Wellington Apartments

Pretty nice apartment for a decent price. The staff is very friendly and helpful if you have questions. My only complaint is that it can be difficult to get maintenance to fix things, and you don't get updates when they do.

i highly recommend the property they are very responsive during my application process and followed up with any maintenance issues that needed to be fixed after moving in. I really had a great experience with the company as a whole and the staff. I couldn't recommend them more. They are always friendly and quick to respond to issues. My move in was really easy and quick.

Wellington Apartments is a friendly community with great amenities, responsive staff and many dog friendly trails nearby! We love living here!

The staff and maintenance is great. There is an issue if your lease is not due to renew until mid month and your rent increases. Their system won’t charge you the difference until after your renewal date and you get a bill after you already paid rent for the month.

Had to call maintenance because my AC was not working. They were there 1st thing in the morning and assured me that it would be taken care of right away. Maint staff is AMAZING!!!

Everything about living here has been great for the most part! My only complaint is with my garage. I put it multiple requests to get it fixed and nothing changed and now am waiting for the service supervisors to find me one that works near my unit. Aside from that I haven’t had any issues. The Wellington team has been great with getting back to me regarding my garage and helping any way they can

The apartments are very clean and very beautiful I really love living here, the kreo gym stores are close to you that it has been a great option to choose these apartments

Great environment to live in! Neighbors are super kind and friendly. I enjoy the gym and the pool. The office is always willing to help! Very peaceful apartments to live in!

We just moved in but the apartment is wonderful and nice and quiet neighbor hood love to see the dogs at the park and to be able to sit out side and listen to the birds

Wellington is a great place to live! It is safe, friendly, and the staff are proactive. The apartments are also pet friendly which is very important to us. The maintenance staff is excellent, but we really haven't had many issues to begin with. Considering the location, two pools, the gym, and overall quality, I think Wellington is one of the best bangs for your buck in the Des Moines area.

Quiet neighborhood, with tons of trees and the perfect location in West Des Moines! We plan to stick around for more years to come!

Wellington is definitely a place I’m proud to call home. The atmosphere is welcoming and there is so much offered. Newly renovated apartments is a plus.

Beautiful property. Very quiet. I love the dog parks and swimming pools. Looking forward to trying out the fitness center soon. My apartment is roomy, I don’t hear my neighbors at all.

Honestly, in the week that I have been in here, I absolutely like the responsiveness of the maintenance crew. I have had a couple work orders submitted and if they haven't come the same day it was the next day.

Moved in over the weekend. The leasing lady was very helpful and my apartment was spotless. Such a quite apartment can’t hear any of the neighbors.

I really liked living here in the neighborhood, because it is very quiet and all the people are very friendly, I like how they encourage the love of pets, I also congratulate the maintenance people of the condominium for the great job they do to maintain it everything at a hundred.

Love this place! quiet, good for kids and families, amenities are easy to use and management gets back to you quickly. i’ve never had an issue with maintenance either

The staff are attentive, supportive, efficient, and friendly. The amenities are great, we use them all. The apartments are nice, spacious, and most of the neighbors are friendly and quiet. There are lots of dogs, and the dog parks are kept up quite well. This was my first apartment at 19, from 2002 to to 2004. Moving back here has felt like coming home. We love it here!

Peaceful place to live! Moved here from downtown Des Moines and so far we really enjoy the area, the amenities and how pet friendly Wellington is!

Terrible service, location, rent price for the type of small apartments, the people in the office treat you terrible , all in all would not advise my worst enemy to one of these places

Love how easy it was to move in and all the amenities available so close to our place. Way nicer place for our dog to enjoy as well with the dog grooming station and dog park so close.

I think Wellington seems nice. I’m new, but my dog and me love the open grounds and dog parks. I’ll be checking out more of the amenities soon. I had a maintenance issue and they came right away. Sebastian is completely cool in the leasing office.

Staff is always very friendly. The yard is kept up very nicely. Maint. is ALWAYS very quick to responded when needed. I love the fact that there are so many mature trees which brings in lots of birds and animals.

Easy move in, quiet neighborhood. Also very close to Jordan Creek. Just wish the washer and dryer were full size and kitchen appliances were nicer.

Everyone has been nice and helpful. Our move was very stressful because of other problems with our move and also the moving company broke our tv. So far at Wellington it has been great

So far the experience has been great! Staff has been very helpful in answering any questions I’ve had. Everything was well prepared for the most part in my apartment. Only negative thing so far is the shower drain was clogged but that’s a minor fixable issue. Aside from that I m very much enjoying the apartment and community!

