I lived in the apartment 614 with my sister and son for just a year before moving out. We moved in august 28,2022. The reason why we moved is because there was a roaches infestation in the apartment and also mold as well. We had roaches all over the apartment. Roaches coming out of the microwave, fridge, my dishes, bathrooms as well. There has been countless times when I'm sleeping and I'll have to wake up because there is a roach crawling on my body. If you leave your food uncovered, there will be roaches inside by the time you get back. We got sick countless of times.I spoke to Bonnie severally about this and nothing was done. I have to call for pest control every week but we were told that nothing can be done because we have a german roach infestation. I had a friend bring me a medicine for roaches from my country and nothing worked. I even bought some roach medicines at Walmart and Home Depot but nothing worked. I have lived at other apartments before and I have never experienced this before. The biggest mistake we made was not reading reviews before moving into the community. Apparently I went online and people have had similar experiences in the past. Also, there was a garden snake that was found in the middle of our hallway a month before we moved out. I wasn’t home on that day. I was told by my neighbors that the snake went into our apartment and when I tell you till I left no animal control was called to come and check the apartment. My sister, son and I had to stay in a hotel for a while and when we couldn’t afford that anymore, we started staying with friends till we moved. I have pictures of the snake found in the hallway, roaches, and the cracks all over the house that the roaches hides in. I wish I could upload the pictures. Please stay away from unit 614 if you can because I believe the roaches are still there maybe the snake too. Be warned.

The grounds are super well kept(which is a huge deal to me personally.) The leasing agents, especially Wendy, were super helpful and knowledgeable about what can be done to help you as a renter out. Wendy and the quality of living at this complex had me sold within 10 minutes.
I've lived there for over a year sadly. The window frames had mold all over them, they clearly had not been cleaned in many years and nor had the windows themselves. The walls are poorly painted with numerous marks and chips all over the apartment - including damp patches on the ceiling. The kitchen should of been replaced long ago, even after scrubbing for hours it still looked awful. The countertops are marked and chipped, the sink had dents in it and the fridge/freezer looks like it had been in a boxing match. Even the vegetable sprayer was broken. The bathroom also had mold around the bath itself and the ceiling is also discoloured from damp and the extractor was rusted and filthy. Even the mirror is chipped all around the edge and you couldn't remove it. Funnily enough, we had to wait for the maintenance people to sort out the apartment before we moved in and we ended up having to ring numerous times to get an answer on a date that we could move in. I'm honestly not sure what that meant - they must spend a minute at most checking it over. We put in a maintenance request a week after we moved in, nobody bothered to come look. We made another request and surprise, we never heard anything. If you read other reviews, this is a common issue. We had emails saying no BBQ's on balconies when we had a member of their staff living next door and he BBQ'd pretty much every night. Even their own staff don't care about the rules. That all coupled with the daily sounds of music blasting at volume 11 and kids screaming their heads off well beyond 9pm. The gates never being locked and the constant drug dealing in the car park. It was one thing after another and I regret not taking more notice of other reviews. Now they're even trying to claim we didn't give adequate notice when we had a manager confirm everything was fine in regards to that on two separate occasions. The staff in the leasing office are the most useless people you will ever come across. I'm shocked they even know how to tie their shoelaces before they come to work in the morning. How they're still employed is one of life's great mysteries. Avoid this place at all costs.
When I first visited, the staff was more than accommodating. Wendy showed me a beautiful one bedroom that I will be applying for asap! Keep up the great work!!!!
