Plumbing issues will back up in your apartment causing mold to grow and they do not care
You get what you pay for. Everything’s fine until you have a problem. Maintenance issues rarely ever got fixed including a broken garbage disposal I addressed over the course of 3 YEARS. Someone would come in, look at it, & leave. My vents started leaking water in the bathroom, again, look & leave. My whole apartment even flooded once because no one was cleaning the drains & I had to get all the water out on my own & I started clearing the drains before heavy rain to avoid another incident. Not to mention the roaches & bugs that come in that you have no defense against no matter how hard you clean. Waking up to a roach crawling on your face while asleep was my breaking point. I’ve already moved out & I’m still waiting for my security deposit check. Speaking of which, i was still being charged rent AFTER I already moved & exceeded my 60-day notice but no one ever bothered to remove me from the system. I hope things get better with the new management because the last ones only cared about you paying your rent & would get nasty with you. I had got into a verbal (professional) altercation with her because I didn’t understand something on my lease & she wanted to over talk me & be rude every time I asked a question. I’m grateful for the management that came before them as this was my first apartment but after awhile I was pretty much counting down the days
I cannot stress this enough DO NOT DO IT! I’ll make this simple the property managers do NOT own up to ANY mistakes made on their behalf they will lie to get out of it! Let’s also mention how easily roaches can enter the apartments because NOTHING is properly sealed or maintained! Every one of the ladies in the office are extremely nasty and the worst to deal with! The apartments look so beautiful online but in reality the pool hasn’t been cleaned in years and it’s completely disgusting! The laundry room that we have is extremely poorly maintained! Cars are always getting broken into because they lied about having cameras in the parking lot! Mail boxes are being broken into and nothing has been done about it! I could keep going but just hear me out DO NOT DO IT!
The property is not maintained well at all. They can't keep maintenance men to save their lives the heat doesn't work well at all my child & I have beensick numerous times due to this. The property managers are liars DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!
The apartment is very nice and comfortable! Location is very convenient, near shops and public transportation. Lakeisha was very helpful and friendly, she’s a amazing assistant manager.
These are great apartments in a great area. They are a bit older and that have minor issues, but the maintenance and office staff are always friendly and quick to respond to such issues. I have loved my time here and will always recommend it to others.
Berryhill apartments is at a perfect location, very easy to get around with public transportation and walking distance to restaurants. This place is great, very clean and has everything you need. Lakeisha and Ikia also were very helpful since the beginning, available at all times whenever I had any questions. Totally recommend it.
The staff is helpful and love the school district
I have loved my experience with this property from the initial tour to moving in. Everyone in the front office staff has been absolutely wonderful. They've been transparent and tell me everything that I need to know. I love how kind they are. Ms. LaKeisha has been great at staying in contact with me during the entire process. She is the reason why I moved in. You not find a better staff member.
My first experience at the Berryhills apts was Awesome the staff was very friendly and courteous I was very impressed with the apts and may be looking forward to moving here soon kudos to lakeisha she rocks we need more like her all of my questions were answered in a professional manner
They deny you your rights of Quiet Enjoyment. You sign addendums to the lease for No loitering but older tenants break this rule daily without consequences. I have been taking pics to prove my case. No one has asked to see them.
Returning to columbia for work and first thing on my list was returning to Stoney Creek. OMG 10 yrs later and This property is horrible, the street and area pavement holes are awful and more important unsafe , the minor cosmetic maintenance appears to mask the structure. There have been updates to floors , kitchen cabinets , counter and some windows. Everything else is hugely outdated { bathroom and bedrooms} There appears to be sewage issues by the smell so I’m not sure what going on. I’m not sure about any improvements with heat and air but tenants say the electric bills are astronomical. I drove through one night and it doesn’t appear to be security personnel or a feeling that it’s safe to jog or walk late evening. When I moved back to this area for work 10 months ago I was stunned at how poorly the property was maintained .... many years ago I lived 3 years there when it was under the name Stoney Creek 2002-2005 .. there were many families from every background ( white collar to blue collar work) . The property was beautiful and well maintained, we spent some great summers at the pool along with late evening walks. The office associate were professional and thoughtful.. bday cards and balloons along with being on top of every request.
This is a ok place to stay but please be informed that there's a horrible sewer problem. And they have a mold issue that stems from the water/sewer issue.
Overall, the entire apartment is VERY spacious, lots of room ! ... Closets are big enough to walk through .... Ceiling fans, and a balcony too!
It can be stressful looking for a place you can call home. You want to be proud of were you live and also be safe. With all of that being said I've lived in a parent for 4 years and through the course of 4 years I've been the life's up and downs... One would think we'll your a parent has to be wonderful to live there for 4 years. I must say it hasn't been perfect, over the course of 4 years I've been through some battles not just in life but with my apartment. I've had issues with air and little minor things which is expected over the years but through it all what made me stay for 4 years is the great assistance the office mangers have showed. I've had alot of live changes that at times it but me in financial binds and through those situations they have always been understanding and even come up with idea to help. That's hard to find...
