If you're looking for that cozy, small-town feel interspersed with the excitement of a big city, then Wilmington is the place for you. Located in the northern-most portion of Delaware near the Pennsylvania border and close to the city of Philadelphia, PA, Wilmington has plenty to offer no matter what your age or interests. The specific neighborhood of the city that's best for you can vary based on your budget, but some of the more popular neighborhoods include Trolley Square (which is known for its beautiful architecture) and Bradywine Park (which is dotted with lovely parks and nature trails).
If you're the artsy type, you'll love visiting the Delaware Art Museum, located on Kentemere Parkway. Here, you can enjoy viewing work from local and globally known artists ranging anywhere from the mid 1800s to present day. Be sure to visit plenty throughout the year, though, as they're always featuring new exhibits and galleries.

Property Ratings at Wawaset Place Apartments
I have lived here for four years, Management answers all questions and concerns very quickly. The team in the rental office is always very friendly, polite and takes every matter very seriously. Maintenace is always done right away. Recommend this complex to everyone
This place is quite with a beautiful English garden courtyard. People are friendly and not a lot of kids. I enjoy the private parking lot and the attentive management team. The location is close to my job downtown but away from the congestion.
Lived here for 5 years and have enjoyed it very much. Management and maintenance are very kind, polite and take care of whatever is in need of repair. Landscaping is well maintained and trash is always picked up. Recommend this place to anyone who wants to live in a quiet, clean and friendly place.
In the search for an affordable apartment, close to my job in Wilmington, but also with some modern features, I felt good when I met with the leasing people here, as they didn't just try to convince me of why I needed the highest priced available apartment, or to put me in one that didn't meet my needs. I felt the employee treated me with respect by listening to what I felt was most important for me in my first place to live on my own. She asked me questions like: How I planned to use the apartment. It wasn't a question I had been asked in my search, and not one I had even considered. By taking the time to learn about me, I felt comfortable moving into the 1BR at first, and upgrading to the 2BR when available at my first renewal. The team here always answered my questions, addressed problems when they arose, and made me feel like a valued client. I was saddened earlier this year when my work found me leaving Delaware for the first time in my life. But I had a great experience here for the 3 years that I resided, and would recommend to people looking for that 'first apartment'
Management fixes every little thing reported. Employees are friendly, especially the office lady.
They paint over mold, Constient Water Problems and Heads Up!! Make sure y'all get Renters Insurance before loving there. In the lease it says "Renters Insurance Must Be Updated". It doesn't say it is Manditory it sounds optional. Don't hurt yourselves living here. If you do I wish you the best but it was one thing after another. Also the Landlord when I got my keys she was rude, pulled me away from my witness and will try and scam you for money.