I moved here spring 2016 due to needing a place to stay in 2 weeks and I ended up here...without any research on the amenities or issues that current tenants might have. Don't be fooled the upgraded & renovated units look amazing but its much deeper than that. It was great in the beginning it was my first place ever & they were very accommodating. About a month in the roaches started coming first only at night then it would be during the day time. I would dread waking up in the morning to see roaches scatter when the lights came one. Then i started seeing these huge and i mean HUGE water bugs...yuckkk by then i had a crawling child and were constantly cleaning.I tried to tell myself its an apartment these bugs come with it but it became too much. When my lease was up i was dragging my feet and was unable to find anything i like so i stayed for another year. Just got a bigger unit. Thankfully no roaches this go around!! However the upgraded units look amazing i opened my oven door and the entire thing tipped over...my dish washer doesn't fully drain all the water out and smells like mildew constantly. There is paint on my door handles, you see where they just painted over damaged walls didn't even attempt to patch it up neatly. I had been trying to figure out why my electric bill was soo high after finally going around and cleaning i noticed non of my windows closed. I mean almost 2-3 inches open some with no screens. I finally figured out why we recently started having bugs. The late fees are outrageous for a couple days late on the "payment plan" they offer. They keep their places wayyyy lower then complexes in the area so you feel almost obligated to stay. I would rather spend more money and get a better bang for my buck all the way around. So if you don't mind your kids having to play in the street or tennis court, no laundry facilities, have 2 pools and only one be open the entire season, have your mailbox broken into, have messy loud neighbors that leave bags of trash by their door until they take it, the surplus of stray cats. Oh and lets not forget the Gwinnett County swat team stand offs by all mean come here. Just be prepared !!!!
I will start off by saying that everything appeared to be fantastic, BEFORE I moved in. Before I moved in, the staff was very helpful and friendly. However, after I moved in, everything changed. Within a week of moving in, I noticed some things that needed repair. It took management/maintenance 5 weeks to come out and fix what I needed.. On top of that, the rumors about cockroaches in the apartments is true. I find more and more almost weekly and they don't seem to go away no matter how clean you and your apartment is. Another thing to be weary of is the residents. I have submitted countless noise complaints, called the "courtesy officer" several times due to threatening situations and nothing seems to make a difference. Depending on which building in the complex you move in to, be prepared to get minimal sleep due to the residents screaming at each other and blasting music from their cars or apartments at ALL hours of the day and night. Also be prepared to not feel safe in your own apartment when, if you politely ask the neighbors to quiet down, they threaten you and try to fight you. I would NEVER ever recommend these apartments to ANYONE. Save yourself the money, time and stress and find another compress besides Wesley Place.
ROACHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVERYWHERE!!!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE. ITS NICE WHILE DAYLIGHT BUT AFTER DARK THE ROACHES COME OUT. In my case I wasn't so lucky because they came out during the day too. Went to go paint and roaches was there like they pay rent. The workers in the office is helpful until you move in or decided to get a refund- I got my keys on 6/4/16 and was back on 6/5/16 to turn them. They are in the bathroom on top of all the carpet and they change their carpet every 5 years so when I sprayed raid under the little whole of carpet the carpet started moving. They give you the run around with a refund but quick to take your money. Worst apartment complex I've ever been involved with and I'm from Detroit. So that tells you something about this mess of an apartment. I KNOW YOUR LOOKING AN DNEED SOMETHING NICE AND THE PRICES ARE REASONABLE BUT KEEP DRIVING AND KEEP SCROLLING. PLEASE DONT DO IT TO YOURSELF.
I gave these apartments 2 stars, mainly because of my experience as well as the lack of space they are giving you for the amount of money they are charging. These apartments are not new, which I do not have an issue with but they are in need of a complete renovation. The floor feels unstable and they constantly have issues with the plumbing. Don't be fooled by the pictures, the kitchen is nice but that is the only thing they upgraded in the entire apartment. No other renovations were done and they even rushed that renovation. Please take the time to look at the model and compare it to an empty apartment before you make your decision as well as do your extensive research.
I've been here a year and a half. I just resigned for another year. Office staff is excellent. Maintenance is always quick with service. Property maintined routinely. Quiet and pleasant.
We live in a small one bedroom apartment, my husband, my dog & I. It is small & cozy. We have a small balcony in which we grill from time to time. Our mattress is on the floor but we're a happy family nonetheless! This is our very first apartment so as small as it is, we are extremely proud of it & us!
I have been living in this complex for 2 years going on 3 years in April of 2016. You hear neighbors conversations daily in other apartments and across the parking lot with the windows closed. There are no playgrounds for the kids to play and they have to play in the street with moving vehicles coming and going. In phase one my neighbor told me that they did not have screens on their windows so when their A/C went out they were unable to open the windows for air for fear of letting a fly. When my A/C needed to be repaired it took three days for maintenance to come to the apartment to fix it since they had multiple units with the same issue but not enough repair men and it was in the summer time. Plus the bugs are bad in apartments and I keep a clean apartment yet they come in through the cracks of the doors sometimes. I wish I had someone tell me earlier, no need to move here. S Sanchez
