Property Ratings at Waterside Apartments
I have been living here at Waterside for over a year and a half with my partner and have enjoyed living in this apartment community. This is by far the best apartment that we've lived in! And I would say the rent that we pay is within reason given the inflated rates nowadays. The apartment complex is only a few years old and is pretty quiet for the most part. Quiet hours are at 10pm and people will typically respect that unlike other places we've lived in. I appreciate that Lori, the property manager, maintains a high standard here and does not tolerate partying or any other disruptive behavior. Lori goes above and beyond for the tenants here and is prompt when responding to questions or relaying important updates to the community, especially regarding imminent weather. Lori and Adelaido always ensure that the sidewalks and roads are shoveled during snow/icy conditions. They really care about making sure we are safe and go above and beyond to maintain the cleanliness of the property! There is no litter on the grounds, they keep it that clean! The hallways and elevators are vacuumed weekly as well. Garbage is picked up consistently and Lori even ensures that it does not get too piled up and will even let tenants know if there are any delays in garbage pick-ups. The garbage dumpsters and recycling bins are locked, so non-tenants cannot enter. Any maintenance requests that we've had, which have only been a few since we've lived here, have always been responded to in a timely manner. Adelaido who runs maintenance does a great job responding to our requests and follows through with any questions we have. When we did notice an ant situation in our apartment, Lori and Adelaido both worked on finding the source and resolved it immediately. We haven't had a problem since. Both are efficient, kind, and professional in ensuring the needs of tenants are met. We have not had any management / maintenance that has given the excellent tenant support that they have! It is important to note that this apartment complex has a smaller parking lot, so it may be trickier for people with multiple cars. However, I do appreciate that it is assigned parking and that there is a covered parking spot for each unit. We have not had a problem with people parking in our spot. If this does happen, all tenants are given a number to call to have a car towed if they are parked in someone’s spot. In all, I would highly recommend living here at Waterside Apartments!
I have lived at Waterside for almost two years with my boyfriend. This was our first experience in an apartment and the staff here, as well as, the environment have made it the best possible experience. I believe this place is completely underrated and have recommended it to everybody that I can. The staff is on top of keeping the elevator, hallways and parking lot spotless. We have only had ONE small maintenance issue, a light switch, in the two years we have been here which was reported and fixed the next day with ease. They make it extremely accessible by having the property manger around A LOT but also by having a website to report these issues or find instructions on how to help. I have had no bad experiences here. There is plenty of good food around as well as a park and gym VERY close. I have had no issues with neighbors and the other residents here are very respectful. The balconies are a huge plus and there is a lot of storage considering my space was 900+ft and we have never had any issue with space. It’s a pretty quiet area but has many popular businesses surrounding it. If you’re thinking about Waterside, do it!!! It’s completely worth it, feels like you’re in a brand new building everyday because of how well it is kept up with.
If you are an adult professional person who appreciates when rules are followed and contract you sign followed ta a T? This is the place for you!! I have lived in this community for about 2 years. What I like about this place. The manager, is honest, straightforward and knows her job well. If there's something happening with the property, you will know it. The beautiful spotless apartment you move into. It's a couple years old but it felt brand new. The last snow that we had? First property I've ever lived at that they've shoveled a pathway on the sidewalks This allowed us to get to our mail & our cars. Locked dumpsters. No dumpster divers here. Maintenance requests are responded to in a timely manner. A secure door to get inside the building. Quiet hallways that are carpeted and kept clean as you get to your front door. A covered parking spot for each unit. Security cameras. I know what my rent will be every month because of water, sewer and garbage is paid. No smoking anywhere on the property, it's not tolerated, seriously. Cons Someone who does not read their contract and moves in here, thinking they can be sneaky and break the rules. Hello, and to all whom this may regard, I have had the pleasure of being a renter at Waterside Apartments for over a year and have noticed many things that may help you in deciding if this is the right place for you or not; this is my pure and honest opinion based on the experiences I’ve had and will continue to have as I stay here. This location offers a variety of amenities that other competitors do not have for this price while also being newly constructed. Such amenities include hardwood floors, in unit washer/dryer, island in the kitchen, modern appliances, mantle & fireplace, secured/gated building, plus a gated playground for your kids. In addition, good management is hard to find and Lori the office manager here is outstanding; due to the simple act of continued kindness, professionalism, honesty, and overall care for this location and all occupants living here. This is shown through the constant communication and dedication to her job which is greatly appreciated; I feel I can say this for everyone living here.
We lived there for over a year, but it's very noisy because it faces N Hanley St. The road is busy even late night and early morning, and they don't allow installation of curtains to block the noise. There's balcony, but it's also too noisy to stay out on. There is a strong weed smell inside the building, and you can smell it from corridor and even in your own apartment. You can't open the window because of the smell. Our car was broken into in the apartment assigned parking lot. The maintenance guy damaged the rim of the fireplace while he was repairing it and he told us he would come back to fix it. After a while he and previous manager are gone. Then current manager asked us to cover the damage. I am glad we moved out from that apartment. It's new and looked good to begin with but had a lot of issues.
Managers don’t care about anything and don’t address any issues that you bring to them. If you want to enjoy listening to the neighbors above you, below you and next to you blast music all night and listen to children screaming all night, this is the place for you!
