North Burnet is a busy Austin neighborhood filled with shops, restaurants, and businesses. It is a highly sought-after neighborhood, home to JJ Pickle Research Campus of the University of Texas at Austin, the upscale outdoor shopping mall the Domain, and Austin Community College: Northridge Campus. Downtown Austin is only about eight miles south, but with so much happening in North Burnet, you may find all you need in the neighborhood. For those who are commuting, I-35 and the Mopac Expressway are both easily accessible, and so are several bus stops.
Residents gather at Domain Central Park, which offers beach volleyball and a dog park. Walnut Creek Park stretches along the northern border and offers the Northern Walnut Creek hiking trail. Misleading listing. Extremely small, not what is shown.
The pictures that were in the listing were NOT the unit that I was given. Everything on this listing said "Unit 152" and the pictures were not of this unit. Me, my wife and my kid had to stay in an EXTREMELY small literal hotel room at this property. The pictures depict a large room with a curtained closet with a dresser, a separate desk area, and a larger kitchenette. The unit I got in only had one nightstand, a couple drawers on the TV stand and no extra desk. There was no remote for the TV, no drain plug for the bath tub, no trash cans, no pillows... For a "furnished" unit, it was really badly "furnished". The worst part was when I showed the front desk the listing, I was told that the pictures were of the "show room" and not of the rented unit and that I "should've been told" that. I was not told that. It was nowhere in the listing, and it was a complete bait and switch. I texted the property manager and he said the same thing and "apologized" for it. Also, there was no Cable TV and it was listed in the amenities. It was at least clean, I guess.