I love the apartment so far! I like having in unit laundry. The pool and gym are very nice. I like that we have all new stainless steel appliances!

Great staff so far, excellent and fast service from maintenance! I just moved in a couple of days ago, but the property is beautiful and well-maintained.

So happy the pools have been open the last 2 years as we’ve been here 6 years and they were never open prior. Maintenance is great and the office is very helpful when assistance is needed.

Amazing and always quiet, love the pool and the gym! I find my neighbors friendly and kind! I always take my dog to the park too! It’s an amazing experience

They are very comfortable, the neighborhood is very quiet, surrounded by vegetation and animals. The maintenance team is very capable, they are very polite and very professional. I really love living here, 100% recommended.

It’s ok, maintenance people are good. I have had a couple rude people in the office when talking on the phone all females. Really drives to using the app when needing something and really don’t know why they are so mad

Wellington is a nice apartment complex with good management. There are some hiccups from time to time like pools opening later in the summer or renovations that need to be made to an older complex. The maintenance team is very good here.

The apartment itself is spacious and well-designed. The layout makes good use of the space, and there is plenty of natural light. The kitchen is complete with appliances, and the living areas are comfortable. One of the standout features is the fitness center, which provides a nice spot to workout.

Could be better use to love it here but lately feels like issue after issue. Management doesn’t really help when talked to and the residents have been out of dog bags for the past month

Greystar seems to cheap out on stuff like renovations and maintenance. The exteriors were renovated and painted in the last year which is nice, but the gutters have been falling off of the roofs just months after being replaced. This matches the interior renovation experience. Service requests can take anywhere from a day or two to a couple months to complete. They didn't hire plumbers to do plumbing in the new units and caused multiple water leaks in just a couple months. They had to cut up and replace some wet ceilings which took over four weeks to send someone to patch up the open holes with no communication from the office or maintenance. My unit was without a refrigerator for 6 weeks and when it finally got replaced, it was just some filthy fridge that had been sitting in a garage or empty unit for months. Documents get lost consistently. My garage was apparently needed for excess storage but they didn't tell me that and just started using it before eventually assigning me a new one. It's a nice location and the general maintenance people themselves are super friendly. So I do hope Greystar tries to put some effort in some day. They love to say they're trying to improve but after two years the results haven't shown much if any actual attempt to do that.

the management here are very unproffesional, walked into the leasing office to meet for a tour. Upon entering a leasing agent was blaring rap music about drugs and sex. Keep in mind I had my 7 year old with me. We immediately walked out and never returned. With him being so influenced at this age he continues singing the part of the song he heard to this day whenever he wants to show off.

I'd give them 0 stars if possible. Benefits of living in Wellington? Forget about swimming or going to the gym, as they've been under "construction" indefinitely and may never be finished! Do you like long walks? Great! Due to other eternal construction projects, enjoy walking a quarter mile from your parking spot to your unit! But best of all is their outstanding, best in class Tennant service! When it comes time to renew your lease, enjoy price hikes ranging from $1000 more/month to $4000 if you want to go month to month! The wonderful ladies at the leasing office will tell you that the hikes are to "avoid mass exodus" (try to square that circle) and then hang up on you! Unethical, bad business, and no wonder why everyone is leaving.

location, maintenance, and landscaping are great but both pools have been closed since 2019 so not sure why they still advertise that this amenity is available

I hate writing negative reviews, but I feel an obligation to warn people away from Wellington Apartments. Since moving in about a little over a year ago, I've had problems with my toilet, my bathtub tap, my kitchen sink leaking, my refrigerator leaking, my hot water heater failed, my dishwasher doesn't function, and when I moved in, the drawers in the kitchen and bathroom were filled with nail clippings and other trash. It took six months for the management to replace one of those drawers. When I signed up for a garage, they clearly didn't clean it out, as there was broken glass in one corner and a pile of poop in another. I consistently have to hound maintenance to fix any of these problems. Management has also shown an unwillingness to compromise or work together to make my space livable. Last summer, they closed the pool early, so it was open for less than a month, despite it being the top amenity listed! I've really tried to make Wellington work for me, and I've approached the management team in good faith multiple times, but they do not appear to care or have any desire to help fix my apartment. If I could afford it, I would break my lease in a heartbeat. I highly recommend avoiding Wellington Apartments if you can!
