Property Ratings at Walnut Park Apartments
My husband moved to Twin Oaks in 2010 and I moved in with him in 2013. His one bedroom apartment was perfect for him as a bachelor. Once I joined him, it was a bit crowded with less than 600 sq ft total living space. We are on the middle floor so there is an apartment under us and above us. We've had at least 2-3 new people under us over the years and at least 4-5 new tenants over us in 11 years. The walls are thin but we don't hear the neighbors too much. We'll there was a couple that fought often and the police had to be called on several occasions. Also one of the tenants above us did watch TV loudly in their bedroom all night long but they weren't there more than a year. Our current neighbors over us are so quiet we forget anybody lives there. The management team and maintenance has always been responsive when things need attention. They do an inspection once a year to ensure everything is in good working order and good repair. They cover/uncover the AC units for you in the summer /winter. The rent goes up a little each year but that's common everywhere so it's expected to some degree. I wish it only went up every two or three years instead of annually but it is what it is. We have a pool but they are in the process if deciding if it should be closed and possibly making additional outdoor space for families to hang out together. We've outgrown the one bedroom apt and after years of trying to decide whether to buy a house or move to a bigger apartment, we've decided to stick with Poorvue and move to one of the other complexes that has a 2 bedroom apartment available. It won't be huge, but it will offer a second bedroom and an little more space. Was really hoping for one of the townhouses with 1.5 baths but apparently the people in those don't move often as they are premium units. All in all Poorvue has been a good company and we're happy they are able to continue accommodating our little family.
Worst condo Company Ever! They have no respect to their tenants whatsoever... only care about money, every year they will raise the rent by 80$/month and they never provide any services! Fake 24/7 maintenance, everytime you call with an emergency they tell you it is not and the maintenance people are not on call!!! Insects everywhere inside and outside the units especially in the summer time and nothing is ever done about this issue. In addition, they only have one washer and dryer per building. They never upgrade or fix the machines if they get ruined. You have to call multiple times to get their attention about this matter and any other matter. very unprofessional people, do your self a favor and find a condo somewhere else.
One Bedroom Apartment in Foxboro, MA Noise: Exterior porch and sliding door when in use are loud and disturbing, especially when neighbor has guests upstairs/overhead. Walls and floors are poorly insulated. Upstairs neighbor makes lots of noise, which I can hear most of. When commuter train goes by they blow horn loudly. Otherwise neighborhood very quiet, to the point where birds can wake you in AM. Lighting: Natural daylight is ample. But can see into neighbor’s apts. If shades/blinds are not used. Otherwise need to use own fixtures. Space: Large bedroom and living area. Nice large mirror closets. Fully carpeted. Nice appliances including dishwasher and microwave. Maintenance: They are quick to respond to calls for service. Has maid service, but they do mediocre job. Cobwebs and dust can still be seen. Other sites owned by mgmt. company are better maintained. Summertime grass cut regularly but noise lasts for couple hours. Wintertime mgmt. brought in teams to help clean off roofs and walkways, put down sand, etc. Management: Had problem with bees and ants in apt. informed mgmt. and they fixed problem. Informed mgmt. of noisy upstairs neighbor and mgmt. downplayed concerns; and stipulating that if I moved would have to pay one month’s rent. Utilities: Heat and hot water included. Pay for own electricity – which is reasonable. Amenities: Can use pool at other location. Rent: Goes up annually. One other renter says has been there 15yrs and rent has gone up each yr (and now pays over and above market). Other: Have to buy renters insurance annually. Overall, other than upstairs neighbor, am happy.
