True to its name, North Charleston is an area spanning north of Downtown Charleston. The Charleston International Airport sits in the heart of the city, making the city convenient for both visitors and residents. Property Ratings at Waverly Place
If you're looking for a place where the office staff doesn't return phone calls or emails then this is your place! If you like trash constantly blowing through the complex and having packages stolen off your doorstep then this is your place! And if you absolutely LOVE traffic, thenrhis is your place! Waverly Place
Do not believe all you see. If you are lucky and have no problems it can be a pleasant stay. On the other hand, if you are in need of maintenance or repairs rest assured they will look and procrastinate as long as possible. If pool is closed after hours rest assured that the grill area and fitness room will not be accessible unless you jump the gate. I am sure that property has many requests for maintenance but after 6/7 mo the you would think the problems should be solved. They just sign off on the work requests as complete and do nothing or bare minimum.
The photos on the website don't represent the complex. They have what they call "classic" apartments which are the run down ones, and then they have renovated apartments, for which I haven't seen. The leasing team is unprofessional and dishonest, and their standards are low. If you are okay with that then this is the place to be. My son has been living here for about 2 months, and has had nothing but problems with slow or no solution. His problems include but are not limited to the following: Moldy smell, kitchen base boards are water damaged, the dryer doesn't work, the dishwasher didn't work and was filled with dirt and dead bugs (but it was replaced), there was a roach infestation, the ceiling caved in from water damage and a venomous snake got in through the water damaged wood.
My family and I recently moved from out of state which is always stressful not knowing the area. Connie and her staff were just amazing helping us making the move so much easier. Waverly place is a great place to live. It has everything you need. I highly recommend giving Connie a call and being part of a great community here at Waverly place!!
Since day one of being here, we have had nothing but problems with this apartment complex. We were told lies after lies after lies after lies about everything we needed and now getting kicked out. There is mold everywhere. We are pretty sure there is a rat in the wall, paint is chipping, water gets cold after 2 minutes and the neighbors are loud and obnoxious. This neighborhood is one of the worsts I have ever seen. The only good thing about this apartment is the front desk person Connie. She is like an apartment mom
Waverly Place is working hard to keep everyone safe from snow and ice. The entire team joining in to clear sidewalks. Way to go!!!

I've been here for about 4 years and the place continues to get worse as time goes on. It was quiet with nice residents and clean. Now you have no idea who moves in beside you. There's constantly police issues because of the nutjobs they put in. The rent continues to go up but they don't want to come fix your stuff. The maintenance is understaffed and only one person who knows what he's doing. It's impossible for him to take care of all appts. The gate has worked less than half of the time I've lived here, seriously. It never works. The pool is filled with crazy people who don't live in the development during summer months. It was great the first 2 years but now I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
So far so good... Very pleasant and professional staff, clean, quick maintenance, online payments and maintenance scheduling... No complaints here! Very quite!
Thoroughly have enjoyed living at this apartment complex so far. Maintenance and office are very friendly, quick, and efficient. Pool area is extremely nice as well as the apartments themselves. Safe apartment complex and great parking. Zero complaints!
After searching what seemed to be, every apartment in Charleston, we were looking for that "perfect fit", and found it! This apartment has a great location and surrounding area, well kept, and friendly staff and neighbors! After comparing DOZENS of prices and amenities, this one was it... Save yourself the time, and look here first! ...and please say this review was helpful!
We're new to charleston and new to Waverly Place, but have experienced nothing but great things from the helpful staff here!
The apartments layout is good. But around is dirty. There is trash all around the stairs and parking lot. They don't enforce no smoking in the apartments. They have a lot of young kids and they're very loud and they don't do anything about complaints. If something in the apartment needs fixing they respond pretty fast. But the workers don't seem to respect privacy. When they need to do maintenance, sometimes we don't know about it and then they just walk in. Its ridiculous.
We have lived at Waverly Place for a year now. Its decent enough that we will be staying until we buy a house and never have to live in another apartment again! We've had our fair share of issues and complaints just as most apartments have. Overall, we've sucked it up because the location works for our current jobs, but I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend these units.
