Half The Reason...
I moved out here not because I know anyone or have any connection whatsoever to anything or anyone in Waterford. I moved here because this place has, or was supposed to have free electricity and free internet. Well it has free electricity, that's for sure. Free Wi-Fi was also half the reason I moved here. Only when I did get here, I did get the key for the gateway that is installed in the manager's office. However since I'm the last unit in the building that is the farthest away from the signal source, I don't get it. So they were dishonest from even before I moved in. They are invasive with their inspections, which they can perform anytime they give you twenty-four hours notice, and they do give notice and they do inspect, but only during business hours during the week. Another thing that I found disingenuous was that there also is no 24/7 property management, no on-site manager to address concerns after hours. Any apartment community I've lived in had a manager who lived on-site and was responsible for all the resident's. Addressing disputes and repairs are two very valid reasons for having on-site management. The police can come in whenever they want after hours and harass who they please. If the property were managed a bit more closely, we could address these concerns, maybe even install a signal booster to the WiFi. But I don't see that happening anytime soon. Oh, I was told by the manager who allowed me to move in, the one who explained I would have access to the WiFi, told me it was none of my business who lived next door to me. I only wanted to know how many people were authorized to live next door, and was told it was none of my business. However I believe she was compartmentalizing too much information. I deserve to know who and how many people live next door to me. As it turns out they were sub-letting their apartment to their friends to use as a brothel. They have since been evicted, but to have that happening here makes me think twice about living here any longer. No manager means no security. This property isn't secure at night.
