I have lived here for about a year with my girlfriend, it’s nice quiet community. Office staff is nice and always answers the phone. Neighbors are nice, very dog friendly community (if you have a dog). Over all I would recommend if you are looking for a good central location to downtown, Robinson or the South Hills
It’s a shame that this apartment community has gone downhill. This used to be such a nice place to live. I visited friends and cousins who lived there in the past, so I rented a 3 bedroom apartment in building 2 for a year. The location and amenities were great and the staff is pleasant. However, I had extremely loud neighbors who lived above me. They yelled at each other and fought and stomped around at all hours of the day and night. It disrupted our quality of life. I reported this to management and I was told to email them with dates, times, and a report of what happened. I reported numerous incidents, but nothing was done. There were also many times I would go for a run through the neighborhood and it reeked like weed near the fitness center. For the price, I would look definitely elsewhere.
AVOID THIS COMMUNITY. I just moved in 3 months ago and it were the worst 3 months in my life. AT THE FIRST DAY of living here I saw roaches coming out from the laundry room, I immediately reported that and they told us to take pictures to prove it. We took A LOT OF pictures and videos proofing that the roaches are everywhere in our apartment!! After 2 weeks the pest control came to our apartment and said there’s nothing and all of the roaches are dead ( as there were not alive before ) we called several time complaining about the same issue and we’ve no response other than we’re a lier and we’ve carried them with us from last apartment. After a month, we called the manager about moving out as I have little boy with VERY sensitive skin small things may cause very harm rush. The manager said give us some times, we’re trying to control everything and we already have treated the source twice. Me and my husband agreed to wait. After 2 weeks we started to see the roaches again in the living room. I had one of my friends come to my apartment to study and the roaches stuck in her bag and she carried it to her apartment. NOW, I was siting in my living room and I saw mouse coming out of the fire place..!!!!! I called and they did the action immediately. It’s not fair to pay this much on apartment and get BAD and unhealthy atmosphere ever in your life. The Apartments looks very fancy and modern. I was expecting a lot of this community.
The previous review was spot on about how awful this place is. Given it was posted two years ago you would think management may have taken it as a suggestion to do better. Well they didn't. The fact that management has the audacity to think that it's okay to allow people to move into this sort of filth is disturbing. Old, run down and nasty..about sums it up. I feel like this place is a scam, they make you think your apartment will be nice then pull bait and switch. Then if you want to leave they suck more money from you. Save yourself the unnecessary headache.
Well-kept, nice landscaping. Nice extra amenities as well! Apartments are clean and newer inside. Option to rent upgraded apartments a well. Great place to want to live! Conveniently located!
Very good so far just moved in august 1st. The staff is great and easy going. Great.
Waterford Nevillewood is a temptress, it will seem perfect when they show it to you and when you move in. The not so fun reality sets in shortly thereafter. If you need something fixed then prepare yourself for the maintenance men who barge right on in! They will knock while simultaneously unlocking/opening your door. If you have the pleasure of being out of the home when they come in, well then be prepared for a mess, because these guys do not clean up after themselves. Also be prepared for the quality of their work, it's bad. They had to fix a leak and when our wall got patched up it looks like what a 5 year old would make it play-doh! And don't expect any courtesy calls, if the job they are doing spans over a few days, they will come and go when they please not to your knowledge. Oh, and when you call the leasing office and speak to the property manager, be prepared for insincerity and absolutely no solution being come to. The apartment? All in all, it's too much money for too little space. If they get you in there with a rental deal, be prepared for you rent to skyrocket after your first year is up. Noise? I can hear my neighbors word-for-word through the bathroom walls, and every cabinet and door closing next-door. And I'm on the top floor, I can only imagine what they two floors below me hear. Rent? The property management company in New York is incompetent to say the least. If you send a check, despite you getting it there on time, be prepared to not have them cash it until the 2nd or 3rd week of the month. They take their jolly old time, and this is every single month, but if you send it two days late, despite the fact that they won't cash it for 2 weeks anyway they'll still slam you with a ridiculous late fee. The quality of our apartment upon move-in? Check under all the appliances. We found a pile of cat liter under our dryer 4 months into our lease when we had to move it because something had fallen behind. We don't even own a cat. They do an awful job cleaning/preparing your unit for you. The tile floor in our kitchen and entryway had yellow stains when we moved in. I complained, think they did anything? Nope! The awesome community trash compactor? Broken, it has been consistently broken. Their solution? A giant blue dumpster that hardly holds the 230+ units in this community's worth of garbage, so get ready to see trash bags everywhere around the compactor. It's disgusting. The pool? Don't go there to relax, go there if you want to be apart of a frat party. The tanning bed? Old, unsanitary, dust and hair throughout the lightbulbs under the acrylic. It is gross. All and all, the unit is pretty, and workable if you keep your belongs to a minimum but the maintenance, property manager, and property management company in NY are below average and a headache. One last thing, this is a "gated" community. I have lived here since July and have never ONCE seen that gate down and had to use my gatecard to get in/out of this community. So don't let the people in the leasing office sell you on that point because it's bogus.
