I have no idea how this place has 4 stars. EVERYTHING in this place is run down, outdated, and poorly maintained. There were holes in my shower basin. I only got about five minutes of hot water, and when asked if maintenance could do anything about it, I was told to "Get in faster." Whoever painted my unit had NO IDEA what they were doing, as it was done incredibly poorly and there were drips of paint and splatters EVERYWHERE. The carpet was dingy and smelled awful. The fireplace was not properly maintained and therefore I constantly had bugs in my unit. This is on top of communication being absolutely non-existent. The people who work here are extremely careless and ignore their residents consistently. None of the amenities are maintained well nor clean. This place is the bare minimum of livable conditions compared to every other apartment complex I've experienced. DO NOT LIVE HERE!

When I first moved into the apartment back in June 2020, it was dirty, and there were empty soda cans and sunflower seeds on the floors in the bedrooms and their closets. All of the paint on the baseboards around the apartment were chipping off and the bathroom walls had white spots where they had been patched and never even painted over. The office staff said they could have everything redone but that I wouldn't be able to stay in the apt while they did it becuse it would take a few days. That was not an option so I just had to deal with it. Maintenance is not quick to resolve issues at all. I have been missing blinds since I moved in back in June 2020 and the drain in the guest bathroom has been broken for over 2 months now. Hard to give up the great location for my daughters school and my work, but definitely not satisfied with the condition of the apartment.

Everything about this place is bad. From the inside to the outside of the apartment. When we first move in the apartment inside was never clean, had spider webs, the toilets were dirty, the tubs were dirty and the blinds were never clean. The people in the office they speak to you with a horrible attitude and they are zero helpful. Please do not waste your money in this place.

I've been living here almost 11 months (my lease is up in August and thank god that it is). The staff here sucks. Maintenance sucks. I had to put in 3 or 4 work orders just for our window blinds replaced (they were supposed to be replaced upon move on). Our apartment has the loudest HVAC system in it, seriously like a freight train. It was supposed to be taken care by the time we moved in, fast forward to now it and it still hasn't been fixed. Even after countless work orders in, talking to the office about it,and even contacting the Somerset Apartment Management. The HVAC system in 12371 APT J is so loud that it shakes our kitchen cabinets, beds, couches and chairs. It wakes us up in the middle of the night. It can't even run properly. We have to have it set at 73 degrees in the summer because if we go any lower than that, it doesn't shut off. The other day I came home from work at 3:30, it was running when I walked in and didn't turn off at all. I switched it off at 11:30 just so I could go to sleep. Who knows how long it would've kept running if I hadn't turned it off. But then you wake up sweating because it's so stuffy in the apartment. It doesn't cool all of the rooms properly (which they also knew about and were supposed to fix) The office told me there is nothing they can do about the noise because "it's just an old system". MOST OLD SYSTEMS NEED TO BE REPLACED. I've played them recordings of it and they still do nothing about it. I don't know why they would think anyone would want to live there with it being so loud you can't think straight. Not to mention, it also leaks water! The pipes connecting to it overflow and drip on some electrical wires *SAFETY HAZARD*. The inside of the system is FILTHY! It's covered in dirt, dust and what I'm assuming is MOLD! Absolutely horrible. To imagine we're breathing that in, but they can't do anything about it because "it's old". I've sent them pictures of the mold too and they still don't do anything about it. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT HERE. DON'T MOVE INTO 12371 APT J. DON'T MOVE INTO THE COMPLEX AT ALL. I feel bad for the person who is going to get this apartment after me because they'll have to go through what I've gone through and they won't get any help from the horrible staff here.

Stay away from this place. Crimes happen regularly here. Back in June, a streaker was spotted along the lake in addition to a few gunshots. This past month, somebody crashed their car onto the property (drive down Tempo, see for yourself). Damaged the building. The apartment that you get will not look like the unit they show you. Don't be fooled. Majority of the complex smells like weed. Police also hand out tickets for expired tags. Walk around the parking lot at 2am and will do it. Avoid this place.

