Westchase is largely known as a business district, and many of the local residents are corporate professionals seeking to avoid the long, traffic-laden commutes that Houston is known for. The community is home to numerous office buildings, with a popular shopping area along Westheimer Road and several medical centers and schools in the mix as well. The rental market includes a variety of property styles, from swanky country club homes to modest efficiency apartments, catering to the needs of the diverse local workforce.
Golf courses and large public parks around Westchase are popular among locals seeking time outdoors, particularly the trails around Arthur Storey Park. Houston’s Chinatown is nearby, and Asian cultural influences contribute to a unique environment. Downtown Houston is only a short drive to the east, and the sprawling George Bush Park is just a quick hop away as well.

Property Ratings at Walnut Terrace Apartments
Best price , well maintained, excellent maintenance. Best part is the security. Been living here for 4 years and have not seen any security breach.

We are honored to have earned your 5-star approval as a loyal resident of four years! Thank you for praising our hardworking maintenance team and continuing to choose our community for your home. We will always be there for you when you need us.
Staff is very rude! This apartments don’t care for their residents, lived here for almost 2 years, and out of no where, this people want “their property back”, so I can’t renew. And they have no reason at all. So now I have less than a month to move out. They do not care. Also, let’s not forget about roaches. There’s roaches. Overpriced too!
The staff is rude, unhelpful, and seems much more interested in their own comfort in the office than to use any money on the residents. They have 3 new large AC units for their office and leave several residents with units that are 20+ years old and too small, outdated appliances and lots of shoddy repairs to make apartments "ready to move in". Expect things to break often. They would rather use the extra money to have free cookies in the office and to pay a kid to wave an arrow outfront, than to put any money towards increasing the quality of life of the people who live here. The parking is atrocious. Tiny spots that are in demand and the lot itself is riddled with pot holes, dozens of speed bumps, and lots of sharp debri. Your car will be scratched and dinged, maybe hit or stolen. There are piles of dog poop all over and no pet waste receptacles. Community policies are not enforced and can seemingly change on a whim without proper notice or amending the lease. You will get small roaches inside and large ones outside. You might get a family of raccoons or bees in your wall or ceiling. Don't move here.
I rented a one bedroom and did not renew my lease. I cleaned my apartment from top to bottom before moving out and it was immaculate. When I came to the office to turn in my key, the whole staff were extremely RUDE and they never gave me back my deposit because ( according to them ) I left a ketchup bottle in the refrigerator !! DO NOT MOVE HERE! You will NOT get your deposit back!

Thank you for making a home with us and sharing your experience. We are sorry if there was any miscommunication about your deposit, and we'd be happy to look into this for you and answer any questions. Please call the office when you have a chance to talk. We wish you all the best in your new home.
This apartment complex is money hungry and unorganized. Their rent is ridiculously high for having ugly, outdated appliances and countertops, charging trash fee when property is completely filthy, trash is thrown everywhere and workers do not come pick up your trash like they promised they would, will spend half your time searching for a parking spot or you can pay the $30 a month for one. I also had to argue about a $3 charge for a missing pedestrian key that I never received at the time I signed my lease and was actually disappointed that I never received this, it would’ve helped me a lot entering the gate. The units are so close together you can literally hear every word that your neighbors are saying if they’re out on the patio and my neighbors were not loud whatsoever, I could hear them whispering. Robbing happens here as well not sure how often but my neighbor was robbed. No storage whatsoever for a 1 bed/1 bath, you have your bedroom closet and a small cabinet in the bathroom that’s all the storage you have. Everyone is so confused on entering the main gate some have key cards and others do not/have lost theirs and there is not one specific gate code, everyone has different gate codes so you will spend your time behind a line of cars trying to figure out how to enter the gate. Only good thing about living here is the tennis court for working out, target across the street & easy access to restaurants/fast food places. If you’re considering living here I would check out other options first make this complex a last resort otherwise you’ll spend tons of money for an overpriced unit.

Absolutely terrible. I lived there for 14 months and there were issues right from the start. Beginning with a flimsy lock on the front door and quarter inch gap on all sides. It’s impossible to keep the place cool. Then the roaches.. the front office acted surprised and told me that the prior tenant never had roaches. Lies. The roaches are out of control. The orkin guy came so many times but the roaches kept coming. The walls are so thin that you can hear the everything going outside. I was extremely unlucky because my apartment faced Walnut Bend Lane and you can hear everything. The walls are all cracked. They just paint over them. No attempt to repair. The apartment flooded twice because of their faulty plumbing and ruined my mattress and MacBook, and there was mold everywhere. They sent a carpet person to who sprayed something on the carpet and left a fan to dry the carpet. I emailed the office to see if the could provide some sort of compensation, because, after all, their bad plumbing is the cause of the flood. No empathy was offered and they told me thats what renters insurance is for. The insurance gave me about half of what the mattress and MacBook. So now i have to spend extra money to replace items damaged because of their plumbing. Given the circumstances of covid, i would expect them to be understanding. They just blew me off. They take no responsibility for their faulty property. Cheap rent but not worth it.

Very bad management very big mistake to move there not recommended it all
I recently moved to Texas with no way of knowing if the apartment I choose would be right for me but I lucked up! I love the privacy this complex gives me. It's surround with trees so it also cools my house which saves on my electric bill. (Double wanny) The neighbors are all cool and the staff and maintenance team are awesome. I have two of the cutest Chiweenie dogs and they love sun bathing on my patio. There is plenty of space for them to run and play which is awesome. All together I love this place and have no plans on going any where.
I have lived here for the past 2 years. Felt like this complex is a hidden gem. Its quiet and family oriented. Has a video library with movies to rent and multiple pools to hang during the summer. Its easily accessible to the restaurant and shopping strip too. Enjoyed it!
