Property Ratings at Kinstone Columns Drive
I do not recommend that you live here. I started my 6-month contract last August 2018. I wasn’t happy with the living condition due to the cockroach infestation. So I decided not to renew my contract anymore. Then I visted and contacted the apartment management. The office staff said to me, that I have to extend my contract if I cannot fix the move out date. Then I asked her, if I fix the move out date, is it possible to cancel the extended contract? She said to me, “It is possible". I asked her to email me about this conversation, but she said to just "TRUST" what she said. When I had my final move out date, they requested the extended contract rent fee, even they said that just give a 60-day notice. I gave them the notice last December 2018. But they said that it is not notice just a verbal conversation. In the end, I paid the extended contract rent fee (Feb ~ March 2019). Management is really unfair.
There was drainage water leakage in both bathrooms and in an hour the bath tubs got filled up with drainage water and i informed Maintenance and they have taken 1.50 hours to come and taken another 1.30 hours to get a plumber, by the time plumber reached whole bathrooms got filled up with drainage water kitchen and laundry room also got drainage water. After plumber fixed the issue, taken 3 hours to get a cleaning guy. The cleaning was not done properly, on top of that Maintenance manager refused to change the carpet. She has mentioned the sponge removal is enough. The management team does not treat the tenants as human beings, not sure how they can ask to stay in an environment which got contaminated environment. I have to 6 more months to move out of this place. Better to look for alternative instead of Walton at columns drive.
The property management frequently sends out requests to tenants to post five start reviews on internet for $50. So beware of five star reviews. The apartments are expensive, small, very old, falls apart and has lots of other issues. I raise at least 3-4 maintenance request every month.
The leakage from broken sink and pipes upstairs. It happened twice in 3 month. Fortunately I only need to live here for one year. They don’t care about the leakage. They ask you to claim all the damages from your renters insurance. That’ll make you pay more for your renters insurance and hurt your credit. They don’t lose anything. So they don’t care about the leakage at all.
The Walton at Columns Drive was recommended to us by Tom at ProMove! It was by far the best apartment experience I've had thus far. From the superb customer service, fitness center, beautiful pools, super timely maintenance team, quiet/family friendly area, and accommodating management team I would say the Walton brand far exceeded my expectations. Kim and Erin were rockstar property managers and were ON POINT from the initial tour of the property all the way to our move out(I'm only leaving because my fiance's commute to work is too long from this area). I almost hate to leave. 5 stars from me! The ONLY drawback is poor cell phone reception. Many of the tenants have complained about that, however that isn't under the management's control. If it was I'm sure they would promptly fix it. Ha ha! You'll definitely have to contact your carriers for a portable tower for your home or use wifi calling. Again...that has nothing to do with the service provided by the Walton....just giving you a heads up. Overall they get 5 STARS FROM ME!!! -Shanna B.
Appliances and air conditioning are very old and break down all the time and the manager could not care less. Very old and run down apartments, worse than what you can rent in a third world country. Bad or no cell phone reception. This place was our worst rental experience.
Love the location and school district. Would like to find a larger home in the same area
The staff is great they are pleasant and they help if you ask.
The apartment I live in is very family friendly and that is good because I want my kids to live in a good area.
