to visit with all of the staff as they are my friends and feel as part of my family. This team is top notch. As far as the apts, they are first class all the way.
I moved to Wallburg Landing in October 2015 and I have been very impressed with the management team. It was a smooth transition and everyone was very attentive to my needs, had a couple of minor maintenance requests after moving in and it was taken care of within 24 hours. The staff is very friendly and genuinely kind. The location is great and very convenient to my job and children's school, being close to 40 is a huge plus.. it's also really nice to have grocery shopping right next door. :)
I have been a tenant at Wallburg Landing for almost 2 years, the manager that worked there and helped me with everything LeAnn left and everything went down hill. I've had a leaking toilet for a month now and I have put in a work order, the guy came and looked at it only to not fix it and leave a note saying he didnt know which bathroom it was, which I advised the office so this was not the fault of maintenance more of a lack of communication on behalf of the office. They rarely answer the phone and if you have a issue you have to call multiple times. I also had an issue with a clogged drain and ended up going to get drano to clear it up. The apartment is beautiful and spacious. I deal with occasional pest. Managment is everything and determines a lot when moving somewhere.
I was fooled with physically nice brand new apartments. I have been dissatisfied from the day the lease was signed continuing to now which has been over a year. Since day one we leased an apartment on the second floor to show up later and learn that they leased the same apartment to 2 different tenants so we got stuck with the third floor. Later we found out there is not enough parking for our complex at all, if you are not here and parked by 7PM on any given night you might not even get a parking spot. Maintenance requests are not taken care of in a timely manner. This is only the start of my review, and this is toned down to some extent. I wish I would have never moved here.