I encountered a number of maintenance issues that were not fixed correctly (multiple maintenance requests had to be put in), in a timely manner, or were not taken care of. One such instance caused my roommate to have to sleep on the couch for over a month. The laundry facilities were often smelly, with numerous broken machines, and had large water puddles. I would never recommend anyone live here. Let me repeat that. I would never recommend anyone live here.

Where do I start. Laundry room is disgusting, humid, most machines are in-operable. I had my clothes stolen from the laundry room. Buildings are old and cheap. You basically hear everything in this place. If you enjoy waking up around 3am to hear a neighbor getting it pretty good, then this is the place for you. Community has a lake that usually floods after a heavy rain. That's one perk.

Office staff isn't very helpful and the maintenance department won't fix anything the first three times you ask. Everything with this property is painful. Look elsewhere.

I have been living in this apartment complex for ten months but the apartments are very old and the air conditioners are bad. The maintenances work are very bad. I had a leak in the bathroom in the upper floor and it took time to fix the problem and since then the roof is still open and they told me that I have to pay if I want to return the part From the ceiling, the staff are very helpful especially Mary and her colleague in the front office , I think her name is Lisa but there is one of the staff she is so rude and foolish . There is no privacy in the house.One of the maintenance worker came in and took photos of the kitchen and rooms without my permission. He also changed the outer lock of the door while I was out. My children backed from school and Stayed in the street for half an hour , When I and my husband were outside. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. I cannot wait until my lease is up .

i just moved in. first they gave me a different apartment that have very old cabinet and dirty carpet and also the apartment have cockroaches. so i went to the leasing office and told them whats going on and the manger came and told me they can not help me if i want to move to different unite i would have to pay $400 and if want to move out i would have to pay 2 month rent.. i do'nt advice any one to move here Sami

I have lived in Waterfront Crossing for 9 months. To say that I hate it here would be an understatement. The location is perfect. The neighborhood is nice. But the maintenance is terrible and the office does not care. I have items from my move in checklist that are still not fixed. My kitchen light has not worked from day one. Nobody cares. My sliding glass door hasn't function from day one. Nobody cares. It took them 5 days to fix the front door of my apartment during which we could not access our apartment through the front door and had to use the sliding glass door (which does not slide open all the way) to gain entry to our apartment and couldn't lock our house. I have had a leaky toilet all week. They came to fix it once but it still leaks. I could literally go on all day about the maintenance issues that I have had and continue to have since moving in. Yvette and Miranda in the office are super nice. Mary is rude and is not helpful. And the management team, Amy and Amy, could care less. If you are looking for a complex that cares for their tenants and their tenants' homes, this is NOT the place for you.
The location of these apartments is amazing. I'm minutes from just about anything I can imagine. TGI Fridays is within walking distance and is a great place to catch up with my friends. Overall very happy with this place.
I've been part of this community for over 10 years and this new management team is unbearable, their head manager is terrible she do not care about the tenants, she just worries about collecting and cashing the checks every month; I can't wait to leave this complex! shearing my apartment with rats without no one helping me out was the worst among many others things. Turn around and go somewhere else!
BEWARE! I have lived at Waterfront Crossing for quite a while now and understand that, just recently, the ownership has changed. I was hoping this would be a positive change as the front office staff and maintenance crew were dedicated to customer service and wanted to make improvements for the complexes benefit. This would not happen as the staff was summarily canned and the downward spiral began. We no have fewer maintenance staff to respond to issues or to make repairs to the outside of the buildings (this can be seen by driving through the complex and walking through the apartment vestibules). The laundry room has several machines that are out-of-order and continue to be for lengthy periods. The club house was available to everyone throughout the evening hours for a fun and safe area to meet neighbors but it is now closed when the office closes. There are also additional charges on our rent which, prior to the new management, were included in the rent fee. I was told that the management could include additional charges to the rent at any time and without notice. The office staff is less than pleasant to leaseholders. They are most likely very nice to potential clients but....beware. I'm very sad to have to post this but until the change, I was very happy to refer anyone to this complex but that is no longer my opinion.
Please live on street but not here..... I am current resident and management is hopeless.... you need to leave your job to follow up with management on maintance issue..... they promise you Monday but will not tell that Monday of next year
I used to think bad reviews were only written by dissatisfied residents, and that these reviews didn't reflect the opinion of the majority of residents. The turnover of residents and staff shows the company is poorly managed, and as a result fails to retain residents. When you first sign a lease, they force you to sign a waiver that states the walls are made of toxic material and they cannot get sued if you get sick.The customer service of the staff is below average, the execution of their promises is awful. The air conditioning doesn't work, the laundry facility is a joke. The swimming pool turned green for about two weeks and you constantly have band aids hitting you in the head when you swim. It looks nice on the outside but masks are deceiving. I will happily pay more money somewhere else for someone who actually listens!! The only good thing about this place in the maintenance guys. Those guys are awesome!!

