Most people are familiar with Augusta as the site of the Masters Golf Tournament, which effectively takes over the city every April. While golf is certainly an integral thread in the community’s identity, there’s quite a bit more to the story. As Georgia’s second-largest city, Augusta combines Old-South elegance with modern sophistication, often on the same block. Downtown and its surrounding neighborhoods are full of historic homes and buildings, with a dining and nightlife scene that may surprise you with its diverse offerings.
The local economy employs folks in a wide range of major fields, from the well-established medical and higher education communities to the growing tech sector and military population stationed at nearby Fort Eisenhower. And while golf is certainly a popular pastime, Augusta’s recreational options extend far beyond the links: parks and nature preserves abound, and minor league baseball games at Olmstead Lake Stadium draw big crowds.

Property Ratings at Walton Oaks
This apartment community is beautiful and well taken care of. The staff is excellent and maintenance responds promptly to service calls. However, this complex has a bad infestation throughout its buildings. In the 3000 building there is a bad German roach infestation. In the 1000 building a bad stink bug problem and the building near the trash compactor there are reportings of a maggot infestation. Whatever pest control company this complex uses is a waste of time. If my apartment didn't have the bug problem I would've renewed my lease. But I can't live with roaches.
I love the luxury feel along with the affordable price at Walton Oaks. The people here are friendly and the property is very well maintained. I would recommend this community to anyone.
I LOVE this property. Amazing setup, community, and location. The complex is beautiful and I admire it every time I drive by. This is my ideal living area.
I love Walton Oaks so far. The apartments are so modern, upscale, and energy efficient. The people here really go the extra mile to make you feel like you're part of a community, not just another apartment complex. I would recommend these apartments to anyone. Great place to live!
