Property Ratings at Webster Woods Townhouse Apartments
The house has great spaces, the manager is great and the crew is always kind and helpful. Lived there for 2 years and had no trouble at all. Pool is great for summer.
I HAVE LIVED HER SINCE 2017 and only keep renewing because of my rental manager. She’s awesome always handles everything that needs to be done.
I lived there for 3 years and it was a battle to get anything done there. On more than one occasion the management tried to charge me for things that they are supposed to provide. I think Managers get a bonus based on keeping their costs down. In addition we were looking to move out and came up on our 4th year and we renewed the lease (for lack of anything available in Webster) and a couple weeks later my job told me that they were re-locating me to NC. I asked if I could get out of my lease (since I had just signed it) and they told me my only option was to sub-let the place. I asked why I couldn't just find a replacement because I didn't want to be responsible for some one's cleanliness (since I'm not in the rental business) and they told me I had to stay on the lease. So I reluctantly found someone and they did a background check and had them sign a sub lease agreement. I was told that if they damaged anything that they (the new tenants) would be asked to pay for the damages first but I was ultimately responsible. When the lease was up, they deducted 500 from my deposit and said it was for cleaning etc. in the apartment based on the walk through and if I wanted to recoup anything from the tenants I sub leased to, then I would have to take them to small claims but they weren't going to ask them to pay for any damages. This company will nickle and dime you. If possible, rent somewhere else. They do not have your best interest in mind and they will take any money from you that they can.
If I could give 0 stars I would. The apartments were very cheaply constructed, had issues with heating and cooling the apartment due to the thin walls and concrete floor. I could always hear my neighbors TV on and I had issues with ants as well as random nails in the carpet that my baby kept cutting her tiny hands on. This place was horrific and I had a terrible experience here. The only positive thing about the place was Pat the maintenance guy, he was fantastic. Based on the price of the apartments, especially for Rochester, they are way overpriced for their cheap construction. I would definitely try your luck with another apartment complex, especially if you have young children with all the safety hazards the apartment and complex presented.
I spent 240.00 dollars of my own money to have the carpets professionally cleaned. Unfortunately, a strong cat urine smell persisted I subletted the unit for three months and was happy to leave. On two occasions I received a bill for carpet cleaning totaling $156.00. I was never informed there would be a cleaning fee when I assumed the lease. I left the unit cleaner than when I moved in. Be careful!
