Big floor plans, nice neighbors. That is all the pros of this place. Management changes every 8 months, BAM management is a TERRIBLE corporate entity that has a slew of negative reviews in other states like Indiana. Last year, this location DID NOT REMOVE SNOW FOR DAYS. Residents were stuck in this complex due to the gross negligence of the management and corporate teams. Do not live here. It is overpriced and underwhelming.

They do not remove snow. This is very important to do in Iowa. This complex refuses to remove snow and instead leaves their residents stuck in their homes at the mercy of a vendor that this management company chose. Incompetent
I just moved in 5 months ago & I don't have any complaints. The management is the most caring and if you need something done, they will make sure it gets done promptly. They have so many awesome events at the club house as well. One night we had a movie night by the pool, there was a "chili day" in the office as well where they were just serving chili all day. They send out a "daily digest" to all the residents to keep them up to date on the news around the complex.. if there's going to be any events, any construction going on etc. There's a great pool & hot-tub with cabanas, and I am personally a huge fan of the pool table in the game room. The apartments are just what we were looking for, Just enough space for us and our pets. I love the granite countertops, and my kitchen. Our patio is the one of the reasons why we picked our certain apartment as well because it has the wrapped our patio so we have enough space for our grill. We have so much closet space in the bedroom, that was going to be my main worry but it worked out perfect. Thrilled with my choice to sign the lease here.
Great apartment complex located in West Des Moines! I lived here for a little over a year and absolutely loved it! The staff is very helpful and prompt at responding to emails and calls. The complex is always kept clean. The pool is a fun place to relax and lounge in the cabanas in the summer months. Would highly recommend this complex to anyone looking for upscale living for a convenient price!
Although this place may look nice on the outside, it was built as cheap as possible. Our apartment was practically unlivable and they refused to let us out of our lease. The ceiling above our shower had to be torn out when we first moved in, and several other people we knew there had the same problem. The internet had to be rewired when we got it hooked up, our dishwasher broke and it took them a month to fix it, our balcony door leaked air and they refused to replace it. Our carpet fell apart, leaving an exposed nail strip that I stepped on, and that also took them a month to fix. Oh, and maintenance barges in unannounced whenever they want. There was vomit on the steps for our apartment building for months. Parking sucks, if you have a garage they will not let you park in the lot, you have to park in your garage. They also raise your rent after a year. New management is even worse than the previous. Milhaus Property Management is a joke of a company. They refused to even look at our lease and explain to us why they wouldn't let us out of it. Don't waste your time here. There are better places for the money.
These are priced based on the fact that they are new. However, everything from the floor to the doors and fixtures are as cheap as possible. The pool is rarely open and the rest of the amenities are below average. That is if you can wade through all of the children running and screaming throughout the property. The maintenance team was great, but the office staff was not. I was lied to several times and my deposit was not returned despite the office admitting the apartment was in perfect shape.
Wow - what a phenomenal experience I have had within my first week of living here. From Day 1 of inquiring about the complex I was amazed at the level of service they provided. Emails were returned promptly, and the complex manager, Gina, was extremely professional. She guided me, step by step, in my application process to ensure it was seamless. The actual units feel as though it's a home with the decor, appliances, upgraded accessory, and design. I ran into a couple of issues that, while a bit frustrating, were handled in a professional, timely, manner. The additional amenities within the complex is definitely a perk. From the game room, to the gym, to the gas grills, to the showers in the clubhouse bathroom you feel as though this is a resort oasis for you to enjoy. The team at Watermark are upbeat, professional, and make your life easier. If you are looking for an apartment for rent I highly suggest you look here first. You definitely get what you pay for.
I lived here for several months and had a very negative experience with the property. The apartments themselves are ok, although somewhat cheaply built. Parking is a constant headache and has been for months without a solution. They're also pretty expensive for what you get. I'd recommend you save your money and look at other properties.
Excellent caring staff that want you to be comfortable.The manager here even gave me a ride to work when my car wouldn't start! The watermark apartments are beautiful inside and have great floor plans. You also don't need to go anywhere else for entertainment! There's the pool/hot tub with excellent cabanas and grill in one area, gym, game room, & another separate relaxing area with more grills. You can have a wonderful evening without leaving or using your wallet.
This apartment was everything my roommate and I were looking for. Great amenities, perfect location and all around beautiful. The office staff is also very willing helpful and willing to answer any questions that arise. Two thumbs up!
The apartment was dirty when we first got it, it's new construction, but they never cleaned up after the construction workers. We let the from desk know, and they promised someone would clean it, but the never did. Other than that, it's a very nice place, a quiet neighborhood, and I love my neighbors.