I currently live here. Cares only about your money. Maintence cannot fix a single thing and im sure my apartment wasent even checked before I moved in. It took a month to cover the hole into the attic that should have been done before i moved in. It took a week for black mold to be cleaned and another week for the hole in my wall from them cleaning it to be fixed. There are cracks in the walls everywhere and even a hole left when they changed the kitchen left in the back of the cabnit. Awful place that is also lying about leaders in satisfaction for 7 years. That ended in 2013. I would have left a long time ago if I could. If you like this price range try Time Centre in St.Charles.
I cannot wait until my lease is up in July. I am counting down the days. I get woken up every morning by the person who lives above me. I can hear their every move (even drawers opening). If that isn't what is waking me up then it is hearing people walking up and down the stairs outside. The wooden floor boards are the loudest thing ever. Car alarms go off in the parking lot every morning. When they say newly renovated kitchen, that just means they replace the cabinet doors. The shelves inside the cabinets aren't stable at all. The location is great because it is right off the highway but I cannot wait to find a new better apartment

They know how to make these apartments look attractive in pictures. I've lived here for over a year and this has been the worst experience I've ever had living in apartments. Constant maintenance issues, the walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors conversations, tv and music. If you live on the 1st or 2nd floor you can hear the boards move when your upstairs neighbors walk around. There are never any parking spots at night. They also have hidden fees. My lease is up soon and i will be happy to leave this place. You are pretty much paying for the area these apartments are located in. The area isn't bad. There are way better apartments.

The property itself is well maintained. Friendly/helpful staff. All of the complexes have been renovated and the kitchen appliances are brand new. The cable is included in the rent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend someone to lease here.
We were lucky that the model we needed just became available on the date we needed it. The place is great and were looking forward to taking advantage of all the amenities the community has to offer. Two pools, fitness center, pool table, and lots of other bonus community features make this a great find. The models don't have all the amenities listed on the website (only AC), so we were very pleasantly surprised at what we saw when we visited. Staff was very friendly and helpful and worked with us to get the best pricing. Would definitely recommend to others. Also, conveniently located at olive and 270 will make getting around the city much easier.
I am currently in my second year living at this complex. When I first toured the complex I instantly fell in love with the amenities and layout for the space. The people who work the main office are friendly and helpful when it comes to maintenance on the apartment. I also love that I am able to put service tickets in online to have work done and have free range when in comes to decoration. Now for the downside. If you try to call to speak to someone the phone rarely is answered and if you leave a message getting a call back is next to impossible. There is also a 60 day notice that needs to be put in but what I've experienced and a few other tenants they wait until 30 days before your lease is up to tell you there will be an increase in the rent. I don't believe it is good practice to "trap" tenants and not give them the option without suffering penalties to decide whether the community is still a good fit. After this year I will be looking elsewhere, simply because after that interaction I do not believe I am a good fit in this community and they could careless and are simply looking for a check.
These apartments are not terrible and not amazing. They are slow to respond to mantiance issues. Sometimes the staff is friendly and sometimes they are not.
This complex comes with two beautiful pools...except they're conveniently closed a lot. Another benefit of this place is all of the maintenance guys are very nice. Which is good because they were at my apartment fixing something every few weeks. Oh and they'll up your rent ever year at least $60 (try complaining about the place and say you'll leave and they might not).
