Property Ratings at Washington Village Apartments
Same story as the rest. During the year we stayed here nothing major happened had a few issues with appliances matinence eventual showed up when we put in request slow but not surprising. The kicker and it's been the same in ever apartment I've been in this one being no different minor stains on carpet they replace the whole thing my recommendation if you have kids, an animal, drink or eat food be warry stains cost you alot.

I have lived here for 2 years and adore this property! The office staff are so friendly and the maintenance men are so quick to solve issues. I would 100% recommend this apartment community to others!

I moved here three years ago. The management and maintenance staff are very responsive, they get it fixed and do it quickly. A few highlights: A Dollar General store is onsite, so basic necessities do not require a car (unless you don't want to walk home). Nice pool and work out room. Fenced in dog park and a paved walking trail. Halfway between east Indianapolis and Greenfield. Take your pick, both a short drive away. 20 year old buildings, going through remodel. Make sure you get a remodeled unit.

I moved in in the beginning of January and haven’t any issues yet. The pool is amazing and the renovated apartments are beautiful. They’re also located in a great school district. Fingers crossed they have a renovated apartment available when I renew my lease!

My wife and I moved here last year after we got married, and are grateful to call this place home. We love our space so much. The only reason this a 4 and not a 5 is the parking lot tends to have a bunch of potholes, but that is pretty par for the course in Indiana I guess.

Thank you for your review and for choosing to make our community your home. We appreciate your feedback about the parking lot and will look into addressing the potholes.
We have lived here many years ago. Recently moved back in last year and we love it. Friendly neighbors, pool is amazing and we love walking the trails!

Thank you for the feedback! We truly appreciate it.
I lived here for 6 months, had to cut my lease short due to relocating for work which the office staff were very helpful with. All in all it was a good place to live and I'd recommend living here, though there were a few things I wasn't a fan of. Pros: Location is great, you're right by all of the shopping and a few minutes from 70. Rent was affordable. Office staff were very helpful and I never had any problems with them. Cons: Facility laundry only had 4 washers and 4 dryers and frequently would be down 2 washers. If you dont like geese squawking and honking thoughout the day this is not the place for you, they got old very quick. My apartment was a little worn down and could have used an update on appliances and cabinets.
We have been living here since 2011. We were very satisfied at first but over time we have become unsatisfied. I have often heard that some people our having difficulty finding a parking space close to their apartment, people set there trash out way before they are supposed to, upstairs neighbors are excessively noisy without any resolve, many people do not observe the posted speed limit which is 15 mph which makes it danger for children when they are out and about. Most people don't observe the dumpster rules and leave prohibited items back there which create an eyesore. Just not what it used to be. Looking to move.

Thank you for making Washington Village your home for 8 years, we appreciate your residency and want to make sure you are happy with your decision to stay in our community. We are excited about a new trash valet program to keep our community free of unsightly trash. We know parking spots can be tight in some locations, all resident vehicles are issued a parking decal and reminded of the additional parking options available to them. We want to insure a safe community for everyone by obeying the speed limit signs. If we are aware of a violation we are quick to respond to correct the issue. Please feel free to stop in the office at any time. Property Manager

We relocated to Indiana this summer. We chose Washington Village for the convenient location. Close to shopping and the interstate. The property itself is great. The grounds staff take great care making sure everything is well taken care of and clean. Any maintenance issues are resolved promptly. Washington Village has a great community feel. They hold regular game nights, breakfast on Saturday’s and other events throughout the month. My favorite thing has been the gift wrapping station in the club house over the holiday season! They had everything you could need to wrap your gifts and it was wonderful having a place to do so without hiding from my kids! I would highly recommend this community for anyone looking for a clean, safe environment for your family.—Tiffany D.

