With curving roads, towering trees, and plenty of green space separating apartments and houses for rent, The Thicket is appropriately named. This wooded neighborhood is located in western Greensboro about six miles away from downtown. The Thicket is next to one of Greensboro’s commercial hubs, so residents have a variety of restaurants, department stores, and popular retailers near their homes. With easy access to major roadways like Interstate 40 and 73, residents can easily travel across the Greensboro metropolitan. The Thicket provides a quiet retreat from the city’s vibrant downtown area while remaining close enough to its major attractions. The Thicket is convenient to Greensboro Coliseum Complex, a large entertainment venue for sporting events, concerts, and more. The neighborhood is also a short drive away from Bennet College, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.

Property Ratings at Wendover River Oaks
I have lived here since 2018 in multiple apartments. Andrea has always gone above and beyond to help me. Kind and caring staff! The property is beautiful and always kept up very well! You can take advantage of free coffee or tea in the office anytime! The resort style pool is one of my favorite parts of the property.

Great secluded apartment with nice amenities and a lot of space. The staff has been very helpful and super accommodating to me, especially Andrea. She helped me understand all parts of the lease and always replied back to me quickly. I felt like at times I was constantly asking questions or reaching out and she was very patient and informative. Even when Andrea was unavailable, Drew stepped in and even gave me a tour. I have no complaints and would recommend living here.

Hey there! Customer care is a top priority for us at Wendover River Oaks, so we greatly appreciate you taking the time to recognize our team. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need anything further!
This is an older property but I liked the remodel upgrades/modifications. Bright paint with new flooring made the apartment look awesome. The 3rd floor apartments with the skylight is perfect. Enjoyed meeting the staff and I liked knowing that they have been working at that property for years!!! This place is close to everything and the a quick jump to the highway.
Let me start by saying the only plus to living here was being close to everything & maintenance- they were super quick an efficient with work orders. I moved here abruptly in 2019 to a bottom level unit. Upon my initial move in things were fine. I was having issues with my neighbors with frequent loud noise disturbances and commotion all times of night. My 1st problem was when I report to the office my complaints and management flat out told the male that I specifically said something and the gentleman approached me, I was shook. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I then just asked if I could be moved to a different unit since nothing was done about the noise and fighting with the couple above- they told me I would have to pay a $500 moving fee and that there weren’t any units open but I could after one became available. The next day the same gentleman, whom was not on the lease (told to me by management, she tells everyone’s other people’s business, again VERY UNPROFESSIONAL) was shot right outside of the apartment while I was home early that morning. Of course a unit “magically” opened up within a few days and I was able to move smh. I then had issues in the new building with a lower level neighbor assaulting me and management again deflected the whole situation and made it be about me not picking up dog poop as if that had ANYTHING to do with the issue at hand. Just save yourself the headache because Cornia doesn’t do her job. I reached out to the BBB because there were so many acts of negligence to paying residence from people who do not even legally leave on the premises. Wouldn’t recommend anyone leaving here. I was so unproblematic as a tenant and everything was really just thrown back on me as if I caused all the problems I dealt. 0/10 recommend wouldn’t!!!
Roaches. I lived there for 2 years. No problems except lazy maintenance. A new tenant brought roaches. The office did not respond fast enough. I moved out early, thankfully without taking them with me. I had to exterminate every month until I left. Management kept saying wait until we exterminate in a month. Then cancelled the exterminator.
Dog poop EVERYWHERE! Sketchy neighbors, package theives, and extremely dirty, unhealthy surroundings! Not safe for anyone!
I have a very lengthy google review posted, if you have time read it for the details. The apartment itself is beautiful, but the neighborhood is awful and our cars are constantly damaged. We deal with excessive noise every night, the police are frequently called, dog attacks and even a hit and run. They don’t care about the cleanliness of the apartments and bugs are a problem in our building. They don’t care about trash either. Cheryl was very helpful in getting us moved in, but refused to help or even record in our file any of the issues we have dealt with since our residency began. It is time for our renewal and we didn’t even get a phone call inviting us to stay, instead we got a dry letter informing us that our rate with increase because they are forcing us to sign on with a renters insurance policy of their choice. Never mind that they required us to have it when we moved in and we already have two policies.
Need new appliances front door need insulation upgrade everything
I've lived there for 4 years and rent always increases, no changes to community. Poor customer service and crazy tenants. In the area I am in the cops have been called 9 times and those tenants still live there!
