At the heart of Missouri, Columbia is truly one of America’s greatest college towns. The University of Missouri sits right at the center of the city, and generally serves as the cultural hub for the wider community. Locals, whether connected directly to the university or not, regularly visit campus for sporting events, concerts, gallery exhibitions, lectures, and more. Just north of campus, Downtown Columbia features a thriving mix of coffee shops, restaurants, nightclubs, taverns, and performance venues, largely catering to the huge numbers of students from Mizzou, as well as the smaller Stephens College and Columbia College.
Of course, the community extends well beyond the collegiate environment at the city center. The University of Missouri Health Care system is the second-biggest employer in town, so the community of healthcare professionals in town is quite extensive. The cost of living is quite affordable, and there are numerous apartments and rental homes to fit any budget.

Property Ratings at Wellington Manor
Shirley(Property Manager) is extremely helpful and considerate with any questions/issues you have. The apartments themselves are well kept and are a great place to live. The complex is a peaceful place as well.
This is the best place I have lived in Columbia (have had 3 apartments). Shirley the property manager (as well as her husband) are quick to respond for maintenance issues, if you're locked out at any time of the night or day, and even check in with their residents if they know something is going on (My heating unit broke and they called to ensure I wasn't getting cold and to update on a timeframe that the part would be in etc). Additionally they went above and beyond to install security cameras after realizing part of the property was not seen on the other cameras! Would recommend to anyone looking for an apartment to live here- they are pleasant and helpful always.
The apartments are well kept and Shirley took care of any questions I had.
Shirley was incredible prompt at answering my questions and resolving any issues! A great find in Columbia, MO.
I spoke several times with one of the property managers, Shirley, about a unit and she was very informative and knowledgable about availability, cost, move in, and all the specifics of the property. She was able to provide a tour for us to see the unit in person and answered any question we had throughout the process. I really enjoyed the safe and community-like aspect this property provides as well as the welcoming nature of the management.
My wife and I have lived here for 4 years and have had a wonderful experience. The property is well maintained and Troy does a great job at clearing and salting the roads during snowstorms before most people need to leave for work. The apartments are well designed and have many high-quality features throughout for the rental price. Shirley is always quick to respond and finds someone to take care of any issues we have. I highly recommend this apartment complex!
We have greatly enjoyed living here and hope to live here for more years to come! It is in a quiet, little neighborhood. Troy and Shirlee always promptly respond if there is any problems and always address our concerns. They are great landlords and are always happily willing to take care of us. We highly recommend this place!
Grateful to have such great owners. Responsive, great folks. So appreciative of them both! ??
My roommates and I lived here for three years and it was wonderful! The location was great, the property was always well-maintained, especially during the winter and the apartment itself had wonderful natural lighting! Loved it!
This complex is very nice, quiet, clean and safe. My wife and I rented for over 2 years while saving up for our first home and it was a perfect stepping stone. Great access to the highways in Columbia and the owners are involved and helpful. Highly recommend.
This is a well maintained, quiet, clean and safe townhomes and neighborhood. The location is ideal with being close to hwy 63 and I-70 and it’s tucked away in a nice neighborhood. The landlord and management company is very responsive!
Wellington Manor is a very cooperative and friendly place to live! The landlords are patient and thoughtful of their tenants and I felt at home here! I would recommend Wellington Manor because it is a peaceful, quiet neighborhood and is close to the University, MACC, Columbia College, and downtown!
Not just an apartment this is home. Wonderful neighborhood and neighbors! Management is prompt to respond and caring.
Wellington Manor is the best place I’ve ever lived! The community is wonderful, houses are beautiful and well taken care of, and the staff are so sweet and caring! Location is wonderful, just enough outside the city to feel nice, but close enough to not have to drive far for the necessities. Grounds are so well groomed and taken care of and they are very easy to get ahold of with any issues. They are people you trust! Would recommend this place to anyone!
I absolutely love Wellington Manor and would highly recommend this complex to anyone who is looking for a quiet and friendly community. It is perfectly located close to downtown, 63 & I-70, and women’s and children’s hospital. The staff is also amazing! They are easy to get ahold of and will come to your apartment to adjust or fix something in a very timely manner. They also were able to clean off the driveways/parking lot/sidewalks with the huge snow storm whenever it stopped snowing and help me dig out my vehicle. Perfect place to stay for a new graduate beginning her career!!
We loved the year we spent at Wellington Manor. The location cannot be beat. It is close to downtown, all major highways, and the University of Missouri. We work in the medical field, and getting to work only took minutes. Quiet place and the landlord was great.
We loved living here so much. It was a professional community with no undergraduates. Very quiet and peaceful. Maintenance was always very prompt and helpful, though there were rarely any needs. We have bought a home now and moved out but this was an amazing place to live for the last 4 years. Also, it is extremely close to both 63 and 70 which made getting to work a breeze.