I have lived at Washington Village for several years. I love the Sat. morning breakfast, fitness center and that it is pet friendly. It is nice to sit by the pool in the summer. I have had urgent and routine maintenance requests responded to promptly. They have always been helpful and polite. Christine is the office has always been very nice and helpful. We have enjoyed many pool parties, fall parties and breakfast with Santa. Julie J.
Washington Village has been a pretty good experience for me. The staff and maintance crew have all been great. In a rush on saturday and don't have time to cook, stop by the office and pick up a snack. They also have activities such as bingo, as well as seasonal activities that are family friendly. Over all the stall and crew try to make family life here at Washington Village family friendly.
It's one thing to move from a house to an apartment-Washington Village has made our move smoothly. We just renewed our lease for another year. The staff is very caring, efficient and treat us like family. Any issue we have had is addressed immediately. We love the Sat. morning breakfast in the clubhouse and the activities every month. Staff picks up our trash in front of our apartment-wonderful service. The laundry room and workout room are nice. We are glad Washington Village is our home. Joe and Pam Ruiz

I just renewed my lease with Washington Village Apartment for a second year. The apartments are in a great location. I am only 20-25 minutes away from downtown Indy, but also close to Greenfield and other small towns nearby. There are a lot of young families in the complex which creates a very cheerful feel. The pricing the great compared to other nearby apartments. I have had no issues with neighbors or staff here. When a light is out or a faucet is not working, they have been prompt in fixing it. I have been very pleased with Washington Village Apartments and look forward to another year here!
Property Manager at Washington Village Apartments, Responded To This Review
We feel it's a great location and community feel too. The small shops in downtown Greenfield are a great place to find that special gift for the holidays. Hope you are taking advantage of our Saturday morning breakfast at the Clubhouse every Saturday. Washington Village Apartments
Everything about this apartment is awful. The water is brown half the time and is making me sick and everything falls apart while absolutely nothing gets done about it. There’s no room for parking and yet they allow non handicapped people to park in the handicap spot while double parked non the less. The person to my right makes meth and the one to my left deals a variety of drugs. Noise is a huge problem but the worse part is they over charge you for everything possible and never help you with anything. Don’t be fooled by the fake smiles wanting you to rent here. Absolutely not worth it unless you want to get hooked on drugs.

We have reached out to the water company and spoke with Kaitlyn, she said if anyone is experiencing a problem with their water to please give her a call at Cumberland Water 317-894-3580 . I am so sorry that you have had some issues here at Washington Village. If you wouldn't mind stopping into the leasing office, I would love to meet with you and talk about the situation and what steps we can take to resolve your concerns. Washington Village Apartments
The apartments break apart easily everything breaks the dishwasher, toilet, closet doors. if you kids do not live here the people in the offices will kick and they say you can have pet but you get in trouble when they bark
Property Manager at Washington Village Apartments, Responded To This Review
We're really sorry that you have some maintenance service that needs attention. Please give us a call at 317-894-9515 so we can get your service requests taken care of quickly. Washington Village Apartments
I moved into Washington Village Apartments approximately three years ago. The location is outstanding. Five minutes in either direction takes you to numerous grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies, or anything else you need. A fifteen minute drive takes you into downtown Indianapolis. Also, the immediate area is very rural, surrounded by a few subdivisions and corn fields. The rent is fair, and utility bills are high, but not ridiculous. The management of the complex is helpful. Any maintenance issues are fixed very quickly, and usually the same day. The HVAC systems work well, and major appliances in kitchen are in good shape. The pool area is clean, and grounds are mowed/trimmed often. The fitness area and club house are clean and organized. Large repairs, such as new roofs, are taking place periodically. There are definitely a few down sides to living here. Certain issues are overlooked, such as minor repairs to exterior of buildings. Pulling out of the complex on the main road is very difficult due to heavy traffic moving at 55mph. Snow is plowed as best as possible, but snow and ice often accumulate around cars that haven't moved in days. The drive in the complex has numerous very large potholes, which have not been fixed properly. Most cars resort to rapid turns in an attempt to avoid them, but often it is impossible to. Some holes are so large that they have caused damage to my vehicle, even at low speeds. The clientele of the complex has steadily decreased, and loud music, barking dogs, or crying children can often be heard through walls. Children play outside unsupervised, and have almost been struck by vehicles by blindly running into the drive. Toys and bicycles are left out in the lawn for days at a time. Garbage is collected twice a week, but garbage is constantly left out for days. The grass is usually littered with dog feces, despite the pet stations provided. Groups of teenagers often wander around the complex, playing with fire or attempting to open vehicle doors. Vehicles are often being repaired in the parking lot for days at a time, and parking in some areas is a bit congested. Overall, the location is fantastic, and perhaps is the only reason I have stayed as long as I have. However, with the downfalls listed above, it is probably time to find a new place to live.
