New Baltimore is a tale of two cities: the historic charm of downtown and the modern, sleek subdivisions wrapped around lakes and golf courses on the far north side of the city. New Baltimore was first settled in 1796 by French fur trappers. Due to its location on Anchor Bay, the city became a transportation hub for boats carrying goods to other parts of the region. In the late 1800s, and as boating became less popular thanks to trains and, eventually, automobiles, the area transitioned from a shipping hub to a resort town for Detroit residents.
The lakefront is still a popular destination. Watch the sun set over Walter & Mary Burke Park, a great little park with a beach and swimming area, fishing docks, boat docks, playgrounds, bocce ball courts, and two picnic pavilions. Maynard "Red" Aurand Memorial Park features a sledding hill, a playground, ball fields, basketball courts, and a skate park.

Property Ratings at Waters Edge Estates
I moved to Water's Edge Apartments in March. Besides a long line of problems I have encountered such as drugs, having to call the police for neighbors stalking and taking pictures with their cellphone of the bedroom and me in a nightgown. The worse is to find out that the apartment has no insulation and the sliding glass door and bedroom window are leaking. The manager informed me that I would have to buy supplies to winterize their apartment and hire a contractor since I am physically unable to do it myself. My job is to pay the rent and take care of the apartment. Their job is to do maintenance.
terrible place to live at. They keep raising the rent and make their buildings look like crap. They treat their residents like crap too and only blame the residents for everything instead of taking the blame on their own. They say you complain too much to you. Definitely don’t recommend this place. Still no pool either. They lie alot too.
Very poorly management. Don’t recommend at all. Neighbors are also very nasty.
I love this place! The area is super nice and way better than where I lived before. First off the manager (Stacey) is so friendly and welcoming. When I go into the office she always makes time to talk to you and make you feel important. Second, any problem that requires maintenance they are always right on it. Everything gets taken care of in a timely manner too. Third, the area itself is fantastic. With a nice park (with access to the lake) right down the road and 23 mile road right there it gives you everything you need. Overall my experience here has been amazing. 10/10 would recommend.
Great size apartments, beautiful crown moldings throughout living room, dining room and hallway. Does not have all white walls like most apartments!

The bay (lake) across the street 2 beautiful parks Woods & a small city all within a short drive or a small to medium walk (distance) This will be my home for the future to come as I will continue to add to my memories here...The kindness shown to me by the staff has been truly a blessing...Very professional caring & responsive.. Could only give 4 stars just because I never give the highest because there are always little issues But nothing that can't or hasn't resolved Just living life on life's terms.ie: mom cancer, surgery etc.....
Very nice community great location. The grounds are taken care off. Office personnel are responsive and friendly. Love my front porch which is bigger than most. If you have a problem maintenance is very timely. I recommend Waters Edge Estates to anyone looking for a nice place to live.
Have been here for a long time. Love our apartment and our neighbors. Its been a small..nice .. .safe family community. Now however a lot of people are wanted to move.New owners are raising rent and the place is looking worse. The much loved pool is sitting broken with weeds growing everywhere. Its sad to see. Holding on to hope that they will improve the area and bring back the pool.
Me and my husband have lived here since 2010 and we almost moved. WE ARE GLAD WE STAYED. Since Princeton Management took over and Stacy and Kaitlyn the new Managers took over it has once again become a great place to live. Stacy and Kaitlyn are great Proffesional and caring Managers that truely care about the place we live and promote the family like community we have here. When placing maintenance requests they are always timely friendly and proffesional and get the job done right the first time. I can't say enough good about the proffesional staff. The atmosphere here and residents are friendly and outgoing. Its a family like atmosphere where everyone knows your name and looks out for each other. The community is nice again, very safe and being taken care of with lots of new upgrades. I will be here for many years to come.
My fiancé and I have lived here together at Water's Edge for over four years; my fiancé has lived here two years longer than I. We can't imagine a better manager than Donna. She is very attentive and personable, takes superb care of us as tenants, and makes this place great. She is the reason we plan to remain for many years to come.
I've lived here with my fiancé and our now 1 1/2 year old daughter for 1 year now and we're looking for a new place ASAP! 1: nothing gets fixed. The manager takes down the work order but it takes her MONTHS to send them to maintaince. Our bedroom door got stuck closed for 5 months before someone finally came and fixed it after going to her more than 3 times and each time she would just say "yeah your work order is right here." 2: my daughters closet door almost fell and crushed her while she was playing in her room. 3: our fridge has been leaking for 4 months and when someone came to look at it all they said was "your fridge is dying that's why it's leaking" but NO ONE HAS DONE ANYTHING. It's still leaking, we have to keepn a towel under so no one slips anymore. 4: our front door won't open. To get in your have to ram your shoulder into it and to get out you have to yank it 10 times in a row. 5: our shower doesn't work and we only have hot water every couple of days and only enough for one bath so our daughter is the only one bathing for the last 3 weeks. We have to go to our gym to shower. And NONE of these things are fixed except the closet. We call 2 times a day every day and go up there multiple times and we always get the same answer "someone will be there Saturday". It's been months and no one has game yet. There's people selling drugs out of their apartments, there was a raid just last week in the building across from us. And the owner just raised the rent out of no where. This place is awful.
I moved into water edge in March of this year. Overall the apartment is what I expected. You can hear the neighbors every once in awhile; however, it is quiet most of the time. The only complaint I have is that it takes forever for maintenance to come and fix anything that is broken. Also, the patio area that is enclosed has not been finished during the summer like it was supposed to be. Im tired of looking at unfinished walls. Donna, the woman in the office is very helpful and sweet.
I lived her for a short time when my fiancé and I stayed with his uncle while we got on her feet then after a year of living in a one bedroom somewhere else we decided to come back here and give this place a try on our own. I REGRET EVERYTHING ABOUT THAT DECSION! The manager is rude! She doesn't do her job at all. Our bedroom door won't open and we asked her to have it fixed 3 months ago! It still isn't fixed and when we asked her about it she said she'd get around to it. Our kitchen drawers are falling apart, plaster from the wall is falling off. The neighbors are super noisy and rude! We were falsely accused of not paying rent our first 3 months here and when we went to her she claimed we never turned in our money orders but they were right in front of her face. She told us we can't have big dogs and we were almost evicted for having one but there are about 15 other people in here with pits and other big dogs that she's aware of! 3 live in HER building and she says nothing. Drunk people every weekend blasting music and fighting and yelling outside. The ONLY good thing about this place is the 2 bedroom is only 599. Other than that I can't wait to get the heck out of here! And it's only been 5 months.
I've only lived here five months and I am counting the days till my lease is up. If you want an apartment where everything is practically broken, FLEA INFESTED, noisy neighbors on every side, and a gossiping lanlord this place is for you! I am so incredibly tempted to get lawyers involved to get me out of here.
Moved 1 month ago like it convenient facilities lovely manager
